Nice review. Seeing this on your wrist outside was good. Like my Redentore, it's hard to see how well the dial and hands play with the light unless it's in use on a wrist. Have a good weekend!
almost feels like a parmigiani tonda homage, but beautiful in its own right. venezianico as a brand feels a little homage-y but they seem to be doing some nice stuff
Absolutely it is. But I am happy to see a “homage” to an obscure enthusiast high luxury watch. I applaud it. I ordered one. I have JLC, Blancpain, Rolex, Tudor and Omega in my collection so I am not a homage collector. However, a Parmigani Tonda at $25k for time only or time and date in steel still isn’t a reality for me. I’m hoping this scratches the itch.
thank you for your honesty and saying all loud the probleme with the crown... i noticed that for the firts pics and videos.., all watches youtubers seams not see the color and finish probleme of this crown.. Waiting the Arsenale #2 with a crown with the same metal and finish than the watch and a version with second hand. 😁
Wonderfull watch!!!! IMHO, the brand name would be better on the dial, instead of on the minute tracker... They could make this model in 36 mm or 37 mm. It will fit perfectly on my girly wrist... Regards from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Love the channel...
Yo didn't mention it, but the bracelet seemed too large/loose in your outside wrist shot. If that is how it has to wear due to lack of articulation it would also be a severe negative for me. It also seemed to me at first glance that the crown is almost like another metal altogether. The shape I don't mind necessarily, but the finish is not a very elegant match to the watch. The dial and hands are very nice. I guess I would have appreciated something more (if only slightly) to happen with the markers, or perhaps simply a differentiation between certain markers. The bracelet looks good, and yet I find myself wondering if this case and dial did not deserve a differently shaped centre link. Of course this shape is strongly associated with the brand, but I'm not sure it best complements the rest of the design here. Despite all of these points it presents still as a very attractive piece, so they're not flaws necessarily.
@@CasebackWatches yes, this will help the fit, no doubt. But isn't it a problem of link articulation foremost? I think they should have made this watch a smidgen smaller
Nice watch, but looks like a total PARMIGIANI FLEURIER TONDA homage to me. Forgivable for San Martin or Pagani, but here... Not sure. Yes, the watches are not identical, but way too many design elements re-created to be just a regular coincidence. Hints: - Integrated braceled design, obvivously. - Logo and indexes approach - Skeletonized hands - No second hand - Textured dial - Chapter ring - Coin edge bezel - Polishing on outer edges of the bracelet links and central parts brushed. Yes, the execution of elements is different, plus, elephant in the room, Parmigani is a smart-GMT, but all in all, looks like Venezianico is clearly on an homage playground here. I have nothing against it, but the watch isn't cheap (800 EUR, which is nothing against TONDA asking price, but still, not a San Martin price, right?), so, just be aware.
I completely agree: if it were 499 I would buy it becuase I love the Tonda but won’t spend that money now ( will wait a few years and pick one up for way less). It’s genuinely one of my favorite watches and love the design. This does represent a good option to those who will never spend crazy money on watches like us addicts. If I were looking at a microbrand to get into a nice watch this is a pretty good option. Better at 499/599 tho
It's a nice looking watch, but it's too big for the minimalist dial. Also, no seconds hand? If it was quartz, then sure. But an automatic without a seconds hand? That's a hard pass.
Just not a fan of a brand with the movement bait and switching and QC history. Everyone is gonna be rougher at the start, but these guys have quite the negative following.
@@thesolver1970 not on this model, but they have had a rep starting out and honestly a lot of microbrands struggle with consistency at first. They have online groups dedicated to their lack of customer service and qc issues.
It on this model no, but was looking at the brand last year and I found a lot of reports of unhappy customers and even online groups dedicated to their lack customer service and qc issues. Frankly it can happen at the beginning of a brand’s life and they are definitely advertising through Watch TH-cam to get customers back onside. Yema had some issues when they were reborn too, but largely fixed them. Zodiac gets a lot of unfair flack, shoot all they need to do is fix their bracelets. Both those brands also took on the huge task of developing their own movements though. I would just be happy and if you like it enjoy it. A miyota movement should be pretty stout. The design is beautiful.
Wow, what a nice looking watch. I love that bezel and the dial colour are fantastic. That being said, I just wish they put something, writing the word automatic or the watch name, just something abovethe six. It looks a bit sparse without. But that's just me. Otherwise beautiful watch.
Great review Tim, looks like a good alternative to the PRX or Twelve.
Many thanks Tim . The Arsenale is Pure beauty as you say. Breath taking.
Case sort of reminds me of the Oris propilot but less pronounced. That bezel. Very nice watch indeed.
Nice review Tim. Short and to the point. When will we see/hear another guitar solo?

Hey Tim, just wanted to say I've been following for quite a while (review the reviewer days haha) and appreciate every time you upload!
Thanks a lot! The analyzing videos were fun, also from my side :-D
Great looking watch. I just can't do 2 hand watches. I love seeing the second hand tick.
Was thinking the same!

I don't see nothing similar with PF, every detail is different.

very beautiful and classy.
The question is.....Maen Manhatten 39mm or the Venezianico Aresenale 40?
Tough question. Both are great.

Eagly eye! That's the reason why I edited in the hint that half links are available. Found out after filming the watch ;-)

Italian elegance meets Japanese mvmt. Good looking watch, but the price point is deterring my purchase.

Well, if it is meant to be a dress watch, then a seconds hand is unnecessary as is a date, but if it is meant to be GADA, then I agree with you.
The specs don’t add up to $750.
