    What do you think of the wheel? Worthy successor to the "old" GT Pro? Also don't forget to like and subscribe 😊

    • @IronAces
      @IronAces ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really is. The old GT Pro's lights were frustrating, and only present on the toggle switches. The new material is also a huge improvement. The faux-suede/alcantara was horrible to keep in a nice condition. The new material looks much better.

    That endless wireless mod is exactly what I was going to do to an f-core, really reassuring to see that it actually works, thanks for the extra effort you put into your videos!

    i'm doing that wireless mod to my f-pro, wasnt 100% sure on the jst connector size so i ordered a 2.54 and a 2.00mm connector from china, they cost almost nothing anyways. come to think of it, it was you that convinced me to not go with fanatec but make the step up to the high end market and now that i've used the cube controls f-pro for a couple months i'm so glad i listened.

    I find it crazy that these wheels cost as much as a gaming pc. How much can it really cost to build those? This one perhaps its somewhat justified because everything is custom made, but any brand that sells in higher volumes have no excuse imo

    • @philrob4468
      @philrob4468 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Different markets for different people … the people that buy these, like myself, they’re gaming pcs cost a lot more than these wheels. The quality difference in these wheels compared to something about half the price is night and day when I received my fpro by cube controls. the price is completely justified to me once u get one in hands. In my mind it’s like a luxury car… some people think it’s ridiculous the price, and some people don’t and see the quality and craftsmanship in them

    • @truantray

      They are a niche market and certainly overpriced for that is essentially a DC motor. But simps keep buying them.

      @@truantraydefinitely not just a dc motor. With stuff like Simucube, Asetek, and vrs, it’s an industrial servo designed and built for hard use and long service life. Not some piece of fanatec junk. And the wheels are built with high quality materials and components at low volume. Again, not a piece of fantec mass manufactured junk

      High end simraicng is a very small market. Theres not too many simracers that would gladly drop 7 to 10 benjamins on a steering wheel. I doubt that it cost an astonishing amount to make these wheels but its probably still relatively expensive. I personally would be bummed if a wheel was 100$ more than where it could be priced fairly but we love simracing, and mid to high end gear is not going to be purchased by everyone so if it keeps high end simracing alive then I think its worth it.

  • @JoseAAbreu-hq8xr

    I was curious about this (with the GT Zero rim), but, once you add VAT, it becomes too expensive for what it is. The Ascher McLaren wheels start to look a lot more attractive to me.

    Just got today this GT rim and mounted it on a simucube takho 21 button box, it fits very well and I love the shape. However I totally agree with your comment on the grip, I wished they used the same rubber of the CSX3, this is a bit too slippery even with gloves

    I bought the Ascher f28-sc v2 on a Black Friday Deal for 599€ and was hesitating because the new Rims are 300mm and the shifters are quiet, but I wasn't sure if it was worth the extra charge of 200€.

      @Wurldly ปีที่แล้ว

      I got the V1 as well. It has perfect RGB colors for what you would want and great placement of the buttons and The paddles are strong and accurate and perfectly placed. I don’t see a reason to upgrade imo. Companies try to redesign wheels usually not because it’s better but because they want people to ditch the old and buy the new. Also it doesn’t look at high end, I hate that it doesn’t have the Italian colors under the logo and it’s using thinner carbon fiber.
