    "So you lie on top of her with that body." - Jerry
    The crew member exploding in the background right as he gets to the end of that sentence is priceless. Those who missed out on this show missed out on possibly the funniest show ever. Glick was such a genius character and it took the consummate skills of Martin Short to pull it off. Literally everything about this show was absolute genius.

    • @DerlisAGonzalez
      @DerlisAGonzalez 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      The fact that he managed to not break character after Jerry said that is incredible. It almost seems like he covers his face as he scractches his nose to compose himself, it's a split second. You can tell the joke caught Martin off guard but he handled it like the legend he is.

    • @VolvoImpala
      @VolvoImpala 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@DerlisAGonzalez Martin ascended to the stratosphere with Jiminy Glick. Zack Gallifinakis did well with Between Two Ferns but it's just a direct lift of Glick which is fine because we need comedy but if you think you can out-Glick Martin Short you are terribly mistaken.

    • @daveinindy
      @daveinindy ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Seinfeld couldn't stand for Short to get in zingers at his expense, and chose to go onto the offensive. He was funny - but it was über snarky Jerry. The interviews I enjoy the most are those who allow Short some room to maneuver on his own and then let him lead (Dreyfus, Mullally, Lovitz, Levy, O'Hara, etc.). Seinfeld is nobody's second fiddle. Ever.

      Seinfeld just did what he said in the Seinfeld episode when he had a personal revelation, "make fairly obvious" observations.
      None of his attempted insults were clever, just seemed like he wanted to be noticed by speaking.
      His interview with Julia Louis-Dreyfus was much better as she plays along.
