I've had an OM617 in my '81 CJ5 for about 3 years... 37" Crawlers, Dana 44's with Chromoly axles, 5" lift, remote fuel and oil filters, 6 gauge cluster, LED headlights and bar, 8k Warn with synthetic, extended rollbar... Next is a roof rack I'll fab. Soft-top.
Great video. Just a word of caution - you seem to be working alone in your garage. It is always best to have a buddy there where you are working underneath the vehicle.
No need with the HE200 and stock pump, EGTS are never over 1000*F. But on my 300hp OM606 swap, I will be switching over to a water to air when I do my next turbo setup.

Will Van Unfortunately nobody that I know of makes a kit, but (almost) all the bolts on the engine are M6 or M8, so You can order some bolts off amazon or eBay, or just go to a local hardware store or fastenal with a list of lengths like I did. There’ll be more about this in the next video...

How much was the dieselmeken pump and was it done by dieselmeken or benzforce? Also what was the turn around time? I'm doing a series on putting a om603 into an 09 jku. Wanting to know what edit software do you use? I've been making youtube vids for over ten years and have around 1300 subs but it's time to start making better vids. Thanks. Love your Jeep

you ever try a water to air intercooler? like off a vw they work pretty good and you can mount them wherever

if installation is tight, why not use an air to water after cooler?
I just like having this little filter up on the engine, I like keeping as much as possible off my frame rails lol

The OM617 is completely mechanical, just using the jeep harness for starter and gauges

What oil pan is on the new motor?
Bleu Duck It’s a Kit by Mercedes Diesel 4x4 and it’s not great. Known for leaks. Go with the Doomsday Diesel lower pan.
