I am so very sorry for your loss. My heart hurts for the pain that is so deep. Thank you for sharing, much appreciation and respect. Wonderful to be an observer on your mind provoking conversation!
Thank you for your comment 🙏So happy it provoked some questions in you. I’m curious to know if there was something in peculiar that resonated with you!
I found when I was attending the meetings a few things while reading the New World Translation. 1) those who have the true anointing can hear the anointing speaking to them and guiding them, 2) those who are really called to be of the little flock would sell their belongings and actually give to the poor, 3) the true religion is not an organization, but the looking after widows and orphans in their tribulation, 4) those who don't do these things are likely the many who come on the basis of [Jesus'] name saying 'I am anointed' and will mislead many, 5) the true anointing from God that speaks truth and guides into all truth is available to everyone who would like (Revelation 3:7). Those who have the spirit anointing offer that anointing to everyone so that anyone asking, anyone seeking, and to anyone knocking it will be opend
So glad I watched this, especially towards the end learning that Andreas has grown into such an amazing role in his life and the lives of others - I too was reminded of things I needed to hear about keeping part of you as an observer when situations/people emotionally drawing you in. I’m just emerging from my evangelical Christian world turning to vapour, seeing in yourselves that it can mean freedom and joy is encouraging ❤️
Right about the same time that I left, an elder that I knew left too. He thought about going into born again Christianity as he viewed it as appealing more to feelings. In the end, he didn’t. I know many do, though. I believe we as witnesses are used to “knowing the truth” and standing in the unknown scares us. We humans need a feeling of safety to thrive. This former elder is now living a very authentic life and loves and respects himself without the need for any organisation to support (and confine) him. I hope you can do that too! (And please reach out if you’d like to chat about these topics!)
In my small congregation we had six that professed to be of the anointed. My mother was and 2 Elders and their wives later on one of the couples 12 year old daughter joined.None of them are witnesses due to mental health problems.
That sounds almost like when one couple starts having children 😅😅 Mental health issues definitely play a part, as I alluded to with my parents. Especially traumas in the womb (not feeling like you’re wanted for example) can cause people to either live in the heads or dissociate to the spiritual world. There is research that connects anxious attachment with being drawn to new age and avoidant attachment to being in dogmatic religion. However, I would like to also state that early trauma is only one part, and that feeling drawn to a special relationship with god was a life affirming feeling for my parents.
My aunt claims to be and our family just laughed at her. It's sad Healing the judgement of myself and others we were conditioned in has been the best part of my journey. Thank you for this message. You are helping so many with this important support ❤️
Sorry for your loss, and recovering from the religious trauma, not to mention the heartbreak of a divorce. May you continue to grow and thrive with the time we all have on earth!
Thank you! 🙏 The self abandoning wounds are probably worse than many of the wounds caused by events, such as the divorce. Wishing you the best on your own journey 💖
I cried like a baby and I’m listening to this at work. I loss my 4 month old baby girl to Sepsis after she got pneumonia. I understand your pain and I’m so sorry for your loss.
So sorry for your loss too ❤️ There is no loss quite like the loss of a child 😢 And we heal together 🤗 PS. Elisabeth also had viral pneumonia that caused the sepsis.
54:04 this description really hit home for me, I can see how I have been approaching therapy to "better" myself to succeed at it, and this is causing me to feel as if I fail a lot, but the thought to instead hold the traumatized inner child really feels like it would be freeing and healing. I want to try to approach things without the judgmental self condemning thoughts anymore, and instead hold space for myself to just be whomever I am at any moment. Also the gummy mushrooms idea is hilarious!
Making space for emotions and holding the child with in, is an essential part of healing. We were not given the space to feel our emotions, and were barely given the space to be kids if you were raised in the organization! And handing out mushrooms at the hall has been something I’ve thought of for years🤣😂
I am an exJW I worked for 40 years as a NICU and Pediatric Nurse I was touched, by your story So often we never know why children are born with special needs I hope your wife was able to have children in her next relationship I hope someday you are able to have a normal child I too had a special needs child Both in the JW community and out people just back away from those families It is a very lonely road to travel

Because it seems like there are so few that are actually recruited in the last 30 years compared to those born in. And the perspectives tend to be very different.
Vevian amazing and heartbreaking testimony, not only for the loss of Andreas daughter, but the losing oneself in the JW community 😢 I’d like to learn more about Andreas and Joachim’s work…can you point me in the right direction. one of the jw doctrine’s contradictions is the paradise earth with all the problems that it infers… and the fact that the new testament is definitively heaven oriented! but then they want the jw to live a spiritual life, not caring so much about their earthly « animal » bodies, taking for a guideline the lifestyle of Jesus or Paul who were only temporary residents on earth!
@Truth seeker dear, it seems you didn t catch my point, i wasn t speaking about animals, pets or cattle…This is a channel for pomos or pimos who already have serious doubts about the whole creation myth and perfect Adam and Eve six thousands years ago. I personally left the jws fourty years ago, after being raised up by loving balanced jw parents, i had been studiying the bible from jws POV, pioneering, and helping my brothers as a kind elder. I left because I could no longer believe and teach the myths in the fundamentalistic manner of jws doctrine. Some of the bible and jesus s principles are helpful for us now, some others totally out of date. My point was: in jws doctrine, God after creating the angels, decided to create an ecosystem on earth, with plants and animals, both living, procreating and dying, and on the top He created a man ( first, of course) and a woman, with the same animals features ( sexual reproduction, a very complicated biological process, feeding and raising the offspring) but for everlasting life. The whole thing messed up, because of Satan, the two mates were expelled, had to wear animal clothing, to work hard, women would be suffering to give birth, lions began to eat preys, Abel had cattle to protect from wolves and eventually slaughtered one to burn it for God, you know the whole story. Then God sent His perfect son to redeem the first man s sin. What did this co-creator teach? a restored paradise on earth, with lions and tigers as pets, plenty of tropical food and beautiful houses for every one? No. He speaks about ruling with him in the houses of his father in heaven. Says there will be no marriage nor male/female after resurrection. The whole christian story from the beginning is a temporary life on earth where marriage and having kids is less important, preparing for heaven is the main purpose. So, what was Gods purpose by creating this animal-like humans? just to fill up the Earth with this complicated animal-like reproduction way, then stop it, and having a kind of physical angels on earth?? because this is what jws teach about the perfection after the 1000 years of restoration. A kind of beardless brothers, unisex rather male but probably with less testosterone and mini sized genitals:) And now, before Armageddon, living already as spiritual oriented slave workers for the WT, not caring too much about our bodies and mentally health, all devoted to the preaching printing or nowadays video making work…If you like this way of life, I m happy for you and wish you the very best, but please, respect our decision to DA from Jws and stop believing in the fundamentalist jw doctrine. With love.
@Truth seeker Going to college is a good decision, I don’t know in what country, it seems to me you are not a native English speaker, neither am I. For what it means to be a JW, you should enquire with those who were born in, indoctrinated and eventually left. They may tell you what JWs teach about higher education, what nonsense they oblige you to believe, and how they shun you when you come out with your doubts about their current doctrine. You can live a happy, peaceful life, making good choices, avoiding lethal addictions, being honest and caring about others without being dedicated to a high control cult. My argument was about everlasting life on earth, about this doctrine of JWs. They say this was God s purpose. I was doubting about it. By the way, I m doubting about the biblical God also, but I placed myself into their perspective. I asked WHY would the Creator of the angels ( spirits) create a mortal ecosystem ( animals, plants) and then create on the same pattern humans to whom he grants everlasting life surrounded by mortal creatures? If his purpose was just to fill the earth with a sustainable number of humans who would live on earth for eternity, WHY would he make them animal like, with bodies, reproductive functions, gender differentiated, and 7000 years later stop the whole thing (this is jw doctrine) and having them live as non gendered people on earth? I don t catch God s argument:)) He could have placed 50 billions of perfect creatures on earth, rather than having them playing the animal way of giving birth, with all the risks of sin inheritance if any of them disobeyed because a speaking snake crossed their way, or letting them tempted by too sexy women, as were the bored angels in heaven (I repeat only the biblical jw nonsense, assuming you know the details of their doctrine). Definitively, I was not speaking about good life principles, but about the contradictions in the Bible teachings, especially if you have a litteral interpretation of ancient texts. I m an older man, now, happy with my worldly wife and children and grand children, not longing for the kind of eternal life JWs are proposing. Would be happier if some of my family jws wouldn t shun me, but it s not my fault. If YOU need God and the Bible to have a good life, you d better look for a religion which allows you critical thinking, scientific knowledge, choosing your mate(s), choosing your health treatment, choosing your friends and your education. Just a loving counsel.
@Truth seeker I wasn't born in it but when my mother was indoctrinated into it I was about the age of five, all I remember at that age it my mom throwing away all my soldiers and toy guns, I am now going to be 30 this year and just about a year ago I decided to completely reject it (not that I could ever be considered a jw cause I was always kinda mean to them, I just hated how controlling they tried to be to all their members) when I got this wild hair and just decided to read my bible on my own and what I found was a story completely different then how the watchtower portrays it. Jw's believe that only the 144k go to heaven with Jesus but if you actually read the new testament it is actually saying that all are invited to heaven. Only those that full heartedly choose to follow Christ will go to heaven according to Gods will. After understanding this I came to realize that the path to follow Christ or the narrow path is an individual one and not a church or group based.
It was a book in Swedish called The Hippo In the Living Room. There are excellent books on religious trauma. But books I really recommend is The Body Keeps the Score, It Didn’t Start With You and Healing Developmental Trauma by Laurence Heller.

Haha, I must be a natural - at weird hand gesturing and witchcraft. Of course, I never point at people and accuse them of being false Christians anymore.
I think all religious people suffer some type of dillusion in one way or another !Man created the whole platform, all the stories ! It was obvious to me even as a child, never had faith ! Thought anyone who believed in something that wasn't there or never reviewed himself was wacko !
I believe you are right to a certain degree. To blindly believe in a dogma requires us to repress doubts. But then again, I’ve found that living by the scientific method, only believing what you can see also requires you to suppress a lot of telepathic experiences for instance, where you think of a person and they call... I myself decided (maybe I even say so in the video?) that I didn’t want to live without a supernatural force in the world, simply because that to me would be a lonely world.
Sad, we are all suppose to be Born Again (anointed) but this crazy religion wants to limit it to 144,000 people. They dont even know what there talking about. Hopefully now that you both are free of this cult, you can grow in Christ the way we all do-through the Holy Spirit. Peace
If you read the KJV or NKJV to a Jehovah witness they will dismiss it as a demonic version. We can show Jehovah witnesses that Jesus is Jehovah from their own translation. “I am the *Alʹpha and the O·meʹga,”* says Jehovah God, “the One who is and who was and who is coming, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8) NWT Ask them who is the Alpha and the Omega? They’ll say it’s Jehovah God. Then ask them to read Revelation 21:6-7. And he said to me: “They have come to pass! I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga, the *beginning and the end.* To anyone thirsting I will give from the spring of the water of life free. 7 Anyone conquering will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son. (Revelation 21:6-7) NWT Then ask who is the beginning and the end? They’ll say it’s Jehovah God. Then ask them to read Revelation 22:12-13. “‘Look! I am coming quickly, and the reward I give is with me, to repay each one according to his work. 13 I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga, *the first and the last,* the beginning and the end. (Revelation 22:12-13) NWT Ask them who is the first and the last? Of course, they’ll say it’s Jehovah God. Now you’ll notice in verse 16 that the verses opens up with “I Jesus.” *“‘I, Jesus,* sent my angel to bear witness to you about these things for the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David and the bright morning star.’” (Revelation 22:16) NWT But what the Jehovah witness may say, is that the speaker has changed. It obviously hasn’t but that’s fine, just ask them who the first and the last is. Then finally turn the witness back to Revelation 1:17-18 and have them read this: When I saw him, I fell as dead at his feet. And he laid his right hand on me and said: *Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last, 18 and the living one, AND I BECAME DEAD, but look! I am living forever* and ever, and I have the keys of death and of the Grave. (Revelation 1:17-18) NWT Then after the witness reads this verse ask them this question, when did Jehovah God die? The witness has already told you that Jehovah God is the First and the Last. So, the speaker does not change. Their own bible tells them that Jehovah died. According to Jehovah witnesses own theology, Jehovah God has never died. Their own bible proclaims that Jesus is Jehovah! Apologist and evangelist, Ray Comfort, gives a great strategy. In his illustration he says to ask a Jehovah witness this: “Imagine there is a knife in my back and I only have three minutes to live before I bleed out. What must I do to enter Jehovah’s kingdom?” The Jehovah witness wanted to talk about the Watchtower magazine but they’ll probably entertain the question by saying something like, there are many things. They may even tell you they don’t really know except come to the kingdom hall, read more books and do lot’s of works. Then gently ask them this: “Well, what did the thief on the cross have to do to enter Paradise with Christ?” He had to do nothing! It proves a point to get them to think. You see, Jehovah witnesses don’t have a way to enter Jehovah’s kingdom except lots and lots of works. I use to shrug them off but they are use to a lot of hate. They dedicate their life to evangelising. Of course they are tremendously in error in their theology and sending people to hell but everything is on the line for them if they confess Jesus is God. They are excommunitcated and shunned by friends and family. They are so brainwashed and it's hard to break them out of it but hopefully this helps. If they knock on your door God has given them an opportunity to hear the truth and is using you as an instrument. We as "a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition" (2 Timothy 2:23-26).
So in Revelation1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him. Would you clarify this for me please, was Jesus giving it to himself? I so why even say God was giving it to him?
I heard that King James gave the bible to Francis Bacon to edit, as it is decorated with Bacon's rosicrucian symbols. John Dee who was an astrologer, and visionary of Queen Elizabeth's court. He was contacted, who he thought was angels, but when they started to tell him to do bad things, he says in his diary that they were demons. John Dee was Francis Bacon's mentor. They were both rosicrucians, and other things. It is said that the demons gave them enochian magic, which uses letters, Other experts say Francis Bacon wrote Shakespeare, and both Shakespeare, and KJV is imbued with enochian magic. You have to do your own research. But that is a quick summary why the KJV has a reputation of being demonic.
What I have always failed to grasp is why God made his own truth sooo well hidden, that only the ones who have a degree in history is able to understand which translation to use. And once you have found it, you need another degree to uncover what verses to pick into this great jigsaw puzzle 🤯 Also, what about the changes the JWs have made to their translation? And I’m not talking about reinstating Jehovah’s name 😂
@@andreaself9089 There isn't any special knowledge or interpretation. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:20-21) NKJV I'm a nobody girl born in Dublin, moved to the UK as a baby. I wasn't brought up in a house that practised faith. All but one was an agnostic and the rest atheists. 99 percent of my friends were atheists and the remaining were muslims. So I wasn't indoctrinated nor influenced to believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac or Jacob. It is with any language translation or transliteration, you will never get 100% word for word accuracy. Everyone pretends the KJV is so perfect and it is absolutely not. I study the original languages. For example, in the KJV and the NKJV in (1 Corinthians 14:29-30) it will say in verse 30, “If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace,” but its the Greek phrase “sigaó” and should be properly interpreted as "keep silent! It doesn't make it "demonic" as some would like you to believe it simply means it is a transliteration. The only thing that is demonic is if a translation corrupts the very Gospel of Christ and the nature of God. If I can study the Bible then anyone can.
@@paulinesterry7810 Hey Pauline, I don't want to make an assumption but was curious, are you a Jehovah witness? I only ask because according to Jehovah witness doctrine, there is a denial of the relational aspect of the triune God, thus Revelation 1:1 would never quite make sense, no matter how much I break it down. So lets answer the question, why does it say, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which *God gave Him to show His servant’s?"* First we need to determine whether “God gave him” is to mean “God gave John,” or is it “God gave him - the angel” as opposed to the rendering of the vast majority of interpreters, who understand it to mean “God gave Him - Jesus”? The word “Him” is only the sixth word (in Greek), and it appears before either “the angel” or “John” have even been mentioned. The most natural antecedent would be “Jesus Christ,” the only person that has been identified by the time a ‘him' is referenced. The Father gave Jesus the Son revelation. The opening verse of Revelation 1:1 makes it clear that this book is the disclosure of Jesus Christ in the sense that it belongs to Him. God the Father had given Jesus a disclosure of things and now Jesus is the one doing the revealing. There is a relational aspect within the Trinity that many find difficult to comprehend but the very nature of God is triune; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Distinct in persons but one in essence. As Christians, we do not believe that Jesus is God the Father. Jesus is distinct person from God the Father and distinct person from the Holy Spirit. One God by nature, three persons in identity throughout the Scriptures. So, God the Father can reveal something to God the Son. Jesus claimed equality with God (John 5:23), (John 8:58), (John 10:30), (John 14:9). In John 10:30 Jesus said, I and My Father are one” but one in nature, essence or substance. Jesus by nature is God but He is a distinct person. This is a compound unity. Christ comes to earth, He lays aside His glory and becomes a human (philippians 2:6-8). He is still Deity but He’s also human. So, He has now a human relationship with the Father while on earth and so, in that humanity He can pray to the Father, He can interact to the Father as God but the Scripture is also very clear that He’s still God because “the Word was God” and it was the “Word that became flesh and dwelt among us.” The Trinity teaches us that before the foundation of the world, God was having fellowship within His own being. In some sense we can never understand that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit have forever communicated and loved each other. We are not free to create God in our own image. The Trinity sets the limits for human speculation but the Trinity is a fundamental truth of Christianity. It is supported in the Old Testament and the New Testament. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, *and the Word was God.* 2 He was in the beginning with God. (John 1:1-2) NKJV The structure in Greek is very careful and we’re getting deep theology in this verse. So, the Word “is” God but the Word is also “with” God. For there are *three* that bear witness in heaven: *the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit;* and these three are one. (1 John 5:7) NKJV And we know that the Word is the Son, Jesus Christ: *And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,* and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’” (John 1:14-15) NKJV The New Testament reaffirms 1 John 5:7 “the Father, the Word, and Holy Spirit” and how the essence of our God exists in three persons in His “Godhead.” For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. (Colossians 2:9-10) NKJV And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that *we may know Him who is true;* and *we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.* (1 John 5:20) NKJV *For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,* 23 that *all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. *He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.* (John 5:22-23) NKJV We honour the Father as God. So, we should honour the Son the same way! We are made in God’s image, and of course we can’t completely comprehend what being made in God’s image means but there are implications such as having free will, being free thinkers and having the ability to procreate. Another implication is in the way we are designed; three in essence but each work as one. I am spirit, soul and flesh yet there is only one me. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole *spirit, soul, and body* be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23) NKJV Jesus says in John 8 that He is the “I AM.” Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, *I AM.”* (John 8:58) NKJV Jesus declared Himself to be equal with God because He used the same name that God used for Himself. God proclaimed His name as “I AM” when He first communicated with Moses: And God said to Moses, *“I AM WHO I AM.”* And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” (Exodus 3:14) NKJV And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that *we may know Him who is true;* and *we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.* (1 John 5:20) NKJV Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of *our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,* (Titus 2:13) NKJV

So sorry for your loss- it’s never easy! Time is the best healing process
Warm hugs, sis!❤️
So sorry for your loss♥️
So sorry for your loss too ❤️ There is no loss quite like the loss of a child 😢 And we heal together 🤗
PS. Elisabeth also had viral pneumonia that caused the sepsis.
Sorry for your loss. Was your child jabbed?
I am relating to this so much.
Excellent life experience but so sad.
Thank you for sharing your story 🙏
Thank you for listening 🙏

Hi can i do zoom with u as I’m interested in Jehovah’s witness and talk and also get prayer
I had a vivid dream that the anointed got letters from the GB telling them they’ve been chosen but to keep the letter anonymous as it was a message straight from Jehovah 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ it was the weirdest thing
one of the jw doctrine’s contradictions is the paradise earth with all the problems that it infers… and the fact that the new testament is definitively heaven oriented! but then they want the jw to live a spiritual life, not caring so much about their earthly « animal » bodies, taking for a guideline the lifestyle of Jesus or Paul who were only temporary residents on earth!

“I am the *Alʹpha and the O·meʹga,”* says Jehovah God, “the One who is and who was and who is coming, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8) NWT
Ask them who is the Alpha and the Omega? They’ll say it’s Jehovah God. Then ask them to read Revelation 21:6-7.
And he said to me: “They have come to pass! I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga, the *beginning and the end.* To anyone thirsting I will give from the spring of the water of life free. 7 Anyone conquering will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son. (Revelation 21:6-7) NWT
Then ask who is the beginning and the end? They’ll say it’s Jehovah God. Then ask them to read Revelation 22:12-13.
“‘Look! I am coming quickly, and the reward I give is with me, to repay each one according to his work. 13 I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga, *the first and the last,* the beginning and the end. (Revelation 22:12-13) NWT
Ask them who is the first and the last? Of course, they’ll say it’s Jehovah God. Now you’ll notice in verse 16 that the verses opens up with “I Jesus.”
*“‘I, Jesus,* sent my angel to bear witness to you about these things for the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David and the bright morning star.’” (Revelation 22:16) NWT
But what the Jehovah witness may say, is that the speaker has changed. It obviously hasn’t but that’s fine, just ask them who the first and the last is. Then finally turn the witness back to Revelation 1:17-18 and have them read this:
When I saw him, I fell as dead at his feet. And he laid his right hand on me and said: *Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last, 18 and the living one, AND I BECAME DEAD, but look! I am living forever* and ever, and I have the keys of death and of the Grave. (Revelation 1:17-18) NWT
Then after the witness reads this verse ask them this question, when did Jehovah God die? The witness has already told you that Jehovah God is the First and the Last. So, the speaker does not change. Their own bible tells them that Jehovah died. According to Jehovah witnesses own theology, Jehovah God has never died. Their own bible proclaims that Jesus is Jehovah!
Apologist and evangelist, Ray Comfort, gives a great strategy. In his illustration he says to ask a Jehovah witness this:
“Imagine there is a knife in my back and I only have three minutes to live before I bleed out. What must I do to enter Jehovah’s kingdom?”
The Jehovah witness wanted to talk about the Watchtower magazine but they’ll probably entertain the question by saying something like, there are many things. They may even tell you they don’t really know except come to the kingdom hall, read more books and do lot’s of works. Then gently ask them this:
“Well, what did the thief on the cross have to do to enter Paradise with Christ?”
He had to do nothing!
(2 Peter 1:20-21) NKJV
I'm a nobody girl born in Dublin, moved to the UK as a baby.
(John 1:1-2) NKJV
The structure in Greek is very careful and we’re getting deep theology in this verse. So, the Word “is” God but the Word is also “with” God.
For there are *three* that bear witness in heaven: *the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit;* and these three are one. (1 John 5:7) NKJV
And we know that the Word is the Son, Jesus Christ:
*And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,* and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’” (John 1:14-15) NKJV
The New Testament reaffirms 1 John 5:7 “the Father, the Word, and Holy Spirit” and how the essence of our God exists in three persons in His “Godhead.”
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. (Colossians 2:9-10) NKJV
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that *we may know Him who is true;* and *we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.* (1 John 5:20) NKJV
*For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,* 23 that *all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. *He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.* (John 5:22-23) NKJV
We honour the Father as God.
(1 Thessalonians 5:23) NKJV
Jesus says in John 8 that He is the “I AM.”
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, *I AM.”* (John 8:58) NKJV
Jesus declared Himself to be equal with God because He used the same name that God used for Himself. God proclaimed His name as “I AM” when He first communicated with Moses:
And God said to Moses, *“I AM WHO I AM.”* And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” (Exodus 3:14) NKJV
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that *we may know Him who is true;* and *we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.* (1 John 5:20) NKJV
Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of *our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,* (Titus 2:13) NKJV
