    No wonder the hashrate of ETH network kept rising despite the hashrate migration test. It is because of this rig. Haha just kidding. Nice content as always. And also I highly recommend using a wattmeter plug to measure the real power draw from the wall instead of just estimating in the future videos.

      I left my wattmeter in another farm. In my previous video, I did use a wattmeter to obtain the wattage reading from the wall.

    you should use the nvme slot and pci slot as well. 7 gpu for it with 1500w power supply, -502, +1300 and 70%pl on windows. it should be around 118w each gpu. each gpu will have 49.5 to 49.8. biostar mb is a bit sensitive to work with. Biostar has a new mb for the 10th gen and 11th gen cpu now but mb is very expensive

      hey mate you shouldnt use afterburner/power limit at all, use the built in OC from your miner to lock the core clock.
      With that *some* 3060 can have vastly better efficiency, i have one zotac that does 49,5mh@96w, but even within one manufacturer there are big differences.

    • @JeenHao
      @JeenHao  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on a lot of things, like the wire gauge of your splitter and the GPU you're using, how much power they're drawing while mining.

  • @iamkamsai

    • @iamkamsai
      @iamkamsai 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JeenHao firstly i'm a new follower of yours, it was only something to point out don't take it so personal young fella! Quote me if i'm wrong a 1000w psu using the 80% rule for power you would have 800w to play with safely! with 4 risers taking 75w each that would leave you with 500w for the GPU's not including the mobo or anything else. So that leaves with you 125w per gpu, however you have a PL of 135w per gpu (not including any other components). Would you have been better running dual 800w psu's? purely for safety. If i'm wrong then explain it to me, this is how we learn, and why i subscribed.

    • @JeenHao
      @JeenHao  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@iamkamsai Hi, thanks for the follow! From my understanding, the GPU power shown is the power draw from the 8pin(s) and riser combined. So if the GPU power draw is 135w, these 135w will be pulled from the riser and the 8pin, and the riser has the potential to draw up to 75w. So I usually use splitter instead of powering the riser with SATA as it's only good for 54w max. So far I've been running rigs with such setup and have no issues. How about yours?
      Dual 850W is definitely fine as you've more than enough power, too much I'd say 😆

      @iamkamsai 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JeenHao Might be a good topic for a future video as i think a large number of people starting out struggle with this. Sebs Fintech Channel address this exact topic (How to SAFELY Power your Mining Rig (GPUs, Risers, etc). I have two 8 x 3060ti lhr rigs both 2000w psu each rig and a 8 x 3070ti Founders Ed rig has two 1600w psu's. When ETH goes POS some of these other algo's like Kawpow (RVN) are power hungry so thats when the extra Watts it will come in handy. Thanks for your view.!

      Red fox crypto has 6x 3060 using 1000 watt evga power supply in his 3060 rig build video. Seb is using 1200 watt psu for 4x 3060. Chump change is using 1200 watts psu for 6x 3060. Red panda is using 1600 watt mining 6x 3060 evga. I'm using 3x 3060 1000 watts evga mining ergo and everything is going smoothly so far. Should include power wall meter tests too in your videos!!

    You're consuming way too much power, and stressing the vram for almost no gain. I'm running mine with P0 at 1460 core and 2000 vram (so, without P0 you'd be around 2400), and I get 48.2mh/s at under 100w (that's close to 500mh/w efficiency) with T-Rex miner. Don't forget, electricity costs a lot these days!

    • @JeenHao
      @JeenHao  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Each and every GPU is different mate. I have other copies of 3060 and they could achieve similar result like yours, but unfortunately not these copies. And also, our power cost is considered low, so my friend doesn't mind using a little more power. One thing might be unsustainable is the high memory I'd agree.

    • @v3rni3sgaming14
      @v3rni3sgaming14 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JeenHao I agree on your points, but keep in mind watt-power consumption doesn't only translate in high cost, it also translates to very high heat. You're about 20% down on efficiency in comparison.
      Yes, I understand that different models and different SNs behave differently on their limit. However, I'm running 4 different 3060s (from Zotac and Gigabyte) and found them all to behave the same. With T-Rex miner, there is no much to gain above 2000mhz on the memory, it only gains about 0.5mh/s for 600mhz. (Keep in mind I've enabled the P0 setting, which adds 400mhz to the memory clock). So this is a setting for the longevity of the card.
      On core memory you gain or lose about 2mh/s but for about 15% efficiency. This efficiency, as I wrote above, is not only crucial for electricity consumption (which, as a miner should matter, especially now with low yields), but also for your room temperature and for the temperatures of the core of your cards.
      I'd recommend you give it a try and see what happens, you got nothing to lose. P0, 1460 (for some it was 1425, but I have a large dropoff under 1460), 2000. (if you don't enable P0, then 2400).

    • @JeenHao
      @JeenHao  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, you are right. That's why people are turning off rigs and that's also why mining profits sometime go up as well. It much depends on your efficiency and power cost after all, and how "low" is "low". As long as it's still making profit after power cost, to some people it will still be okay to keep mining.
