I can change from km to miles on my RE 650 GT as below: Hold the reset button down (with ignition off) and keep it held down. Turn ignition key clockwise to on position. Watch the display, after around 15 seconds or so the trip will change from km to miles. Release the reset button. Job done. Same procedure to change from miles to km. No need to replace the Speedo.
Great to see you have the GT650 back on the road, I love mine and totally see why you have missed your.. Just for your info, I had a letter from DVSE recall for my Continental, re inspection and clean of brake calipers that can be susceptible to reduced effectiveness if rider in winter.
Thank you Chris, they are such fun machines aren’t they, puts a smile on my face every time. Thanks for the info, I have received the letter too, will be taking it to my RE dealer soon. Ride safe 🏍🙏
What did your insurer pay you for all the repairs needed or did they pay out as a total loss and you bought the bike back from them for a nominal amount and used the money they gave you to get it repaired? How come you couldn't have used just the dial from you old speedo or was this not possible? You might be able to get an aftermarket dial face with mph and kmh on it and fit it? Just a thought. It looks good again and good to go. Happy riding.

Hi which bar-end mirrors do you have? Thanks
Hi, The mirrors are from Tec bike parts. Highly recommend company for after market parts for Royal Enfield!
@@theoceanpilot thanks. Yeah I’m aware of them. Will be ordering their Cannon silencers. Mirrors are sold out though
Was the bike stolen before or after you went to Switzerland?
It was before but managed to fully restore the bike prior to the Alps trip. The bike performed superbly and didn’t miss a beat, such a solid engine 🙏🏍
I would keep the imperfections as now the bike has such a story to tell but I maybe a bit weird 🤣
@@barrywilliams3783 Not weird, I feel the same.. I have kept some of the scratches 😊
How much did it cost to fix everything? Btw happy that she is back finally 😊
Wow, Sheep did not like your helmet, ha-ha 😀
Well done, put mph sticker on the lens of the speedo,no biggy enjoy. M
Thank you 😊
So glad you got the bike back, the only little imperfections are the little twats that nicked it
Thank you man, glad to have the bike back and it has been performing flawlessly since the restoration.
