I eat only one or two meals a day. It doesn’t help me lose weight, but it definitely helps me maintain my weight because I know I’d overeat if I ate more meals a day. It also convenient because I don’t have count calories.

Myth #3 isn't actually a myth. Just like myth #3 wouldn't actually be a myth if that claim was about carbohydrates. FACT: Fat is easy to overconsume (just like carbohydrates), have twice as many calories per gram as carbs & proteins, and are prominent in the most calorie dense foods. Fat and carb dense foods are palatable & calorie dense, and aren't filling. This a THE recipe for overconsumption.
Try eating as much butter as you want. You won't eat too much. You can only eat it if you're really hungry. Pretzels on the other hand, I can eat all day while watching football.
@JA-gx4hb .... Your claim about butter is 100% FALSE. I can eat a Clapton of butter, especially with other foods. As a matter of FACT, another fatty food that's easy to overconsume: CHEESE. Scotty LOVE him some cheese.... I could eat a pound of smoked guoda in a single sitting without batting an eye. But seriously, do yourself a favor and make less ridiculous & easily disprovable claims.
No it isn't. Eating less meals allows you to keep your insulin levels very low throughout the day. This means that you are less likely to be hungry and overeat. He is wrong in a couple of points (the less important ones). This is not one of them.
I’m doing an interesting experiment The last 7 days I have averaged 2698 calories per day I’m 5,11 and around 203 pounds I weigh myself tomorrow find out iff I’m close to my maitenance level of calories. Factoring in exercise like resistance training , HIIT sprinting and my work as a roofer who knows I may need even more calories to maintain.
if you’re taking your calories in and the amount of weight lost to calculate your TDEE then as long as those exercises are representative of your average activity level and you didn’t just do a bunch more for the test, then the calculation will factor them in and be accurate. That being said, if you eat only whole, natural food, majority meat, you likely won’t need to count cals, your satiety levels will get you to your ideal weight/composition (unless you’re trying to go outside human norms, like body building) and with most meat, you can’t accurately track it anyway due to major differences in the ratio of calories from fat present in every different cut and even animal.
The false assumption of myth #1 is that limiting the eating window necessarily reduces calories is nothing more than an assumption. People who eat one or two big meals a day are just as likely to over consume in large part because they are more likely HUNGRIER. ALSO, less meals means less opportunities to increase protein intake & absorption, which means a higher likelihood of muscular catabolism & lower likelihood of muscle anibolism.
You can easily absorb your entire daily protein intake in 2 meals. Also if you are so worried about muscle catabolism just take steroids and that will solve that problem. He is giving advice to lose weight and it is much easier to lose weight if you eat 1-2 meals per day than 5-6 meals per day.
For me, six small meals of low fat, high protein foods that included metabolism boosters like peppers with lots of unscripted exercise like taking the stairs at work (8 floors) instead of the elevator did the trick very quickly.
