Shoyan, you are the absolute best husband. I've lived in a house with a cedar closet that was decades old. It still carried that wonderful cedar smell. Your pantry is going to be a delightful storage space.
I am so fascinated about the incredible Work of Shoyan-San renovating his own house. Can't stop watching one Video after the other to see the Masterpiece growing under his golden Hands! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That flooring is too pretty to walk on! Always envy the wood that you have access to, we have rapid growth knotty wood that you might use for crates available here 😢
I build a lot with wood that I have cut the tree down, milled the wood, and dried in my own kiln. I also have issues with some woods splitting easily. Do you have many issues with wood splitting or cracking while installing? If the board cracks or begins to split what do you do to fix it or do you replace the whole board?
Great to see part 2 and the completion of your pantry. Watching you work is mesmerizing, Shoyan. I completely relax and savour every bit of your workmanship. I hope you and your family are well. Change of topic: Autumn is the time for playoff baseball here in North America. Shohei Ohtani's, Los Angeles Dodgers are in the playoffs. Ohtani's play this season was record setting in so many ways. His ability to consistently perform and establish new records, seeming effortlessly, astonishes all athletes regardless of sport. Will you or any of your family be watching Ohtani in the playoffs? All the best from beautiful Vancouver, Canada!
Great video! What a wonderful display of proud Japanese craftsmanship! Thank you, Shoyan, for welcoming us into your home and showing us your improvements and wonderful work!
Haha, your wife is going to get revenge some day. PS I have to tell you that I think what you are calling a "tension rod" should be called a "compression rod". The wood is being compressed. But, as always, a great video from a consumate and talented professional carpenter/artisan. Kudos!
"If she still complains, karma will get her" That made me laugh! Great video, thank you!
Best line of the week!
too funny. Looking great!
I was going to comment on this as well buuut soo many have already XD
And my weekend’s off to a great start :)
Tickled me too...😂😂😂
"If she complains, karma will get her." LOL great line, Shoyan.
I hope this video ends with your wife looking very happy with her new pantry 😁
Plot twist, there is no wife!
This guy makes access panels for electricians?!

Your wife is a lucky woman ... a new kitchen and pantry you know how to spoiler her ...
This room must smell so amazing with all that Cedar! Beautiful work my friend.
"If she still complains, Karma will get her." 😂😂😂😂😂
Nice job. She will complain later and of course blame You. I've been there a few times. My wife is Japanese too.
Everyone collectively jumped when that board fell... Then we all had a laugh...
And this craftsmanship done in spotless regular clothes, no shoes and always wearing an impecable bomber jacket!! 🤙🤙🤙
"Karma will get her", HA Ha! I'll have to try that line on my wife. Thanks for the video.
Happy wife, happy life right my brother!!

Great work as always Shoyan. And if it really doesn't fit your wife for some reason, then offer her IKEA solutions! 😅

i have learned so much from this series - Shoyan is a master, and he makes everything look so easy! Thank you!
Beautiful work and with cedar it must smell wonderful.
I wonder, is lumber perhaps cheaper in Japan than elsewhere, because of the prevalent use of it for all manner of construction?

beautiful job. I wish I could afford cedar.

This time it's personal 😂
would love to see it filled up!
Absolute master at work. 👏🏼
Cedar is useful for cabinets. Cedar has natural pest deterrent properties that may help keep bugs away from your food.
Thank you for sharing this project, Sensei. Your skill makes that task look easy.
Beautiful
As usual well done. Looks great. God bless.

13:19 That's the first time I've seen the katakana spelling for stainless (ステソレス). Thanks for increasing my vocabulary.
