She was and is still held in estime by the Danes .Her culture and education cannot be compared to Marie who had a more modest upbringing. It is not fair to make comparisons. Although she is today a countess being the mother of the first 2 prince's .She still performs certain public duties that are asked of her. although they were very much in love when they married. Alexandra was far more intellectual than Joachim. He is more suited to his present wife.

He wasn't - or at least it wasn't him who cheated. Alexandra did - that was revealed some time after the divorce.
