      Me too I love it. The song reminds me of "Lay Up Under Me" from "4". I just wanted her to maybe add some high harmonies at the very least. I still love this song so much.

    I think too many expectations are placed on this one human being. Let’s just appreciate her, while she’s still here and stop criticizing her for every little detail. She’s the best at what she does... so what if she’s not hitting an F5! Leave all of the unnecessary notes to the screamers!

  • @nielsenmakaba5777
    @nielsenmakaba5777 5 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    Eeeeeeeh this song is a funk cookout SUMMER bop..... its meant to be sung mellow.... I don't see the need for random High belts when the majority of the song is sung in the 4th and 3rd octave......more especially a remix like this with a NEW ORLEANS BOUNCE PRODUCTION....

  • @hmeraz86
    @hmeraz86 5 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    Ok let's be real. That F5 would have sounded way too out of place haha. Maybe a C5 would have been a good compromise. Song is too chill for an F5 in my opinion. I'm ready for some higher belts on that Lion king soundtrack! 🐝😍🐝

    This obsession with high belting will be the death of some of you hive members. Honestly, not every song calls for it, and not every song has to be imagined of what it would sound like. Just enjoy the music for what it is and be happy. If you’re going to always look for the high belts, you’ll NEVER BE satisfied. It would have ruined the song completely. This is a feel good, sing along classic, not a vocal showboat.

      It's about time ya'll get used to my obsession with her 5th octave belts. And I did enjoy every part of this song. This song is what I wanted to hear from Beyonce for about the past 5 years, and she delivered. Which makes me so excited for this new era.

    An F5 would over power the song. This is meant for cookouts and other blacktivities. If we're in the middle of the Electric Slide and Bey just starts screaming out of nowhere it would mess up the vibe.

  • @Gameworks1407

    Do you think she reworked her mix?
    Her passaggio has never sounded more connected and more resonant like those F#4s, E4s and they're right around her first passaggio and plus some were sustained, also they sounded like the rest of her chest which hasn't been the case. Even the A4s and B4s were extremely connected and resonant. Her "placement" and tone has also improved

    • @taytaybeynippy486
      @taytaybeynippy486  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be quite honest I think this was recorded in 2017. Her tone here sounds somewhat like what it sounded like during "Everything is love" and "Perfect Duet" it's nothing like the OTR2 Beyonce at all. I mean compare the G#4s, A4s in here to the ones in "Resentment", and there is a clear distinction in placement let alone mixing. I like what Beyonce sounded like during end of 2018 and I think it was a perfect place for her to tackle Disney ballads I'm just hoping that the Lion King songs weren't recorded before OTR2.

      Yeah I know I was thinking of what the key was if it was 3 steps higher which lands them on an Eb, F. When I should've been thinking of what the A4 and B4 should've been if they were higher.

    I don’t think F5 is in the key of the song lol but good showcase nevertheless. I hope you eventually get out of that high belt obsession lol it’s nice and fun to hear but it isn’t everything. Plus honestly her voice has lowered after giving birth. I doubt she’ll ever be belting F5’s and F#5’s all over the place like DIL, B’day or IASF live eras. And that’s completely ok.

    • @Gameworks1407
      @Gameworks1407 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not all over the place, but it would be nice to hear some sustained F5s or higher with a headier mix. But I think she'll need to sing higher for the Lion King, Disney doesn't like mezzo ranges. And honestly the B4 here sounds like she reworked her belting range, it's a different attack, way better resonance and openness

    • @taytaybeynippy486
      @taytaybeynippy486  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't need her to belt them all over the place high notes without a purpose are just a waste. High notes are used to change the mood, and to communicate a certain emotion, and sometimes just to be a wow factor. And going on an entire tour without using them is also in my opinion a waste. The Mrs Carter tour was perfect with high notes she only used them based on whenever she felt like diversifying the catalog of improvisations she was doing during the tour. The Formation world tour was also genius in that sense but unfortunately it just seemed like she chose 1+1, The Beautiful Ones and Halo to be the exclusive choices for improvising and that killed that tour especially with songs like "Daddy Lessons, Freedom, Rocket, and Me Myself And I" for me vocally. I don't need wow factors every night I need diversity of choices and adlibs in different songs.

She's always been that type of singer, so for us OGs we are gonna miss those upper 5th octave belts. Especially the studio ones. But nonetheless, we know she still got it.
