I recearched everything for weeks and ended up getting a M4 MacBook 16/512 for $1400 during the black friday. Seemed like the best value deal... even better than the $500 M4 16/256 Mac Mini because of the value of the keyboard, screen, webcam and the fact that it is portable. I am 50% at a desk, 25% in the condo/ away from desk, 25% remote. Remember that "away from desk" number when considering the Mac mini.

Yeah I've become such a tech slut. Wanted to replace my barely 2 year old m2 Mac mini but honestly don't need to. It still performs beautifully. That marantz amp would replace my old but still great sounding Cambridge Audio streaming amp. Though that has Spotify connect it lacks subwoofer management, more comprehensive steaming capabilities, hdmi, etc. On the other hand my apartment needs some work yet I keep buying grown man toys 🙄

Feel that Apple should lead with a new M5 series in the Apple Mac Studio, and Apple Mac Pro since the sales volume on these devices is lower than the consumer models. The top of the line should be the top of the line until in this case the M6 comes out.
The technology I would like to have before end of 2024 is a latest generation PC build for gaming and work related stuff. And per say for early 2025 would be a proper working apple intelligence and more refined chat gpt in regular usage.

It’s because then I need to pair the Mac mini with a good display. Can you do a video on the advantages, cost wise etc of getting a iMac desktop and comparing it to a iMac and display?
