Later, the guy who was the defendant, turned up dead. Hollywoods the exact opposite on the inside of what it is on the outside.

It wasn't Kinnear's show per se. It was a show that ran on NBC. It ran after Letterman, and when he left for CBS it was on after Conan. It had a number of hosts. The first was Costas. When Kinnear left, it was hosted by a number of people before being shifted into "Last Call" with Carson Daly (vomit).

    • @rcoveyduc

To say the show 'was his' is to say it was created for him imo. Which, it wasn't. Second host, and only for two years. If you're not the first, you'd better host it for a damn long time to call it 'yours'. I seriously doubt he does. Carson took over a show and made it his over 30 years. Johnny created the model. Kinnear was a footnote of a footnote show, and didn't bring anything new.

It’s crazy to know I was alive during this interview. A kid, around 7 years old, playing with my toys in a corner of a living room. In my pajamas. It’s 7:00pm and it’s a Friday night so I don’t have school. Briefly looking up and seeing my parents watching television and for a moment looking at the TV myself, seeing this random person my mom referred to as an actor named “Joe Pesci” and this other guy talking about things I know nothing about. “What’s a casino?” “What’s a cigar?” “What is goodfellas?” “He said something about kicking a dog. Why would he do that?” Then going back to playing with my toys.
Times were much simpler. Glad I got to live through them.

If the ate healthy AND took the correct nutritional supplements, they'd never get cancer from smoking, .Most people who smoke eat junk food, drink, and aren't trying to stay healthy. Let them rot. By the way, the HIGHEST rate of lung cancer in the United States is among women who own house cats and who do NOT smoke. The mixture of cat litter, urine and feces is highly carcinogenic,. Smoking does not cause cancer if you eat healthy organic foods, take high quality supplements and exercise.

Pesci's character was based on Tommy Desimone who was a much larger man in physical stature but Pesci's performance is so big it doesn't matter. There are times in Goodfellas when Pesci threatens to take over the movie and when you are working beside the likes of Robert Deniro that is truly saying something.

Tommy DeSimone was like in his mid 20's. What they end up doing in the film is make Henry and Tommy kinda the same age, with Tommy a little older. I think Tommy's character is meant to be late 30's. So that's younger than Joe Pesci, but older than the real guy.
