This is my favorite movie, and I’ve seen it so many times people would think I’m mad. My friends even make jokes about it from time to time, and I too, am literally in tears right now. The nestalgia, the time that has passed, the feeling of mortality. Truly one of the greatest pictures ever made, and for once I’m glad Tom Hanks turned down a roll. Tim Robbins IS Andy
He nailed it. Most of the time when a celebrity re-enacts a famous line they butcher it and it's nothing like when they did it in the movie. Then you're saying to yourself I wish I would have never heard it.
My mum was a camp leader and took care of Morgan Freeman’s Grand daughter, and when he came to visit her he spoke to my mother and she still talks about that to this day 😂
I can't tell you how many times I've watched that movie. It is a special movie. First time I have ever witnessed all the people at the theater give a standing ovation at the end of the movie. Incredible!

He's absolutely right about audience "word of mouth". The same thing happened to The Princess Bride, which was another movie that originally flopped in theatres because of poor marketing, but when it went to video, rentals soared as folks took it home to watch it and then told others, "you should see this movie I just watched!", which is exactly how I first saw it; at the home of friends who'd rented it, loved it and wanted to share it with me. This movie, along with Shawshank, is permanently laminated in my Top Ten Movies Of All Time.
Morgen Freeman's voice is incredibly therapeutic. He is an excellent actor and narrator! Incredible that Michael Cane, who himself, is a titan of the industry, actually pales when seated alongside Mr Freeman!
It's my number one movie. Never saw any trailer just watched it, mouth open in amazement. No need for special effects just pure acting, a very special film.
I really wish Morgan Freeman got recognition for Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. His portrayal of Azeem was absolutely amazing and is one of my favorite movies growing up as a child. Regardless of Kevin Costner's lack of accent I don't see how anyone can dislike it.
It's an incredibly campy movie (hence Alan Rickman's amazing performance) but Morgan Freeman played it fairly straight and still managed to bring across a gravitas. That's quite an achievement and definitely worth an award.
If there's one thing you can say, it's that there are no bad movies with Morgan Freeman in it. Well, there ARE bad movies with Morgan Freeman, but he's never the reason they're bad.
There are people who can really sing, and there is Mr Freeman who can really talk.

The way he acts with his voice is incredible. Like I cannot with the feeling he evokes through his voice.
I'm not gonna lie whenever I hear morgan freemans voice i always fell as though i'm about to hear an incredible story.

"The man with the golden voice". He seems to be aged a bit but not his voice. Not at all! Nope!
sal19 91 looks good for 80
He has been that old since age 21
@@NewOrleanCeltics21 Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn I never knew he was so old!! I expected him around late sixties
You just got to love Morgan, incredible actor, and this hilarious performance ! Awesome!!!
Morgan Freeman!! Such a legend he is... got no words 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Morgan I love him for his humor no matter how old he gets
I love you Morgan Freeman. An American treasure. Even on a dime he still gives a wonderful performance on a comedy show.
MrKajithecat u might be regretting saying that now with all the sexual assault allegations

Morgan is so awesome. We're all going to miss him when his time is up. Gosh he is so iconic!!!
I don't want to think of this man dying, because this world is the better for him being here - both his presence and his voice.
Arguably two of the greatest actors of my lifetime sitting on that couch on that show.
Agreed 🙌🏻
You know a highly respected actor is talking when the whole audience fall into silence to listen. Kudos, Morgan Freeman!

“Hutsucker reduction” 😂😂😂

The green Mile part 2
Sounds like part of the male's anatomy reduction surgery.
Morgan Freeman is such a class act❤️when you listen to him, one listens and ponders. A true gentleman. Great actor!!!!!!!
Aaaaand I have to go watch the movie again.
Darn you, Morgan Freeman, darn you all the way to Buxton!! *shakes fist"
You have to watch Shawshank again? That's not a reason to damn someone. You should praise them for the enjoyment you are about to receive.
lwaves EXACTLY!
Morgen Freeman's voice is incredibly therapeutic. He is an excellent actor and narrator! Incredible that Michael Cane, who himself, is a titan of the industry, actually pales when seated alongside Mr Freeman!
The music alone gave me chills though... what a perfect movie
It's my number one movie. Never saw any trailer just watched it, mouth open in amazement. No need for special effects just pure acting, a very special film.
Excellent! The voice and the timing of this man is impeccable!
I really wish Morgan Freeman got recognition for Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. His portrayal of Azeem was absolutely amazing and is one of my favorite movies growing up as a child. Regardless of Kevin Costner's lack of accent I don't see how anyone can dislike it.
Alicia Westfall Racism probably.
It's an incredibly campy movie (hence Alan Rickman's amazing performance) but Morgan Freeman played it fairly straight and still managed to bring across a gravitas. That's quite an achievement and definitely worth an award.
Agreed, that movie is so rewatchable and fun. There's not many good, fun movies anymore.
If there's one thing you can say, it's that there are no bad movies with Morgan Freeman in it.
Well, there ARE bad movies with Morgan Freeman, but he's never the reason they're bad.
Did anyone see that movie?
The Hudsucka reduction

Lets make it a thing
I heard Tim Robbins remark in an interview that not long after the movie's release, someone said to him, "Oh, you're the guy in that Scrimshaw movie".
Greatest narration ever in my opinion. Love Morgan Freeman
