    As an old Tripacer driver, I enjoyed watching your flight. I don’t have any bourbon so I poured myself a brandy

    My Dad and I had a Tri-Pacer too. Loved that plane, it wasn’t very far off of yours. It was N7042D. It was a 150hp. What is yours as I haven’t ever heard you say much about it except for the upgrades in radio gear which is very nice. I would love to find that plane again and try to buy it back as is was awesome and in great shape when Dad sold it and bought a Cherokee 180 which was ok but neither one of us liked it much and probably would have kept flying longer if we had kept the Tri-Pacer. Love your videos, brings back memories and makes me want to start flying again. Thanks for doing them!

    Wow! Just saw your panel. Sweet! Glass panel Tri Pacer. I just bought a 1959 172A and love it but I’ve always liked the Tri Pacers. I think they’re unrated. You can still get a great plane at very affordable price with the Tri Pacer. That probably won’t last much longer. Enjoying video. Gotta get back to watching. Godspeed

    So glad that we have the same idea about the Tri-Pacers . They make great cross-country airplanes! Thanks for the videos!

    I just found your channel. If you aren't already home, stop at Gundy's (038) just NE of Tulsa international. I have a PA-22-150, a friend has a PA-22-108 (135HP), and there is also a PA-20-150 on field.

      Oh man. I’m already back but I’m going back out in October for high Sierra. I’ll reach out and stop by then.

    Looking forward to the rest of the series! I also have a Tri-Pacer. Got my PPL in it 13 years ago and haven't ever considered selling it. My dad and I flew it from NY to California and back 3 years ago and last year had it down in the Bahamas. What year is yours? I've got a 1960 "Caribbean" O-320.

      @davidschmaus1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats awesome. Mine is a 57. I have a friend that has a Caribbean that has been converted to a tail dragger. Its a beautiful plane. The Bahamas is on our list to do in the next year or so. There is nothing like flying across the US in a small plane!

    Its great to see another video from you! "Now we roll out for 6000'". LOL! I don't know that I've even landed on a runway that long! And you mixed it up with some fighter jets, too. I know they were intimidated by the Tri Pacer. Nothing strikes fear like...

      @davidschmaus1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know man. I think I had one at 8000 on this trip too. I will say though that at some of those high density airports ole girl needed a little more runway!

    I've been really looking forward to this series. Hope you had or are having a great trip and if leaving your flightbag in an FBO is the worse thing to happen on the whole tip . I'd say it was a very successful one then. As always I appreciate you sharing these videos with us and maybe when I get my finances a little better I'll start some patreon. Until then I do seriously appreciate what you do share on here because I know it's not easy.

    • @davidschmaus1

      Thanks Kevin. Thank goodness it was the worse thing that happened on the trip. Got back in town on Friday and it was amazing. Thanks again for watching. Appreciate it!
