Simply plays Super Mario 64 but we are in Rocket League. This video is similar to the Speedrunning Mario 64 in Minecraft with Smallant, but instead we are now in Rocket League. These Super Mario 64 hacks and SM64 rom hacks are getting out of hand! The fact that you can BLJ, a Mario 64 speedrunning technique, in Rocket League. It's the original physics code of SM64 ported into Rocket League, BLJs didn't have to be specifically programmed in. The toggle to make them work anywhere is amazing though lmao

Does anyone know how they made this? Seems to me an impossible task to exactly recreate movement from an existing game, especially mario. Getting the exact feel for the character is very difficult and can depend on a lot of intricacies in the code. However, "porting over" controls from a N64 game to rocket league seems like a hell of a job too. So i'm curious.

With the decomp, maybe a lot of the math is already solved, but I do wonder how much of the target game's physics has to be tampered with until it feels right. Bear in mind this took months, so it isn't that straight-forward.

@@Marcotonio It's not so much the math being solved as the entire code being copied. An actual instance of the PC Port is running in the background, and it is receiving collision data, and returning model data.
