We got shut down, partially, by the physicality. Little guys like Aaronson get put in the dirt everytime they get the ball stopping the flow or the counter, then Mexico gets to reset their D behind the ball. Putting in big aghressive guys like Haji and Vasquez helped, plus Zendejas's raw spunk.

The us lined up with a starting line up that consisted of 9 players that play in Europe to mexicos starring line up that consisted of 3 players that play in Europe. This US team even with the missing Mckinney, Pulasic, Reyna, Dest got grouped in the Cooa America. There not a good team collectively. Mexico are also not a good team if the US with there B team would have attacked them they would have found a way the players just played with no fire and let's be real the defense is what it is there is really no other options for defense and goal keeper for the US. Improvements are coming for both US and Mexico hopefully they can both find more depth and quality within the leagues
What a shame for the new coach Pochettino aligning a team with incompetent rookie and washed up players knowing that in this game against Mexico the USA is playing most of all for pride.
Toothless compared to the Panama game! There’s a lot of work to do! Letting Christian & Pepe go back to their teams was a bad idea. I don’t think anyone mentioned that our record in Mexico isn’t good. I’m also very surprised our goalkeepers are not keeping up with the rest of the team outside of our national squad. We have to do better! Hopefully this gives Poch a clearer understanding of where we are. This is also Poch’s 2nd game.

Almost the same starting lineup ended up with tired players (Poch's fault). Also no Pulisic and no difference maker; we were clearly afraid of going forward and losing the ball before the subs came on in the 70th and the general level of low quality of mostly B or C team players showed.

I think the Mexico match has lost its importance to the US players and federation. It's a money grab game for US Soccer here in the States to fill stadiums with Americans who still support their grannies team. The US players don't take it seriously because Mexico's team is so horrible. No one took this game seriously as we used it to trot out fringe players, hopefuls, and a couple of regulars. I think Antonee Robinson was the only locked in starter for the US for this match. Maybe Aaronson depending on who's available. The US team looked like they were all ready for a nap.
I told everyone so. I don’t care who our manager is and who is called up and not called up. We do not have the players to be a quality side.
