that is mexicos A team, not sure what you are talking about. Who else from that lineup is missing? Literally no one, stop talking nonsense. Only Turner and Robinson are considered starters from that team. And yes, both team are mid anyways
@@mauriciorosas366 yes, last game vs valencia mexicos front three was actually ass, vs usa they had a way better lineup. You still didn't answer my question. Usmnt has only won once in Mexico… let’s be honest usmnt aren’t good away from home. They need to play more national teams away from home in South America or hell even Asia
The problem is our B team isn't really a team. It's more a collection of guys who come off the bench. So its not shocking that they didn't play well as a team.
Luciano acosta me>>> dc what mls haters in (and I'm not an mls shill by any stretch of the imagination). This team needs a guy like him as badly as we needed to recruit balogun. I've said it for a min and continue to say it now. He's argentinian american in january or february and DYING to represent this country and get some international action. His grit, fight, and values definitely something poch has been looking for. He also fits around our front 3 of pulisic, balogun, and weah like peanut butter and jelly. Reyna could learn a few things from him and he obv has more than enough chemistry with vazquez to the point that he probably knows exactly what vazquez is thinking when either one of them has the ball. Vazquez ofc showed promise as to me he always has when he's put on a usmnt jersey. Hopefully acosta gets the call up.
I think this camp was an A+, assuming Poch takes note of what he should have, which is that these guys just aren’t very good. And we need to start looking elsewhere for depth in midfield, and quite frankly this extends to some of the starters as well. The MMA midfield isn’t technical enough to pick apart good teams, they’re very one note. Reyna is the key, and if his health continues to be an issue, the US has to find some 10 midfield playmakers in order to really compete with higher level teams, or it’s back to bunker ball and counter. If that became clear to Poch, I consider this camp a huge success.
Id rather usmnt takes a risk and lose in a meaningless friendly, then to take a risk and lose in a competitive match... This is about figuring out what the best squad is under difficult conditions, not playing friendlies in the States because its easier... You guys have to think here...
No more xcuses top teams and top national teams become ELITE when they win championships with any player beacuse u starter player is good yes but your bencj player should be as good as the starer real Madrid won like 2 or 3 chmapions leugue with rodrigo Ridrigo was bench Man city another example when they dont have a player they still defeat any team
But it is okay to take all these average players to know what they got, but I already knew that the new players were gonna struggle for away matches and Mexicans got fans too.

Yes, over reacting. Mexico is no longer a threat. Literally all the starters were not playing so the outcome was expected. Plus, being Poch's 2nd game. I mean come on. I would have liked to see way more better play from this game, but hard to be cohesive with such a big lineup change. A who cares game. Plus this gives USA more incentive to beat Mexico's ass next game.
Please insert a section to talk about U20/U23 folks that I believe could contribute by 2026. This is the perfect time to insert youth into the team and allow them to get the experience. For a chance, Tsakiris could be that 10 we need. There are guys that have way more ball handling skills than the current folks in the roster. Edelman, Pukstas, McGlynn, Sullivan, Wolff, Luna, Cowel, Tolkin, Paredes, etc...for example, I heard a lot of people talking trash about Cowel, but at this moment, Cowel could play 9 because he has size and speed and could have success when he is more involved. At least would have done it better that Sargent that is completely useless
Tim weah , rena, dest and balogun and Tyler Adam are not in the game, and these guys that I mentioned are superstars. I know that Mexicans were happy to see these average players in order to win them in their own country
It's a process, he's looking at depth, I thought it was interesting, Poch makes his comments about fat players in the press conference and Weston McKennie is sent home because he's "injured" (reports now from Italy that the "injury" isnt serious and he'll probably only miss one game) I imagine Poch probably had a word "stay in shape or you won't play", I think this camp was an opportunity to evaluate certain players mainly, that Mexico game just showed that certain players can't be relied on, I had a feeling he'd like Aaronson, he probably sees him as similar to Conor Gallagher in terms of style, a useful bench player who can come on and aggressively press opposition players if you've got a lead and can run almost constantly
