But they happen to say it often to foreigners with not so fluent Japanese, in an encouraging way, they're so happy someone is learning their language. Some fluent foreign speakers claim to never get jouzud. This + some dougen and you get yourself the jouzu meme.

I feel like this is necessary to anyone watching who is aspiring to be a v.a DO NOT DO WHAT SHE DID. 1% of voice actors make it and leaving university with no back up plan to pursue your dreams is just setting yourself up for disaster. Chase your dreams but be realistic
Another thing as well, she worked her ass off got accepted into a VA school before deciding to quit uni, had contacts in Japan, and is an actual Japanese person (alot of bias for that in japan obviously). All those things add up, you(whoever is reading this ig) probably don't have any of those, play it safe.
@@levibest2409 I support chasing dreams, I also support informed decisions. I think one people forget about jobs in entertainment is that, generally the skills you develop specifically for them(in a broader sense, if you are a VA you might teach yourself to edit stuff for clips and reels and editing is a good skill, but vocal acting is the genralised skillset) only really apply to one or at most two very competitive fields, and if the fields aren't competitive they dont pay much(sometimes they are BOTH). So if you go into entertainment and commit a chunk of your life to that, and it doesn't work, you've effectively wasted that chunk of your life (employment wise) because the likelyhood you are getting a job outside of entertainment is slim with that skillset. But let's say you get a degree in engineering(or other degrees with good skillsets), the world of employment is literally your oyster, maybe you dont become an engineer in whatever field you chose, but maybe you get a different engineering job (you can learn on the job its quite common), you can get a job in physics; or project management, coding, teaching et cetera. The skills you get from that degree are vastly applicable and sought after which is why its a safe bet. Miss Uchida here, did something brave but not something I would ever recommend. Went into entertainment in a foreign country without a backup plan or even really a means to support herself while training to get a skillset that only applys to a hyper competitive industry, in the country where its THE MOST competitive, pissing off her parents in the process (not a good thing for financially unstable young adults to do, cause sometimes you need a parent bail out), also she might be Japanese, but she said even at the time her Japanese wasnt amazing which also hampers her employment and even just general living. Its the same people who think you should sell all your worldly possessions to buy equipment to start steaming. There are so mat people who stream, you cannot guarantee you will ever be able to support yourself off it. I always recommend doing shit as a hobby first (a hobby you take seriously) practice,build up your skills, slowly but surely put more resources into it so you can improve, get a skill that makes you stand out or just be entertaining, learn to market and promote yourself online. If you are doing a good job and are a good streamer, you will get a fanbase you willl start making money slowly but surely, without making it so you have no other options. And I think the same is true for a lot of things in life that are non-traditional careers (exception being potentially sports, but even thats a but iffy nowadays with pro athletes competing while doing college/uni part time)

What they're talking about here is SIF All Stars, which is another game that features μ's, Aqours and Nijigasaki Girls High School (basically another group). It's a game that takes place in another universe sort of where all three groups exist together at the same time and can interact with each other unlike the original SIF and show where they aren't operating at the same time as each other. In SIFAS, the main story revolves around the Nijigasaki Girls School Idol Club. In the second 'season' of the main story, they introduce a new antagonistic character called Lanzhu Zhong who has a friend called Mia Taylor. Unlike the main cast of all the previous groups, Lanzhu and Mia are unique in that their characters are not pure Japanese; Lanzhu is Chinese-Japanese and Mia is from New York (? i think, can't remember). To reflect this, they hired two new seiyuu, Akina Homoto who grew up in China, and Shu who is from Australia. As such, until the introduction of Keke Tang in the newest group Liella, Lanzhu and Mia were unique in that the songs they sang were in different languages other than Jap. Mia in particular has a song called I'm still which is mostly English with a smattering of Japanese.

But they happen to say it often to foreigners with not so fluent Japanese, in an encouraging way, they're so happy someone is learning their language. Some fluent foreign speakers claim to never get jouzud. This + some dougen and you get yourself the jouzu meme.
@Dmon ! i agree, but there could be some other factors as well that made jp jouzu so popular, like the amount of people learning japanese and or visiting japan. I've heard they act similarly in korea (i think matt vs japan made a vid with a korean speaker mentioning that). Heard it from some other places in asia too. So this jouzu thing might happen in many places. Could have been that interest in japan on the internet (by people who happen to be memers gamers weebs) made this meme a thing.

I feel like this is necessary to anyone watching who is aspiring to be a v.a DO NOT DO WHAT SHE DID. 1% of voice actors make it and leaving university with no back up plan to pursue your dreams is just setting yourself up for disaster. Chase your dreams but be realistic

Another thing as well, she worked her ass off got accepted into a VA school before deciding to quit uni, had contacts in Japan, and is an actual Japanese person (alot of bias for that in japan obviously). All those things add up, you(whoever is reading this ig) probably don't have any of those, play it safe.

I think one people forget about jobs in entertainment is that, generally the skills you develop specifically for them(in a broader sense, if you are a VA you might teach yourself to edit stuff for clips and reels and editing is a good skill, but vocal acting is the genralised skillset) only really apply to one or at most two very competitive fields, and if the fields aren't competitive they dont pay much(sometimes they are BOTH). So if you go into entertainment and commit a chunk of your life to that, and it doesn't work, you've effectively wasted that chunk of your life (employment wise) because the likelyhood you are getting a job outside of entertainment is slim with that skillset. But let's say you get a degree in engineering(or other degrees with good skillsets), the world of employment is literally your oyster, maybe you dont become an engineer in whatever field you chose, but maybe you get a different engineering job (you can learn on the job its quite common), you can get a job in physics; or project management, coding, teaching et cetera. The skills you get from that degree are vastly applicable and sought after which is why its a safe bet.
Miss Uchida here, did something brave but not something I would ever recommend. Went into entertainment in a foreign country without a backup plan or even really a means to support herself while training to get a skillset that only applys to a hyper competitive industry, in the country where its THE MOST competitive, pissing off her parents in the process (not a good thing for financially unstable young adults to do, cause sometimes you need a parent bail out), also she might be Japanese, but she said even at the time her Japanese wasnt amazing which also hampers her employment and even just general living.
Its the same people who think you should sell all your worldly possessions to buy equipment to start steaming. There are so mat people who stream, you cannot guarantee you will ever be able to support yourself off it. I always recommend doing shit as a hobby first (a hobby you take seriously) practice,build up your skills, slowly but surely put more resources into it so you can improve, get a skill that makes you stand out or just be entertaining, learn to market and promote yourself online. If you are doing a good job and are a good streamer, you will get a fanbase you willl start making money slowly but surely, without making it so you have no other options. And I think the same is true for a lot of things in life that are non-traditional careers (exception being potentially sports, but even thats a but iffy nowadays with pro athletes competing while doing college/uni part time)

Your definitely right in everything u say and im glad for your comment. I plan to focus on veterinary medicine, and yeah I definitely should pursue va as a hobby first! I admire her bravery and dedication but realistically like u say its not a good decision bc most of the time itll flop. She had advantages yeah. Though i thank u for talking some sense bc i was definitely getting in over my head with my dreams.

What they're talking about here is SIF All Stars, which is another game that features μ's, Aqours and Nijigasaki Girls High School (basically another group). It's a game that takes place in another universe sort of where all three groups exist together at the same time and can interact with each other unlike the original SIF and show where they aren't operating at the same time as each other.
In SIFAS, the main story revolves around the Nijigasaki Girls School Idol Club. In the second 'season' of the main story, they introduce a new antagonistic character called Lanzhu Zhong who has a friend called Mia Taylor. Unlike the main cast of all the previous groups, Lanzhu and Mia are unique in that their characters are not pure Japanese; Lanzhu is Chinese-Japanese and Mia is from New York (? i think, can't remember). To reflect this, they hired two new seiyuu, Akina Homoto who grew up in China, and Shu who is from Australia. As such, until the introduction of Keke Tang in the newest group Liella, Lanzhu and Mia were unique in that the songs they sang were in different languages other than Jap. Mia in particular has a song called I'm still which is mostly English with a smattering of Japanese.
