This is the best review I've seen. You answered questions no else has asked. Even showing it locked up to a bike rack. So many people ignore the practical stuff Well done sir. Very well done.
brady!....saw this vid back in jan. '18 (gave ya a thumbs up)....watched all the cycleboard vids i could find and was sold!....called phil--all of first gen boards sold out, but several new models coming out in spring of '18....watched the 'rover' vid shortly after it appeared on youtube....had to have it!!!...called phil again and was informed it would be shipped in june.....went thru my electric surf sports guy to order it (previously bought a folding voltbike from him--love it).....got in on 'pre-order sale' in early april--saved $300....to be delivered in june....plan to do a vid when i get the hang of it....
Scottybob Videopants I ordered a Rover yesterday as well. Was gonna get the Elite, but the Rover had too looks and the capability I want! Started my scooter journey with a Ninebot/Segway ES1, moved on to a Ninebot Elite + PTR (considering selling) and now I’m on pins and needles waiting for the CBR!
lol.....i hear ya....still waiting for eta....sooooon, i hope.....i have a ball cap with a propeller on top and embroidered front: "I don't wanna grow up!".....twue!.....arrrrrr
Yes it's so cool and fast, I have very similar version of 3 wheels and riding on it is awesome. The only difference is that I don't open my mouth so wide because vmax can decrease dramatically in such a case. :-) Have a good day and big fun all of you riders...
did you get sport, elite, elite pro? can you comment on the comfort going over sidewalk cracks and road bumps and such? if you can compare it to the Bird or Lime scooter comfort level that would be helpful thanks! i have a Segway ES2 with extended battery it's light at 30 pounds but really rough over bumps cracks due to solid rubber tires. i am considering an elite pro or rover.
Brady Hurst the Rover is going to be 74 pounds with standard battery. That's a lot to drag around like a luggage cart or lift up into the trunk of a car. How is the Elite with these simple moves? I'm guessing it's around 50 pounds with battery.
@@paulc4040 I have the Elite v2 but haven't used it much yet. I'd suggest asking the folks over at CycleBoard.com. or on the CycleBoard Owners Facebook page.I can tell you off the bat that the CycleBoard is much better quality than any of the Bird or Lime scooters. Those are like toys comparatively. The CB is heavy and big, but sturdy and strong with three wheels, a wider base for stability. To be fair, scooter sharing couldn't be done with high quality units as they'd cost too much to rent and insure. Those are for the general public to hop on and off. The CycleBoard is for using and enjoying for years to come. I plan to use mine for commuting to and from work.
I just got the rover I kid you not but I'm struggling going straight the whole board is shaking I'm swiveling from side to side is it just me or it happens to everyone?
Good review. Im having a problem with the looseness of the steering stick. There’s lots of give back and forth on it. I’ve reached out to the manufacturer a couple times but gotten no response. Wondering if anyone else has that problem.
It does become loose, but it can be tightened up easily with the knob at the bottom of the handle column. Fun note, the knob is actually ratchet like since you can’t spin it all the way around.
I haven't taken it out in the rain, but on a day after rain. The CB performed fine but my foot slipped a little on the platform. It's slippery which is good for cleaning however.
@@bradyhurst9120 It's not easy for me to pick up nor drag. But I am a female gym enthusiast, under 5 feet tall. I think it's important to share that because one reason I liked this was due to reviews and seeing people trolley it, not thinking about the fact that others may be much taller. The new CB Elite doesn't have an adjustable handle either. So when I pick up one end, it barely comes off of the ground. I have to hold it all the way up folded, and roll it. It comes to the top of my chest - almost to my neck. I can get used to it but I am sharing for others who may be about my height.

it s huge and heavy ! will wait for a better one with full front and back lights for night drive and IP68 and easy tire exchange etc
Mine is arriving today! I can't wait!
Where Can I buy? Been looking for one with no luck
Need an update now that you've had it for awhile.

@@MichaelLeeUSAFRetired We should be getting our Rover's any day now.
Good video Brandy. :)
If you can (and if it's practical for you), get the fenders, lock and phone mount, they're cool add ons.
I love mine.

We have the Elite. We try to avoid the sidewalks since they don't have shocks= bumpy. Getting my rover this month so I'll be doing another review.

Ours started out solid but now they are going back an forth also. Took it apart to inspect. Nothing's wrong.
My lever is problematic. They're very responsive and helping me out with it.
@@bradyhurst9120 Are you still having the issue? Have you let CycleBoard know?

It’s been fine in the rain, just don’t go through large puddles where to get submerged.
