What a lovely little old machine, all the work you’ve done on the fuel system isn’t waisted as what you’ve done is future proof that side of things. Glad you found the cause of the poor running and looking forward to seeing more of Gertie.
GREAT JOB! She's purring now. I was surprised at the parts cost... very affordable in my eyes. What a great buy. Makes me want one even more. Keep em comin. I'm rootin fer ya.
As between the rotor cap and the advance mechanism, I would suspect the advance mechanism. I've experienced the same problem. You will know soon enough if it starts acting up again. The PB blaster fix may work for a while, or it may not. It's not too hard to take the mechanism out of the distributor, clean the parts, soak them in our favorite marinade (evaporust) and put them back together. New springs are probably in order. And don't forget the two oil plugs on the distributor housing (you probably know this already). I don't know why IH put plugs rather than grease nipples, but it's not a tough job Just invariably messy. Nice to see you got the old girl running well!
Hi! My name is Tom and you are missing the clear plastic sleeve on your Donaldson air cleaner. NAPA use to carry the sleeves. The supers all have disk brakes also. Tom

Thank you. Yes, we’ll see what happens with the distributor. I don’t mind taking it apart if I have to. Thanks for the heads up on the oil plugs!

Look up nenkuten glass sediment bowl on Amazon. Good quality for a cheap one. Maybe I got lucky with it?
