- Coming back to you guys with something different today! Saw an article on @MothershipSG bout hawkers seeking the public's help in patronising food stalls located in the ITE College West canteen.
Main reason for this video is to help out the hawkers there as most of the students ain't really back in school due to Covid.

As someone who graduated ITE in 2013, I can confirm the hotplate uncle has been selling that long. When I was still there, his hair was still black 😢. Always recommended me the Fu Rong Fried Chicken. Thank for you this 🥲

As an ITE CW graduate in 2019, I absolutely love the food there especially the food court at the top...
We students would always go crazy for the Western food at the other food court and I'd always order their honey chicken chop 😋
Their food is definitely affordable and tasty... I'm glad you came to support these stall owners during this tough time... 😇👍🏻

Used to eat the Furong Egg Fish every single day when I was studying there, never tired of it and the uncle selling it is a nice guy😀

Nowadays students very rich already, prefer to buy fast food for $10 then school food courts for much lesser, i remember back in school my daily allowance can't even afford a meal at Macdonalds, school food was good enough for my nourishments at school. Hope the school stalls still keep going during this harsh periods, thx for the promo 🙏

yeah me too!!!!! I only eat school canteens! and I only go out to eat once a week to celebrate weekly exams during JC days. and during my era, fast food are not SOOO EXPENSIVE!!! ITE - if you were near me I WOULD VISIT YOU EVERYDAY.

As a Current CW Student, I recommend the Crema West (Lvl 4). The Coffee Based Drinks which are sold there are very good for the price point.
For The food Canopy (Lvl3) - the waffle quality is vv good, I recommend the Chocolate Banana waffle good for tea break in between lessons
I love the Japanese stall, their black pepper beef and chicken is great.
Further more,they serve a variety of Janpanese BENTO SET, Salmon, TAKO, tempura and so many more. Cheers to the ITE west canteen. Really a big fan of Janpanese stall.

As someone that graduated in 2017 man this brings me back, i still remember that waffles store at the very end of the food court on the "3rd floor"(bcoz ITE West ground floor is 2) used to get that waffles everyday so it hurts to hear that they are doing bad.

I didn't know that the canteen stalls at my former school are doing badly, even though the food are delicious, especially the ones from western and pasta stalls on the second floor.

I always get the furong egg chicken so happy it's featured too albeit it's fish instead. Also the carbonara is another one that i always buy when studying there. I miss all the food. Happy that my favorite stalls are still there

Brings back memories, as I used to work there as a staff for couple of months.. Value for money really.. Keeps the staff and student stomachs full and happy. Thanks for doing this I hope the stalls can survive the pandemic!

Got what some mrt got those $2-3 chicken rice. But expect is small portion. They smack flat the meat to make it look more when it's v little. Lol...

Great to see you are supporting one of the most affected sub-part of Singapore Food Stall Industry.
For me the 'hearts and souls' of Singapore food are its stalls - Hawker Centers / Others.
I wish I can come again and try some of my favourites such as -
-Kaya toast with runny eggs and Kopi O / Teh
-Chicken / Duck Rice
-Satays
-Hokkien Mee and many different kind of noodles with pork
-Dimsums at some places
-Malasysian food
-Kway teow
-Char Siu
-Lovely sea food - stingray sambal / prawns / Bamboo clams etc.
-Pepper Crabs with fried buns (My fav)
all of this of course with the lovely Singapore beer - Tiger.
To end all this with some nice dessert such as Or Nee (sweet yam paste) or bubur cha cha or Ice Kachang.
All these from the Hawker Stalls as much as possible.

@@ZermattNeo I think there are more options I haven’t mentioned. I think Singapore is the food capital of South East Asia. So many things to eat and try here. All major SEA cuisines and added to that world cuisines too. South Indian food outside India is best served here.

usually during lunch time, the canteen is super crowded, but due to covid the number of people allowed in the canteen is much lesser so those who cant get seats order food into school haha

First batch of ITE college west CCK student here (2010 to 2012), transferred from satellite campus. So much has changed over the past 11 years. I still remember the old matrix and eco, burger king and shopnsave. I hope everyone from my batch is doing well now.

bro since you have the privilege and power please can you promote this food for dormitory/ community on daily basis for the food to be delivered from such stalls and hawker stalls at least in this way we can support the local stalls on daily basis. Please use your influence to promote them in such way in that way it will feed both stalls and the migrant workers due to the good pricing.. just my suggestion. There will be many work forces we can contribute or recommend to buy in bulk for the serving from these stalls to help both ways..

I really miss ITE West. Back in 2011 - 2015, the foods were very nice. I came back here last week, all has changed after 6 years.

Nyp also. Just dropped by recently and the old japanese stall no mall. The replacement is so yuck,fried one. Tho better than ite cck(more meat same price).
I remember there used to be a mala stall at the 2nd level canteen, was definitely my favourite
