    Thanks. You're one of the few I enjoy watching in real time, though i probably prefer voiceover for expidiency. So many videos; so little time. Feeling like I have to get samples of some of the inks. Enjoyable, and thanks again.

      I totally get it! I have the same problem with the many videos.

    Another lovely chit chat. I’m glad you’re getting the inkvent this year! I think a break between them is almost necessary, but I will miss opening them every day with everyone.

    This is an awesome lineup! I’m with you on the TWSBI 580, it just doesn’t suit me. I love how one page is warm and the other cool, and how you’ve added some of the pen features to your currently inked documentation. Thanks for sharing! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋

      It's definitely more troublesome than last month's.

    Fantastic ink colors and your new Benu pen is super cute. I actually like when you talk through the video but it is whatever is best for you. Thank you for sharing.

    I love how thorough your currently inked is. I think I'm going to go to two pages now as well instead of struggling to cram everything onto one.

      Yeah, I'm trying to tell myself constantly that I don't have to continue doing something because it doesn't work.

    Hi Simone, I always see Edelstein Apatite in every other pen/ink video you have ;) You can never get tired or go wrong with what's amazing!!! And Apatite is one of those miracle inks! I also love Apatite so much, it is my favorite Turquoise ink (and I love that it dries tealish on most paper but still retains its bright turquoise color). Such a lovely ink!! :D So excited for you that the last month's Atlas mystery box included the Apatite ink bottle for you! You won't have to worry about it going out anytime soon! I really love your BENU Orchid and the Fine nib is perfect!! I need to get my hand on one of those tiny benus xD

    • @seemownay
      @seemownay  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha, yes, it was definitely a favorite of mine for the past three months while it was inked in the Montegrappa. But the Apatite days are counted as this time around it will be uninked. Don't let the "tiny" Benu fool you, it's just short but rather stout and overall is one of my longest pocket pens.

    It's so interesting how different people feel about different pens. The twsbi diamond 580 is one of my favourite pens. I bought it in EF and later I have also bought an M nib for it. I have it inked always.

    I want to point out that Majohn a1 also makes the pilot vp units with steel ef and f nibs :) and their like 1/6th the price

    • @seemownay
      @seemownay  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that's right. That's the most affordable steel nib option for sure.

    First time I came across your channel. I like the way you presented the pens and inking here. I wouldn't want a "Cliff Notes" version of this process...or time lapse type posting. You're a very organized person and we can all learn from that. Thanks. I'm going to subscribe too! Have a great day out in the Great West...the high Sierra's are beautiful. May I ask how long you have lived in the Sierra's? You have a very soothing voice. Very deliberate style. I like that. Cheers!

      Welcome aboard! This is one of the only parts of my life that are this organized. But I enjoy this level of nerdiness immensely.
      I just moved here and I love every aspect of it: the mountains, the sun, the reservoirs, I can't wait to explore more.

      @@seemownay Thanks for the nice response Seemownay. We lived in N. CA for quite a while and there is so much to explore all along the interior of CA and NV too. I have such fond memories of Hwy 395!!

    You might like the Twsbi 580 ALR because it has ridged grip section.

      I had one briefly in 2017 and sold it because I didn't like the grip section.

    I prefer knowing the size nib you're writing with (EF, F, M, B, BB) rather than the material of the nib (Stainless Steel, 14K). Your handwriting is so pretty!

    • @seemownay
      @seemownay  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, thanks for your comment! The material of the nib is something that I'm interested in comparing, that's why I've added it here. I'm not sure you saw but I also said and wrote the nib size for each pen so I didn't omit one for the other.

    Thank you. WHile I love Pilot's nib, I'm not a great fan of the various Pilot converters. I suppose the CON-70 is the bst, but you have to be careful with it (not to knock over the ink bottle as you repeatedly push button).

    • @seemownay
      @seemownay  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use the con-40 because I absolutely don't like that vacuum filling converter.

    Opus fountain pens are from 🇹🇼 Taiwan not Japan. Your making me re consider Robert Oster African Gold. Like you some inks I didn’t like previously I’m actually quite enjoy now. As always, thanks for sharing.

    • @seemownay
      @seemownay  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I worded it weirdly because you are not the only person who misunderstood. The filling mechanism is a Japanese eye dropper.

  • @anguswhite8233
    @anguswhite8233 ปีที่แล้ว

    like your Twsbi mini: agree with you about the 580, although my Jowo F & EF nibs both write beautifully: think you might not be the only one who finds that aluminium section slippery - they’ve brought out the 580 ALR which is ribbed which should help; I just found the 580 excessively long - God knows why anyone feels the need to post this pen?!; liking that you talk as you write and love the format: as long as you post pens in use vid’s, I’ll happily keep watching:); yama-budo is a really wet ink as are all the ones I’ve tried except shin-kai, syo-ro and sui-gyoku, oh, and shin-ryoku; think ajisai and asa-gao might be not too wet too: have small writing, so really need an ink not to be excessively wet!:)

    • @seemownay
      @seemownay  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The first TWSBI beyond the Eco was a Diamond 580 with the ALR grip and I did not like that pen at all! I have had lots of problems with the VP being too dry, so I'm trying wetter inks in it, but this yama-budo VP combination is just too wet.

    The Opus 88 Koloro is from Taiwan, not Japan.

    • @seemownay
      @seemownay  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thank you so much for your comment. I wasn't referring to where the pen comes from but the filling mechanism, which to my knowledge is called a Japanese eyedropper. I found a blogpost by the Gentleman Stationer that might be able to clarify: www.gentlemanstationer.com/blog/2022/7/3/to-eyedropper-or-not-to-eyedropper-that-is-the-question
