love these guys. still listen to them. When things get out of hand you tend to go back to the basics. And these guys are the perfect of that. Not a bunch of fancy, just Godly singing by Godly men, and they do it perfectly. When I am struggling, I go back to the basics.
I know the inspirations I knew Archie and everyone! I'm 13 we would go to North Carolina to singin in the smokies and Archie's grand daughter Mr. Cambell"s daughter and I would play on the bus. I miss it so much!
@InspirationsFan Thanks for posting this. IMHO this is their best album of all. I have it myself and can't listen to it without crying a little. It brings back some beautiful memories and some sad ones. The Inspirations were, to me, the best quartet, in those days. It is difficult explain or to put my finger on, but they had something no one else seemed to have. It may be just me, but I am afraid they don't quite have it now. Still good though.
...I probably met you then. I was there too lol my family got pulled on stage one time to do a song cause we're a band. That's how I met Dolly :) Still do performances for her tour groups every now and then. I heard they moved those singings to a building somewhere in Pigeon Forge. We used to hang out with all those guys, I was a lucky kid.
Can you post some more great songs from this album? I'd love to hear The Redeemed are Coming Home, and I'll Live Again..........all the songs on this album are classics!
Jay White It could be for a couple of reasons. 1. Eddie usually filled in the part that's harder to hear/pick out - aka the baritone part. But in this song Troy's part (the 2nd tenor) is actually that way so therefore Eddie sings it. 2. Eddie's voice is naturally higher than Troy's.
Are you going to post more songs from this record? I think there's one called He'll wipe away the tears? I was hoping you would post it, since the inspirations website doesn't even have it..

I heard a song last night on the radio and it was talking about dying and heaven and I wanted to know what is the name of that song
the one in peach was me!!!!!
If you listen carefully, Troy and Eddie switched parts on this song.
Jeffrey Troyer Woah! Never occurred to me! Wonder why they arranged it that way?
