@@OHMZGamesthis boss hitbox is ridiculous, never hit him with charged attk, always miss or he stepped back 1 step from the atk even he was on the ground. And the following camera too, devs need to work on this
@@izTruong this fight can be very annoying as it’s difficult to hit him with the charged attacks. After a while you get used to his attacks and their openings. When he charges and falls over, that’s a good point to charge a heavy
@@OHMZGames i just beated him with the spellbinder and spamming light atk in the first try of this spell lol, like i said before, the hitbox just sucks, he is not hard 😂
I got him basically using the same tactics for the Scorpion Lord. First phase, no spells. Just try to dodge between his legs and use light attacks along with a heavy when you get a window. For the second phase, immediately go into Cloud Step, run to the left and start charging your heavy attack. You should be able to avoid his ranged slashes. Hit him with the heavy and then as long as he’s upright continue with the tactics from the first phase. If he goes airborne, go into cloud step and charge your heavy again. I maxed out on mana so I had plenty including being able to use immobilize at least once. So rinse and repeat along with using Falcon Hermit. I was able to freeze him and do a lot of damage with a charged heavy. Use your transformation to clean him up when he’s almost down.
Yeah if you can beat the bosses second phase then that’s great. Sadly if you miss the one shot you have to start from the first phase which is annoying
Thanks, Duskveil and Yellow Loong are some of the hardest fights in the game. I had completed chapter 4 and already had defeated Duskveil before taking on yellow loong. I have a video on the channel if you need help with yellow loong th-cam.com/video/X1lF6QLUP1w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=t4S4NuYv_ZpB3yPS
This has been pretty much the tactics I decided on - plus a couple of Cloud Steps thrown in when I need a breather - but I am just not good at dodging so best I have done is get him down to the last 10% of his 2nd phase. I found Pluck of Many rather ineffective on this boss: rather have the mana for something else. May have to use the health pill.
@@unreasonable3589 Yeah keeping cloud step in reserve when needed is always a good idea. 10% is really close so you’ll definitely get it done soon! Yeah pluck of many wasn’t the best for this fight. Getting the opening to use the spirit attack / charged heavy attacks are key. Using the transformation early on too. The life saving pill is always good if you’ve managed to get them
@@OHMZGames Just got this done a few hours ago! Without using my minions I had a lot more options to get in charged smash attacks safely. I had to use a life pill in the middle of phase 2, but that is what they are there for. Wish we had them earlier in the game TBH. In the end chapter boss (and the scorpion) the minions were essential for me as the horrible things dodge many heavy attacks. it is quite frustrating. I get caught up trying to heal wayyy too much. and I hate sacrificing my cloud step to heal like some do. once you unlock the last cloud step skill it uses much more mana. I've been thinking about taking that skill away so it doesn't, but then I sacrifice all that critical damage. but then half the time the hit box is so small I miss with unveiling strike. bottom line..... yeah Motha F than Needle. 😂 nah, ima get it.
@@MrKirk94 yeah it’s a frustrating fight for sure and the needle is well worth it for the final chapter 4 boss. That is even worse if you don’t have the needle. So it comes back based on Qi, when you deal attacks / damage you build up your Qi. My Wandering Wight spirit is at max level so needs less Qi to use it so that could be the reason. If you’re aggressive with attacks it will build up faster too.
