The quick changes to thrust stance to do tactical retreat and doing that perfect “see through” retreat in the middle of scorpion lords combo on 1:57 & Pillar stance to dodge the venom/poison aoe attack on 0:58 and finally using rock spell to get that extra focus to do full 4 focus heavy R2 at the end… just wow!!!! Ongbal you truly are THE BEST soulslike and souls gamer in the whole world! Truly hats off to your amazing reaction skills and strategic plays utilising all the given mechanics of the game. Im glazing hard rn because I’m struggling soooo much on scorpion lord 😭 I’m out here using all my spells and transformations while he’s just full melee with perfect dodges and one rock spell godddamn!
I wouldn't like the movie if the main character was a Gary Stue. No obstacles to overcome and no character growth/development. Just a boring power fantasy. That's why the Star Wars sequels suck.

The character you play as is completely mute, you get 0 choice on how you interact with characters, and they literally don't have any growth/well written moments. Its fine for the game to pretty much just be an action power fantasy but don't act like its got some deep meaningful writing lol

That last pulverizing hit rewrote Scorpionlord's character coding so bad that for the rest infinite NG+s made him an NPC with one and only mission : " Not setting a single freaking toe in one kilometer perimeter around ONGBAL "

Beautiful! I love the Galeguard 2 piece set so much. Only thing i have problem wise is remembering the boss moves. I always hit the Resolute move too early, don't stun the boss and get hit afterwards lol
Now since everyone is not as good as this wonderful man right here, I will give yall an easy guide on how to cook this boss. 1. Do the infinite focus glitch (this glitch is essentially where you use ring of fire, walk to the edge, then transform into ashen slumber, and de transform without moving a single step. 2. Without moving back into the ring of fire, step away and go set whatever spells and transformations you normally use. (Note, do not rest, and if you die it resets.) 3. Invest in the survival stats like attack health and mana, and also get the thrust stance (just unlock it that’s it) and max out pluck of many and get everything until the last thing on immobilize. TACTIC: before you enter the boss fight near it, summon your clones. Before your clones hit anything, let the boss come close and immobilize. Once he is stuck, this is where the cycle begins. You need to use wandering wight on him, and then your thrust stance heavy on 3 charges. You need to keep a distance and use it throughout the fight. The focus points apply to transformations too (I recommend red tides) And it’s simple from there out, just keep hitting him with the 3 charges of your staff on thrust to push him back and dodge his moves and use your transformation when he’s low for the guaranteed kill! Edit: if this could be pinned, it would be helpful for all the people struggling to find a good way to beat the boss, as the method I have suggested is something I’ve failed to find covered by any other TH-camr.

I played against Yellow Loong first, so Scorpionlord was easier for me. His timings were better but I still spent like 45 minutes on him.

Definitely in the top 10 hardest bosses in the game probably even in top 3 to be honest.
This boss took me more tries than Yellow Loong and final boss. Compared to them the moveset is simpler but the damage is way less forgiving
I mean most people agree that it’s a top 5 hardest boss. The thing never staggers, hits like an absolute truck, poisons you, endless combos.
