I think your work is amazing and your explanation so clear and easy to follow. A great fan.
Wow~ beatiful Thank you for your video
Your video motivate me to study about good painting
I like the name ”Paint with Yupari” also, good choice. 👍
Yupari, I do appreciate you uploading those tutorials. Can you do one with glazing techniques?
Also the name of this series is " YuPaint" :)
Marid Khairullah I would have to do a multiple layer painting to glaze, but I actually have been glazing quite a bit in my own studio work so it’s a possibility! Thank you for watching and for the suggestion 😊
Loving the tutorials
Can you give demo of your studio set up and how deal with left over paint etc .
abbas dhami My studio is a complete mess 😅but I can talk about the left over paint! I actually paint almost every day and most of my colors take at least a couple days to dry so it all mostly gets used
Where did you get your palette?
Brandy Trompe Hi I bought the palette at a Plaza arts and crafts store. It is a New Wave Brand palette 🎨 the name is expressionist confident. Hope this helps!
Yet another very enjoyable video, I love your portrait videos, there are plenty of small details that I don't see with other TH-camrs. I'm learning a lot, Thank you 👍 I have just one question... is it OK to sign a master study?
Man, i just tried my first portrait in oils today and it was a mess. Everything looks muddy and gray.
I'm totally unmotivated to try it again.
Stick with it. It takes practice to get the blending right, the pressure of the strokes, the amount of paint you load onto your brush etc. etc. Alla Prima is harder than it looks. My oil portraits are a mess too, but I know it's doable, so I have to be patient. And determined.
@@littlejoe6025 Thanks for the encouragement mate. I think i'm gonna pratice some more color mixing with acrylics, so i make less mistakes when i try it in oil.
Hey I know the feeling! It takes quite some time to get used to oil paint. I agree that alla prima (wet on wet) is more difficult than classical. I’ll upload some more layered videos in the future! I was actually kinda frustrated with the painting I made in this video to be honest... This frustration is natural, just be true to yourself and enjoy what you do!
destroy walls with yupari.
Can I just point out, you don't pronounce the 't' in 'soften'! :-)
Y. Tu no pintas, tu iluminas !!!!!
P..s que no son lo mismo.
Same old stuff! Looks like as always you are not doing a portrait but simply copying a photo! Can I give you a tip? You always, ALWAYS reduce portrait painting to simply copying colored shapes and hence you always, ALWAYS commit the mistake all beginners make of understating the drama of the pose. To properly capture the drama of 3D in 2D you have to overstate all the various subtle tilts and angles of the head and figure and this you can only do by understanding the figure as a mass in 3D. Just copying colored shapes will NOT get you there as evidenced by the fact that the pictures you do now are every bit as bad as when you started.
P.s. Saludos !!!!!
You are right, this guy (Y) has a hugely inflated opinion of his own knowledge and abilities. He isn't going to listen to any criticism but I get so irritated listening to him I cant refrain from comments, which actually are well intended and I think would help him if, heaven forbid, he were to listen.
Regards

And I'll give you a tip. Insulting people and/or their abilities is not the way to give constructive criticism or helpful advice.
Saludos.
