I own 2010 Honda Fit Auto and believe transmission mount and possibly this(torque mount) could be compromised to some extent. I do have a minor thud when I shift from P to D and also have a weird vibration when starting the car when cold(in winter). It feels like vibration comes from the lower dash but as soon as RPM settles, vibration stops.
@@ranchofitge8 That would probably be a good idea. I have been reading Fit forums and owners report that transmission mount is usually the first one to go out, then torque mount/rear mount and the last one to go out is passenger side mount. At least the passenger mount is still in tact and I will need to check the rear mount as well. The only one I can't see is the transmission mount as it is under the battery tray, if I am not mistaking.
Hey, thanks for the video! My Fit (Jazz, in my country) stutters while the semi-auto downshifts 2-1 during traffic stops. I had the clutch replaced and the actuators fixed. Do you think i should also replace the engine mounts?
Do OEM rear mounts have oil in them? I noticed mine has oil on it and I don’t know if it’s from wind blowing oil from drain plug or if the mount is fluid filled?
As of right now this video is 5 months old, I see from previous responses you went with U62a. So after some time has passed would you still prefer the U62a or would you go with a stiffer mount?
I noticed that when you cranked it up the first time after install, it was basically a cold start at 1200 ish RPM. I assume it would subside after coming down to operating temp
I have a question. At :24 sec thru :30 seconds theres this weird bolt thing that's like nothing ive ever seen. It's round and I can't put a wrench or socket on it. How in the $#&@ did you get it off?
I tried using a socket wrench, an open ended wrench, banging on the side of it with a screw driver and hammer, twisting it with vise grips, nothing worked. I finally spent 2 hours cutting the bolt in three pieces with a hack saw blade... And ordered a new bolt from honda. The bolt rusted itself solid into the engine mount.
Just put mine in and 1,2 is like butter. Downshifting is 😍
For anyone that has a rolling jack, don’t bring it in from the front, bring it in from a wheel well…no issue with movement
Yay! Fit videos!!
Excellent video Thank you for the pointers. Keep making these videos. Super super helpful. Thanks again

Yes, I'd change them all

Only if they need to be changed
@@ranchofitge8 Any other possible causes? I'll get them all checked🤔 This is my first car and i lose sleep sometimes over these issues :(
@@alianac1086 what do you mean by stutters?
@@ranchofitge8 When it downshifts from 2 to 1, i feel a noticeable kick. Sometimes when stationary and putting it in reverse, this kick can be massive

Don't know

I wouldn't go stiffer, and it's great now

It's a regular bolt you just have to wiggle the socket inside

awesome good job
Everyone I know that has installed that rear dog bone mount immediately removed it, too much nvh cabin vibrations lol.
It's minor for me, at least. After driving 50 miles, it has settled. Only vibration is on first gear
@@ranchofitge8 what durometer is it ? come to think of it they used the beatrush mount which might be a stiffer material
