Amazing, thank you so much! I wanted to add that if you install this with DaVinci open youll have some issues. I had to close it, and rerun the vinyl exe. Hey! Thanks man!, appreciate that! And yeah, with the track height you can also shift and use the mousewheel up/down to increase and decrease the track height 😄

my workaround to create a spin Up effect with only this spin down button is the following. First reverse the clip so the End and Beginning will flip. Then apply the spin down effect where you need a spin up (likely at the end of the reversed clip that used to be the beginning). Then I rendered a bounce to a different track so i can reverse the content of the bounced clip back to normal.

hello, great video, I followed the steps but it doesn't show up for me on effects at all even after installing it. Are free plugins not useable even on a free version of davinci resolve 18?
When you can’t see it, try closing and re-opening resolve, then it should show up. If that doesn’t help, go to the top left of your screen (in resolve) then click on ‚DaVinci Resolve‘, then ‚preferences‘ and on the left side you should see a tab named ‚audio plug-ins‘ - see if it shows up there and if it is activated or not, if not, activate it!:)
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals ty, I found it, but somehow it doesn't need to be activated, it actually crashed my laptop when I finally got it up and running. Does it automatically activate after signing in?
@@inari_asmr yes, plug-ins that you install activate by default! if they don’t show up in the effects tab it’s probably because you had Resolve open while installing, then you just need to restart the program!:)

Hey! Great video, amazing timing since I today was just looking into this and this video came out 3 weeks ago! Anyway, I had a question. After I do the effect and continue to edit my video, I can still here the plugin turntable playing & its a bit annoying. Is there a way to stop that?
Hey, there’s an easy fix to that, in the Fairlight page, in the fox panel where you added the effect you can now see the plugin above the ‚+‘ icon - just hover your mouse over that plugin, then just select (I believe it‘s a red dot 🔴 icon, but not too sure out of my head right now) to disable the plugin - before exporting just simply turn it back on again. You won’t hear the humming after exporting, it’s just a weird glitch while editing because the turntable is still ‚spinning‘! This will solve your problem and thank you so much for the comment!🙏🏽
Thanks. Nice to finally have that option. But its pretty sad, that they don't have a spin-up too / only. Probably its possible by making a compound clip after applying the effect and then cropping the beginning where it spins down or something. Also its sad that the automation curve is basically linear and doesn't have an easing curve.
Increase your track height, then you‘ll be able to see. Just simply hover over the track, hold shift and use mouse wheel to increase/ decrease track height
Does anyone know hot to make the spin down duration shorter? Because, when I'm adjusting the duration by using the nobs, it only cuts off the end of the spin down, but it doesn't actually make it shorter.
Hi! I installed the plugin, it is authorized and the pop-up appears on the screen and when I hit Spin Down, it does. My problem is that when I go to add it in to the time line, in the pull down under INPUT1, everything is highlighted except Plugins. Hey Carlos, as mentioned you can’t set keyframes with this plugin. But, what you can do is either automate the on/off button the same way as in the example, or select the part of the song that you want the effect on, cut it out and drag it to audio layer 2 - then go over to the Fairlight page and just apply the effect to the second audio track - that way, the rest of the song on layer 1 will remain unaffected!:)
