Unpopular opinion- The reg season never shakes out like the post-season because players sandbag a lot in the regular season. A lot of players are afraid to give their full effort and losing or ending up a talking point on some sports review program looking like a try-hard. Thats why so many players shrink these days in the playoffs, and teams surprise us in the post-season. The real stars of the year rise to top while the others that are used to fluctuating on the gas pedal find it hard to find any consistency because they think they can just turn it on at will. I'm not one of those people who think the modern nba is less talented. I notice a lot of pick-up basketball mentality and body-language in some of the "stars" these days.

The point of having home court advantage is to have played more or at least as many home games as your opponent no matter how many games the series goes . With the regural format if the series ends in 5 or 7 the team with the advantage plays one more home game , and if it ends in 4 or 6 both teans play the same amount of hone games . With the 2-3-2 fornat if the series ends in 5 the team with the disadvantage actually plays one more home game .It may slightly increase the chances of an upset but if we wanna be objective it ' s unfair to the team who earbed hone court advantage during the regurak season .

I've been saying that for the longest time! Or the Sixers need to work on Joel Embiids 3 pointer and have Simmons play power forward like Draymond Green while of course Simmons keep working on his shooting. Sixers just need a actual 3 point shooting point guard, someone who can create his own shot and can catch and shoot.

Did Ben Simmons originally play point guard in college?
He has the prototypical body type and skill set of a Small Forward. If the 76ers can get a better PG (what fultz was supposed to be) and move Simmons to the 3, his lack of a jumpshot shouldn't be that much of a problem at that position.

I think the playoffs are perfect just how the are. But if I were to change them, I think the first round should be 1-6 2-5 3-4 matchups with the 7-8 seeds having a best of 3 or maybe single elimination. This year the 7 seeds are good but normally they’re bad and it would be one-three decently entertaining games.
Also, as Massachusetts guy I felt your pain in the first half of the Cs game. They had tyreke Evans looking like John wall. Our interior defense was garbage. I knew it would turn around because Indy was basically only scoring on fast breaks and plays without defense but still.

I would like like the playoffs to be one game because it keeps the playoffs fresh and unpredictable, like be real for the past 3 years you could guess who would be in the finals, Lebron vs Warriors. If the whole playoff turn into 1 game, they could boost ticket sales and bring out the best of each player and I get what you’re saying about having teams like the jazz and magic in the finals but I think seeing a different team every year could bring more fans like March madness does.

I think the NBA should go back to the 2-3-2 format. Especially since it’s only one playoff series compared to the entire playoffs, plus it’s the BIGGEST series at that. The championship round should hold a distinction over every other round. And you also hit it on the head, the team with home court has the final two games at home, the whole point of having an advantage is so the final game is played on your turf. That’s just me tho, keep up the work your videos are great

Every series would be interesting if they were 3-3-1 throughout the playoffs. I did really like the 2-3-2 format because if you did steal a home game from the higher seed your reward should be the ability to close out at home.
Honestly if the NBA isn't going to move to the 1-16 seeding then maybe have the first round should be shortened or even dropping the 8 seed all together and giving the 1 a bye week

I completely disagree about what you said about the 2-3-2. I do think it's worse than 2-2-1-1-1 but, because it's almost impossible for the weaker team to win that way. It's very hard to win 3 games in a row and the team without home court advantage will definitely drop a game

    • @amitmandel411
