This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I am totally new to making molds and using resin. I had the idea that I can get creative and make my own 16mm Gauges for my ears. I wanted to make several at a time just in case they don’t come out right. Soooooo, transfer tape made a huge difference. I could not only tack em down before pouring but lay them out symmetrically instead of the jumbled mess I tried before. Now everything looks fantastic!!!! You are the bestest! 😊
I use a measuring cup to find its volume (I use rice). Since rice, sand, resin, and silicone all have different densities, I only pay attention to volume. Even the different parts of resin or silicone have different densities so a scale is useless.
Hi!!! OMG I loved your video keep it up, new subscribers here. Just one question; what liquid did you use the second time when you added the black color? was it only resin?
I have no idea if you’ll see this because you posted this 8 months ago but can you place a silicone mat down and stick the housing to that? Will the silicone im curing stick to the silicone mat?
You can do that it won’t stick to the Matt but you’re going to have to put a barrier around it because it’ll leak through so like hot glue or something like that

Awesome . I wanted to make some Gauge molds for a friend just never got around to it . Thanks for watching 😊
The bat you made looks so much better than the one you made it from.
Right , I’m obsessed with it

I have been looking at that!! Love the bat too!
Thank you .. the housing is amazing and I really love the silicone so 5 ⭐️ for me
Love it so much
Thank you
You can use rice
You can use silicone to mix it and stuff it won't stick to it? I thought silicone stuck to silicone, like on your stir stick
Nope it peels right off I forgot to take a video of it peeling off

@@resinfanatics thank you so much! Would you suggest a hot glue barrier along with using the double sided tape?
Never mind I found them

Thanks for letting me know 😁
This technique did not work for me. What I was making floated up and the silicone leaked out the sides. 😢
im sorry you can try using a hot glue gun and put a layer on the outside of the housing
