Reminds me of drinking beer, smoking pot, under a black light with posters on the wall, listening to Goose Creek wide open, singing to the top of our lungs!
This is one of my all time faves... Brings back memories from when I was a kid. I was raised on Goose Creek Symphony and Black Oak Arkansas... Is that good or bad? LOL...
These guys are the real deal. Proud, authentic American music from the heart. Their authenticity rings thru from the 1st note. I remember when they broke up in the 70s--I read about it in Billboard magazine. The brief article said matter-of-factly that the members had tired of the road and were going back to their farms. Glad to see 'em alive & very much kickin'. I love any music that has quality & sincerity to it, like theirs does. GCS + Nickel Creek=A Concert from heaven!!
back in the beginning of the 70's...me and my brother and sister in law would be listening to the goosecreek album...lid back on a sunny day....it's timeless
I remember being a small kid in the 70s riding trough the woods in my dads jeep just having fun with goose creek coming out the speakers thanks for being a cool part of my child hood and some really good times. I,m still listening and I,m 48 and still dumb after all these years lol thanks guys and don't stop and may peace be with you as will
That country rock sound a la "Teach your children" it's a thing always drive me crazy. And they are between the greatest. Evocative and a medicine for my soul. Thanks for sharing. Paul.
I was at their only Phoenix concert at the old Music Box in 1773, they opened for doug kershaw and they were great. I have their 33 rpm record which they sold at the concert, and play it often.
One of my favorite bands from the early days, thought they had gone away and I'm very happy to find them still picking and singing. Some of the best times in my live included their tunes.
I first saw these guys at an open air concert in Seneca, SC in the summer of 72. Later that summer they played at Charlotte Memorial Stadium with the Allman Bros, Johnny Winter and some others but were the highlight of the concert. Had some great times with the music and concerts.
I am so glad I never neede to pawn shop my album's. I got welcome ro goosecreek since I was 16..and I'm now 57! this sound is timeless and makes me feel forever young.......grazie boys
Charlie and the band played three years at my home by Etowah river in Maplewood in rome Georgia.......greatest childhood memories......miss you guys Anna Tate McGhee daughter of reed McGhee and host of the greatest goose concerts in rome ga
I will be returning to Goose Creek, SC from Hayward, CA... after only 30 years. I miss that Country living, and the friendly people, there. I am hoping to find me a girlfriend, there, in Goose Creek! :')
got the album with the story of a piece of clay..on the 1970"s back cover.....good laid back album.....lovely stories....imagine lying in a Kentucky blue-grass picknick field...i't.."s a nice 78 fahrenheit...and from your stereo!!! this sounds the backround....in the breeze.......yep....good same atmosphere memories in Volunteer Park...in Seattle...when Hendrix was still alive....I"ve brought his grave flowers...in Redmond about....somebody busted the cement-bust guitar!!!I brought Tiger Lily"s
Funny thing, even though I was a "city kid", this kind of music hits me square in the memory bank. In "MY Day" it was called Bluegrass. LOVE IT!!!! These boys know how to sing 'n pick!! xo N
Can you have a discussion without spewing insults? Please slow down and take the time to comprehend what you read and hear. I didn't comment on your "proved" comment. Now for Goose Creek music..Their music is not for everyone which is fine. Because you don't appreciate their music doesn't mean that they are lacking in musicianship or songwriting ability. These men have recorded dozens of records over the last 50 years and have shared the stage with the Allman Bros, Hendrix and countless others.
@ScreamoGuy123 You may want to reconsider your evaluation of Goose Creek Symphony music after you relisten to the lyrics with an open, non-judgemental mind. For example, you say "unlike this band that talk about blue trees". If you would take the time and listen you would see that they are talking about trees in BLOOM, not blue trees.
Ballin like mvp🗣️🗣️🗣️

Sounds great, 'cept for that one gitfiddle that's out of tune a little.
