Brand new golfer here that has only been going to the range a couple times a week for a couple months, and the instruction you’ve given in the Ben hogan videos has brought upon my first eureka moment in golf. I was striking the ball so purely and far I could hardly believe it. Hard to put into words how thankful I am for these tips 🙏🏼
Well done, Brian - I'm very glad to know that my instruction has helped you to such an extent!! Thanks for sharing your success, keep it crispy, and have fun out there!! TS

Did you not get the memo???!!! It's happening tonight at 8:45 pm EDT! Now, so as not to get your hopes up too much, it's only a few holes because of a bad storm that decided to roll in just as we were getting started, but we had a good bit of fun with it anyway before we literally had to sprint off the course LOL! I certainly plan on doing more of these as my schedule and the course's availability allow! Ask and ye shall receive! Tom
Everything about this channel is awesome. On paper (one guy talking to a camera about the golf swing) it could be a disaster. In reality, there’s an entertaining fella who really knows his stuff, and it’s mesmerizing. Hands down, this is the only, repeat only, golf instruction necessary. I got the main aspect of the swing down and am hitting much straighter. Next is to work on keeping the right arm against the body; I seem to have traded straight for a loss of yards-after last year, I would have been satisfied, but recently having found your videos, that will not do. Thanks so much, Tom! After (literally) 40 years in the desert (more like 43), I’m (figuratively) seeing the land of milk and honey in the near distance!
I was taught this by an older gentleman by the name of jimmy Gregory, who was a Hogan follower. This was around 1963 and all his instructions revolved around Hogans Book. What it taught me first and foremost was accurate pure shots. The club comes in to the ball on a very shallow attack angle with very little divot. Tinkered a bit with other methods but always returned to this style of motion. It can't be beaten for accuracy and at Age 69 I still hit it out there with my driver, 245 would be a good yearly average. Thanks Sagutto for all the wonderful vids which contain more information than what was available in 1963. Playing my most consistent golf ever once again, fun, fun!!!
And if I recall correctly from a previous comment, shooting *_under_* your age. Now *THAT's* fun!!! Yes - it's the simplest and most easily repeatable way to strike a golf ball well. And as for those divots, as Moe Norman said, "Bacon strips, not pork chops"....😂 Thanks for another great comment!! Tom
@@SagutoGolf thanks Tom, as a side note, the most difficult part of the motion for me and I'm sure for others would be the release. If you can manage to hold the angle back to the ball, make the strike then release its game over. Very hard to do if one doesn't understand the sequence.
started Saguto in May, went out and shot a 104 the first time.....one month later I shot a 77 from the blues with 3 penalty shots on an Arnol Palmer Championship course here in Nevada.....LISTEN TO THIS MAN....Great Stuff!!
Best TH-cam golf teacher. Agreed it takes sometime to make changes but we have never hit the ball further in our life. At 60 we hit it further now than we were at our 40’s.
I sincerely appreciate your kind words, Quirino, and I am very glad to know that my instruction is performing well for you!! 💪💪 Thank you so much for sharing your improvement and keep up the great work!! Tom

Tom, thank you for sharing your tips and lessons online! I used to play a good bit, but life has gotten in the way so I only get a few rounds a year these days. I've been watching your videos for about a month now, and have seen huge results in just two rounds of golf. The first round was a captains choice so I didn't have a score, but could tell I hit the ball better. Last week I played again and shot the lowest score I've had in over 10 years. I went from shooting in the upper 90's to low 100's the past few years to an 86 last week! It was the most fun I've had on the course in a long time!
That's Fantastic, Josh!! When I speak of _"helping folks make the most out of the game they love in a simplified and body-friendly manner"_ , the underlying theme always running in the background is " *FUN* ". I want people to enjoy the game, because that's what the 99.999% of us who don't play it for a living ought to be doing! As such, I absolutely love comments like yours and I truly appreciate you sharing!! Best regards, Tom
I've been golfing for 30 years. Since finding your channel, it's helped me shave strokes and I really appreciate that. Your humor is great too. Thank you Tom.

I love that Ben Hogan series. More of that, please. Early on I read 5 lessons from him and was enthusiastic about his philosophy. Now with your videos I have found the missing piece of the mosaic to experience on 18 holes the fun factor I was always looking for. Last week I played a new course +13 and another course I hadn't played for years, with +14. And for the first time ever, I had an Eagle Chance in each round!! Tom, please continue. I tell everyone I meet how convincing your videos are.
I love doing these Hogan videos, John, so I'm very glad to know that you are enjoying and benefiting from them! There is just so much great stuff we can learn from the master's swing!! I'm also thrilled about the success you are experiencing as a result of these lessons and your great work in implementing them! Thanks so much for sharing, and let's make one of those Eagle putts!!! 😆 Tom
Great lessons. I'm an athletic 40 year old who should hit long, but come up short all the time. All arms, no hip rotation, poor hinge. If you feel like you should be longer, are swinging hard, it's probably because you are disconnected. I used this tip, it forces wrist to hinge, torso to tilt and rotate, stops body sway and makes balls fly straight as it's impossible to go outside in if your right bicep is tucked against your side. The key is that right arm, don't let it leave your side, even when loading up for driver. Keep up this theme across lessons - love it!
Hi Jon, You are absolutely correct about that trail arm, and I'm very glad to know that this lesson video helped you! Since you enjoyed this one, I thought I'd let your know that due to their popularity I've combined my recent Hogan lesson videos into a playlist series on this channel. Hey Tom I hope you read this . This Ben Hogan group of videos is fantastic. It feels so effortless. I'm talking it to the course tomorrow afternoon unless I get rained out. I'll let you know how I do. Thanks pal , you're the man!
I'm in! I learned how to play golf with Ben's 5 lessons book 30 years ago. Back them it was grip, set up........and all the other technical stuff. Tried this concept at the range today and hit some really nice STRAIGHT SHOTS (not all) that felt great and repeatable. Yeah, chilly dipped some but I believe that when I get the muscle memory down I will drop some strokes. Thanks!
Welcome to "the dark side", Eric, where the spoils of "conventional" instruction - chronic inconsistency, physical pain, and endless frustration - yield to the fruits of effortless and body-friendly enjoyment of this great game for a lifetime. 😆 I'm very glad to have you on board!! Great lesson Tom! This lesson is very useful for me as it teaches me to use the arm properly. I learn a lot from each and every gold lesson videos. Thanks.
Tom this particular instruction lesson is so complete with very clear explanations from you & I find it & all your comments to any queries incredibly helpful & golf 'profound'. I keep going over this lesson & your comments repeatedly it is just so good. I have noticed the very occasional whinging Smart Arse complaintants about you referencing Mr Hogan for your method & S&T. As you very clearly state repeatedly that Hogan wasn't a S&T swing but he has so much of what we want to achieve in our swings. I have also noted on many top of swing backswing photos of Mr Hogan he does achieve a very S&T weight on front side position before any downswing movement. Look at Hogan in this top of swing position in this video @ 1.08 (& many others elsewhere that I have seen) it is a very classic looking S&T position....it is beautiful to see this position in Mr Hogan's swing. *Just for a bit of knowledge that I recently read someone asked Mr Hogan whom he thought had the best swing on Tour or elsewhere & he emphatically answered "Mickey Wright best swing I have ever seen...pure balance, power & perfection" he said...her swing is just beautiful & after reading about her complete dominance of Women's golf in the 50's she truely was the Hogan of Women's golf & also Majors won. Having watched many videos of her playing I just can't help thinking that she would've given even the top men pro's of the time a run for there money even off mens Tee. She only won 13x Majors & just 82xLPGA victories holy fcuk!!!! She only just passed away recently. www.usga.org/content/usga/home-page/articles/2020/02/legendary-champion-mickey-wright-dies.html & also en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mickey_Wright regards & grateful, Mark Plunkett

Great lesson Tom! What made it all click for me is learning how the right shoulder works downward from the top of the backswing and how there is separation between the hips and shoulders. I really had a tendency to swing over the top and this movement solved it. I really think it would do the same for all your subscribers if you did a video on the right shoulder moving down! Keep up the great work x
I'm glad your downswing path benefited so dramatically from this lesson, Harry! There is just so much we can learn from properly analyzing Mr. Hogan's swing. Thanks for sharing!! Tom
New habits create an uneasy feeling. Leaving the old form to embrace the new form. Just like establishing new healthier eating habits. Always keeping the left arm straight while swinging the club. When we first stretch we are limited to the extent that we can stretch. As we continue to stretch we can further extend the stretch. I’m hopeful to possibly reach Hogan’s form in the backswing. Like the old vaudeville acts of the early 1900’s , if you were to get a room for the night and a meal 🥘 you had to have a truly great act. You had to possess the desire to be a winner.
And that, Frank, is why I say, "If it feels weird....good!" We're making a change, and those ghosts of swings past are stubborn critters who don't let go easily. Cheers! Tom
@SagutoGolf I’ve thanked you in the past but I have do it again you changed my golf life!! I played yesterday, I had never been under par let alone get birdies. I felt like a pga player with great scores I finished the front 9 +2!! Thank you again!!

Great video, also on the finishing up high will make a difference in the follow through will cause the ball to go higher. If you finish low will cause the ball to go low and lose distance. Ben Hogan follow through was very high in almost every golf swing. Thanks

I'm not finding "being loose" a problem with this swing. As a matter of fact, loose has always been my enemy for any consistency; however, I don't want to put anyone down here; vernacular is always a challenge when trying to describe "feel". Let me substitute the word "soft" for loose (better word for me) -- I like soft wrists, a natural feeling "pop" coming down into the ball on-plane, as opposed to an off-plane-flip. Here's what Tom Saguto has done for me, taught me (I've been practicing his swing for a minute): PLANE = SPINE TILT MAINTENANCE; Tom's lead leg weighted, flatter back swing, vertical drop via hip-toward-the-target-rotation (I hesitate to use the word "tilt", it does not fit into my feeling vernacular) is only possible for me when my spine angle is maintained through impact. Here's the "connection" to that last sentence: it is f'ing "CONNECTION!" When I glue my arms -- "glued" is a feeling term, not so much mechanics for me -- I have a much easier time maintaining spine angle; you see, I love to throw my hips forward as opposed to rotate; now I'm really not "loose", I'm stuck, spine angle gone! Tom's weighted lead leg, let the hips go via trail-leg-straighten, lead shoulder pointed "down" at the ball, trail palm pointing at the ball -- no wrist rolling -- (45% hips, 45% shoulders) with arms "glued" to the sides of my pecs gives me a warning-feel if I'm coming OUT of my swing (spine tilt lost). Now my timing is so much better, because I'm on the proper path going up, the only way I can be on-path coming down AROUND A PROPER SPINE ANGLE: "if you can't get it up, you can't get down!". From the top of Tom's swing, I can do what I call (for feeling description) a "sit move". It feels like I'm sitting my ass down over my weighted left leg, something I could never feel correctly before Saguto Golf; this keeps me behind and "away" from (another feeling word) the ball with a natural feeling "drop of the hands" I don't have to think about as I ROTATE (damn it Jeff rotate! *&(^^&*(!!!); but most importantly: I maintain spine angle! Now I can feel or let soft wrists gravity-whip the shit out of the ball... occasionally... I'm a work in progress -- and 62 years old by the way. Tom has improved my game; I think he may be the BEST in GOLF SWING "FEEL"-COACHING I've ever listened to. Anybody can vomit out mechanics equations, few indeed can teach "feel". Excellent job Tom! Jeff
Wow Jeff!! I truly appreciate you taking the time to summarize what "feel vs. real" means to you, and how you have gone about the process of figuring out and incorporating your own personal feels from what is conveyed in these lessons. This is great stuff that every "feel golfer" ought to understand when processing instruction and trying to take ownership of a particular move or swing component. In other words, my feels are not necessarily your feels or their feels, so we each need to activate our own unique "feel interpreter" in order to translate and recode what we've been taught into a feel language that we ourselves can grasp and deploy. *BRILLIANT!* Thanks very much for your kind words, and keep up the great work!! Tom
Thank-you for your great explanation of the golf swing. I am improving everyday. Your elbow explanation really helped me to understand the concepts you explained.
50 years old and struggled with my swing for at least last 10 years. Injured my hamstring 3weeks ago, but had to finally play again yesterday, even though I'm still sore. I wanted to take it easy (less effort, easy swing). I watched this video and one other, and went out on league night. No range work. I was "finally" hitting the ball so pure again. Irons felt amazing. 3 and 5 wood felt great too. The hinge and gorilla glue arms were key. Need to work on this with my driver but I was so happy to finally hit good irons. It was the most fun I had golfing in a long time. Thank you so much. Love your teaching style
That's AWESOME, louofm1!! Thanks so much for sharing, keep up the great work, and after you're done beating up on those folks in your league please send them my way!!.....😆 Tom
Love it. I read that Hogan book over and over. Endless TH-cam footage of that amazing swing. It’s great to have you translate the elements of his swing. Great hat man! Thank you.
Thanks Jeffrey! There's a lot of great information in that book, but there have also been many misinterpretations that have led numerous golfers - and their ball flight - astray. I do my best to take what Mr. Hogan conveys in the book as his "feels", apply it to the reality of what he actually did in his swing, and translate it into something we all - including myself - can learn well from. I truly appreciate your recognizing what I'm seeking to accomplish through my "Hogan Series"!! Cheers! Tom
SagutoGolf Went out with the Hogan refresh mentality, arms glued to sides, maintaining V etc. no chicken wings. Hit some really clean shots. Took half swings that were really crisp and satisfying. It’s funny how we can slide backwards from these basics. Thanks for the great interpretation!

Tom, i have asked for different instructors to do what the immortal BOBBY JONES did in his instructional videos from 1931. Comedian of the time, joe brown, jokingly said to bobby, you play great because you're always in the fairway. So bobby played Joe's drive, which was all over the place. One was a ball almost completely buried in a bunker, one was a bare ground, one behind a tree, one in shallow creek water by the green, one in rough that was really down in 5 inch rough, one in a deep divot, and one behind another players ball. Pryor to 1951 you couldn't lift clean place on the green, so bobby chipped over the ball directly in the cup. Witnesses have said he did all this in one take. He recorded several 66 rounds in competition which stunned the golf world. Anyway i got off topic, really enjoy your videos and you are on target. Thanks in advance if this is not possible .
Ag - Sadly I do not presently have an opportunity to play golf as often as I'd like to, so I can probably find most of those spots and lies you referenced just by playing my own ball.....😆😆😆 I'm glad you are enjoying my channel's content!! Cheers! Tom
@@SagutoGolf thank you for the reply and yes finding or creating situations that golfers find themselves in is rarely found in instruction, i believe you are the one to show how to save par from crazy situations. You have the best instruction for golfers of all levels. Appreciate your videos. It is said that s student must see a tip or a word that resonates with them, you do that with each video.
Great lesson Tom. It is a never ending golf swing debate, a flying right elbow ( Nicklaus and Palmer) or a torso attached elbow (Hogan) it all depends what best works for you. To me the flying elbow allows an arm elbow fluctuation more difficult to control, and you have to create the lag getting the wrist into the game, in the end the arm needs to be attached again to your turning torso; while in Hogan’s elbow lag comes naturally, your torso guides from the beginning the whole swing sequence and most important explosive ball hitting comes also naturally from the created lag. Mr.Hogan best ever golf player has so much to show. Thanks again, Great lesson!!
Good stuff again man. The flying wedge video helped but I'm still flipping when I watch myself on video. I don't know what else to do. I'll try this. Else might be time to sell/burn my golf clubs.-- Update #1 - I tried to hit full swings too quickly, I knew better. I took a step back and took my time, working on half swings with the flying wedge idea, no forced wrist movement at impact. It's been AMAZING. I've had the most consistent pitches ever 3 days in a row, hitting 35-50 yard shots with my approach wedge. I'm going to take my time and SLOWLY build on this. Keep the upper arms connected, keep the club face pointed down, rotate the chest back, hands passing over the right foot on the way back around (hula hoop golftec tip), then let the body fall forward and rotate the hips, then rotate the chest around. Let the arms fall back into place and around, do nothing with the wrists, and like magic the club hits it very cleanly and consistently every time. The only time I mess up is when I try to activate my arms and force forward shaft lean. I'm trying to get more forward shaft lean after a lifetime of flipping, so it will take a lot of time and work. But I've had amazing results after just 3 days of this. I'm not sure how I will build up to full swings like in this video, but we'll see how it goes. That feeling of the right arm punching through impact without doing anything with the hands/wrists will be very foreign to me, but if I slowly build from pitching this way, there's a good chance it will start to feel natural after awhile. Thanks Tom, this Ben Hogan series has been great and possibly saved me from stopping golf for awhile, I was out of ideas. Update #2 - I just went to a bigger field and hit an 8 iron 1/2 to 3/4 swing on rough grass. AMAZING RESULTS. I hit my target 105 yards away many times, 99% of the shots went straight, effortlessly. It was still a pitch swing, not even a full swing yet. But on some of them I focused on rotating the body and chest faster in the downswing, still using the flying wedge with no attempt to break the wrists. I tried to feel it more in my right elbow and upper left arm, with upper arms still glued to the torso. I have to say it was the best iron session I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE, PERIOD. I've never hit so consistently and so effortlessly. I literally drove home with my jaw dropped, still in shock at how consistently well I hit and how easy it was. These past few practice sessions have been amazing. The ball just launches off the club in the sweet spot almost every time, it feels so good! Golf is fun again, I can't wait to see if I can build more on this and make a full iron swing out of this and even driver. I'm still not sure how to proceed from here, I will just continue with it and eventually start reaching back farther and rotating faster until I feel that "punch" feeling from the right elbow. I think I'd rather just play this way on the course, using long irons to effortlessly pitch 120+ yards until I reach the green, instead of unpredictable and full effort flippy iron swings.
The Diary of the Systematic Rehabilitation of a FFF'er (FORMER Functional Flipper)!! Wow, DJ-Flights - that is great stuff! I love your methodical process because a change of this magnitude cannot be instantly incorporated (as you initially learned). This is exactly how I would teach someone who has been flipping their entire golfing life! Yes - absolutely you can put just a few irons in the bag and "flying wedge" yourself around the course with half shots. I think you may be surprised by the results, and I also think that when facing longer shots in an on-course situation that you'll gradually find yourself dialing it up to three-quarters and beyond with success. Keep up the great work, and if you haven't already done so, please consider enrolling in the SagutoGolf online school. For a mere $10/month it'll really get you on the fast track to owning this swing through short, simple, step-by-step videos. Actually, it's perfect for an incremental learner like yourself! Here's a link if you'd like more info: saguto.golf/p/golf-swing-simplified-tom-saguto-pga. Thanks for sharing your experiences and success! Tom PS: If you plan on putting out another update to your continuing flying wedge series - and I hope you do - please create a new post, copy and paste your above story into it, and then add your new experience to it. Otherwise I may not see it because I typically only have time available to view comment threads from the past day or two. Thanks!!
Thanks Tom. The Ben Hogan series is fantastic. Went to the range yesterday and worked on, what I like to call it, "Right Elbow Magic." It was unbelievable. Crushing it crispier than KFC. Absolutely amazing. As we told you before, your are by far, the best PGA instructor on TH-cam. S&T has transformed my ball striking to a new level.
Right Elbow Magic - I love it, Gregory!! I truly appreciate your overly kind comments and support, and I'm so glad you're having such a blast out there!! Please spread the word about SagutoGolf - there's a lot of great stuff going on here!! Stay crispy, my friend! Tom
Hello Erich, I truly appreciate your kind words and I am very glad that my channel's instruction content is helping you! Thank you for sharing your success and keep up the great work! I wish you a Blessed Christmas and holiday season! Tom
Great video Tom,After my lesson Thursday I had a bid of a problem getting the right elbow to stay close I will continue to work on it.Your the best Thanks Bob D
Glad you enjoyed this video, Bob! I've just combined my recent Hogan lessons into a series which you will find here: th-cam.com/play/PLV62KxT7Mp7IyNDRp0hZK1F1OScdXx-u1.html. Keep watching these videos and you'll pick up a valuable tip or a visual that will help. Also, make a routine of sticking a tee or a glove between your upper right arm and chest for a portion of your practice sessions in order to ingrain the feeling of that connection. Many top level pros continue to do that same drill - it's that important! Thanks, Tom
I had given up on golf. Could not build a consistent swing. Tried the Ben Hogan swing for first time today and boom! My shots are traveling farther and my contact is solid. Thanks!
So then, pjpalpant - did we rescue you from the cliff?? Welcome back to this great game. Now get out there and enjoy it!! I'm very glad this lesson helped you. Thanks so much for sharing!! Tom
I'm a new arrival to golf and I have been studying Sam Snead and John Daly. I so appreciate all the how-to videos out there. Thank you for sharing your knowledge especially your optimism that regular Joes like me can hit a golf ball correctly. God bless.
I appreciate your very kind words, and welcome to this great game!! I'd like to briefly make you aware of my online school as that is where the most structured opportunity for learning resides. Hi Tom, Thanks for your videos. Went to the range today and tried your suggestions. I had a string of amazing shots with my 8 iron. and a handful of great ones with my five iron. My two main swing thoughts were, point my left shoulder at the ball (which I used to do well but had forgotten), and throw the watermelon. Obviously, it is new so I had a few where I literally don't even know where the ball went, but I definitely feel like I'm on to something.
That's great, Neil!! As I've mentioned previously, you would do well to give the online school a try if you really want to get this swing down quickly. Based on your comments here you're already beginning to experience the tremendous possibilities it holds for your game! Keep up the great work! Tom
I'm glad to know that this helped you, D H! A swing change of any significance will almost always feel mechanical when first implemented, but when we put in the necessary time and begin to take ownership it gradually becomes second nature. Cheers! Tom
I'm 62 years old and have been trying to figure out the Hogan Secret for many years due to the fact that my first set of irons were Hogan Signature Cameos, Miss those as much as my deceased wife, 02.22.62-06.28.2020. You, in one video, explained the whole concept and showed me EXACTLY what I was doing wrong. As soon as I'm able, I am purchasing your whole course just so I can REALLY KICK THE CRAP OUT OF MY BROTHER AND NEPHEWS ON THE COURSE! NEVER STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING!
I am so sorry about your wife, Charles... No worries - I'm going to keep posting content and there may even be another Hogan episode coming soon! I look forward to hearing about those beatdowns of your brother and nephews!! Thanks for your kind words and support! Tom
I just started playing again after multiple back surgeries 15 years ago. I am Trying to learn a new swing and I appreciate your videos greatly!Thank you for the simplicity. As you said there will be great shots and wtfshots, my round on Friday proved that! I had an eagle putt on a par 5 and took an 8 on a par 4. The whole day was erratic but encouraging.
Welcome back to the game, Big Mike!! It looks to me like you are approaching this with the perfect attitude. Keep working through the process and enjoy the journey - including the random WTF's!! The results are already beginning to show, and you'll only continue to improve with your great attitude!! Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!! Tom
Bro... you are killing it. Quickly climbing up my list of favorite golf tips channel. Do you do any reviews? Not sure how old this is, but I'll ask you on a newer one. Again GREAT GREAT STUFF
I'm very glad to know that my instruction content and style are resonating with you, @gcoffey223!! What are you referring to with regard to "reviews"? Feel free to clarify in a new comment on another video as there's a higher likelihood that I'll see it. Thanks, Tom
@@SagutoGolf Pretty much, review and give your thoughts on bslls, clubs, etc. Your insights and articulation are top shelf. Taking it to the course today. Whatever you make, we will watch!!
I appreciate that, Chris!! I am flattered that you see some elements of Mr. Jones in some of my videos! Of course you may perhaps find absolutely no evidence of him in others...😆 By the way, I have heard from others that my recent "Caddyshack" video lesson conjured up notions of Mr. Jones' fluid swing style. Hogan series has really been the first swing that I have been able to understand and translate into really confident bombing drives and scorching fairways woods. I'm delivering so much more speed through the ball. Slowly bringing that speed through my irons as well now. It takes time but once I felt it then I found it easy to repeat. I'm very happy with the basics I've learned and once we find out what the new normal looks like in the UK I will be having a look at the On Line School. Only one thing I disagree with I wouldn't say it feels crispy, I feel it's more buttery! I came 4th place (net) in my club championship last Sunday. My highest finish in a club major by 10 positions.
Well played, Corynsboy!! Congrats on your best finish (so far...)!! Thanks for your kind words and for sharing your success! And I take no issue with "buttery". Buttery is just fine LOL!! Cheers! Tom

Can you do some course vlogs Tom? I’d love to see you play a course and hear your thoughts as you make your way through a few holes
Yes, this would be ver nice.
Word!
Tom
@@SagutoGolf I saw the course vlog video, and enjoyed it, but there was way too much footage of you walking. We wanna see you play!
It can't be beaten for accuracy and at
Age 69 I still hit it out there with my driver, 245 would be a good yearly average.
And as for those divots, as Moe Norman said, "Bacon strips, not pork chops"....😂
Thanks for another great comment!!
*AWESOME* !!! Keep up the great work and have fun out there!!
Tom
I literally raised my hand when you asked if we are ready. Bring it Tom!!
Guilty too
Best TH-cam golf teacher. Agreed it takes sometime to make changes but we have never hit the ball further in our life. At 60 we hit it further now than we were at our 40’s.

Best regards,
Tom

Tom
Great lessons. I'm an athletic 40 year old who should hit long, but come up short all the time. All arms, no hip rotation, poor hinge. If you feel like you should be longer, are swinging hard, it's probably because you are disconnected. I used this tip, it forces wrist to hinge, torso to tilt and rotate, stops body sway and makes balls fly straight as it's impossible to go outside in if your right bicep is tucked against your side. The key is that right arm, don't let it leave your side, even when loading up for driver. Keep up this theme across lessons - love it!
Hi Jon,
You are absolutely correct about that trail arm, and I'm very glad to know that this lesson video helped you!

My dad taught basically same way. But he had me put a head cover in my armpit. If the head cover drops you didn't keep your arm against your side.
me too - same story
Thanks!

I have been watching your videos for the past 2=mos. Wow, they have helped me so much. You are the most innovative teacher on the internet. Love your humor and just the simplified way you explain the golf swing. Just watched 4 videos tonight Can’t wait to go to the range and try to make these simple thoughts into my golf swing. Great job Tom!!

@@SagutoGolf I have also benefited SO MUCH from your videos, especially this series. I’m curious how far you hit some of your clubs, like your 8 iron and your driver? Just so I can compare ya know?

I have seen several of your videos, Tom. Great stuff, and very entertaining. I was taught by a hands instructor many, many years ago. Your way by Hogan and Palmer is best. I am working on the changes now. Many thanks.

Cheers!
Tom

Used your tip on the back swing by the belt line and it made irons soar today. Just got to keep them from going left now. Thank you!

*BRILLIANT!*
Thanks very much for your kind words, and keep up the great work!!
Tom
Great instruction and sound explanation... starting off now... thanks
Fantastic! Thanks Kennion - I look forward to hearing about your progress!

This is the most amazing tip, it is one out of the hundreds that simply works.

Ag - Sadly I do not presently have an opportunity to play golf as often as I'd like to, so I can probably find most of those spots and lies you referenced just by playing my own ball.....😆😆😆
I'm glad you are enjoying my channel's content!!
Cheers!
Just wanted to say man, love your stuff.
Thanks Andrew - I appreciate that very much!!

Great tip. It feels a bit mechanical, but works and the easy repetition has greatly increased my consistency.
I'm glad to know that this helped you, D H! A swing change of any significance will almost always feel mechanical when first implemented, but when we put in the necessary time and begin to take ownership it gradually becomes second nature.

Bro... you are killing it.
Thanks,
Tom

Pretty much, review and give your thoughts on bslls, clubs, etc. Your insights and articulation are top shelf. Taking it to the course today. Whatever you make, we will watch!!
Hey, Tom. Excellent instruction. I see a faint trace of the great Bobby Jones in your methodology. Thank you!
I appreciate that, Chris!! I am flattered that you see some elements of Mr. Jones in some of my videos! Of course you may perhaps find absolutely no evidence of him in others...😆
By the way, I have heard from others that my recent "Caddyshack" video lesson conjured up notions of Mr. Jones' fluid swing style. Have you seen it? Here's the link if not: th-cam.com/video/6Il4kvA84No/w-d-xo.html
Thanks again!

This system Stack & Tilt is fabulous .I am hitting it further now than ever before . Lovely soft draws that go a mile
Ah yes - she's a thing to behold, that lovely nuked baby draw!....

Cheers!
Tom
Great job. Seems like you covered it all in a 10 minute lesson. Thanks.

Will be working on this off season. I know it, just need to drill it. Only problem that messes up for me is left lead wrist will occasionally cup and open club face.
Hi Mike,
With regard to your left wrist, try these lesson videos:

Sounds good!! I hope it plays well for you!!

Useful tips👍👍
Just found your videos and can’t wait to try on range but do you ever hit the range to show ball flight and distance? It looks like good contact but an assist with sky tracker would help so much!
Hi David - I'm glad you found my channel and hope that your game will benefit from the instruction provided here!
I do use shot tracer periodically when I believe it will fit well into the lesson video. Here's a recent example: th-cam.com/video/UnOMjaDl3fE/w-d-xo.html
