- Hey guys! I finally came back with some (hopefully) exciting content--Commuting challenge in Manila! Watch me and my friend Lia explore the different means of transportation in the Philippines! 🙌

Jessica's experience was actually very Filipino. When you're in a rush, suddenly your tricycle/jeep needs to gas up hahahahaha

I remember one time I asked the driver if he has still a lot of gas before I board the jeepney.. then he shouted at me to GET A F*CKING TAXI!!! ahaha
So true or kaya yung bigla rin papalipatin kayo ng jeep.

Commuting in Manila even if you're local is also a challenge. I had the same reaction when I first rode the LRT2. It's actually better than MRT. Great "feel good" upload Jessica. Thanks for this video and for including Lolia. :)

@@Alibadbad I rode both of them and I can say that the feels when you rode the mrt is kinda "old feels" you know while the lrt feels more advanced like those in other countries.
MRT 3 actually already improved. The trains are much colder now compared to LRT 2. Still, the trains are wider in LRT 2 and has automated announcements, and the stations are definitely better. Probably because LRT 2 is the latest line.
the good part is DUTERTE already started the whole change in MRT and LRT bought alot of new trains and 6 years is really not enough to fix that MRT kasi talgang pinabayaan yan ng mga past admin thats the saddest part. nakasakay na din ako dun sa bagong Train gawang japan
I find it funny when Jessica said the LRT is cool because South Korea's transportation system is heaps better than what we have here in the Philippines. When I lived in Korea, it was a lot easier for me to go to unfamiliar places for the first time because of how uniform and organized their transportation system is.

Imagine the daily experience of filipino workers in Metro Manila, all parts of the country go there just to earn a living, during my OJT 4pm onwards was hell people were like zombies running just to ride a bus and I had to stand for hours just to go home, respect to Lia and Jessica for putting themselves and showing everyone how difficult it is for the proletariat.
Our government does'nt care about the plight of ordinary filipinos because they have cars and will not experienced the ordinary commuters had to endure everyday

When asking for directions, always get confirmation from at least 3 people. Some people you've asked pointed the wrong direction because they probably didn't understand English or unable to give directions in English. If the person is struggling with English, go to the next, a college student or a working professional perhaps. I'm sure there are many. From your starting point, LRT station is just a few meters away, but they pointed you to far MRT.
Content Suggestions Jessica: Visit places in Luzon with Lia by just riding a bus. Start with Baler, Pampanga, Pangasinan, La Union, Baguio, Sagada, etc... That should be fun and interesting
maybe include Lia's sister too.....a sibling rivalry might be more fun and interesting.

Yay!!! Finally a vlog that's very entertaining and exacting for me. Not to say that your other previous vlogs were not good, I just find this more entertaining! Cubao is my hub whenever I visit. It's convenient going to Makati, SM North/ Trinoma (MRT) and to Divisoria and Chinatown (LRT). I hope you did a challenge also in Chinatown as it's walking distance from Divisoria. Congratulations to Lia for winning the challenge! Great to see you and Lolia again!! Getting lost is always somewhat fun as you tend to remember the way next time. Next time, explore Cubao a little. You should also have done a little history of Cubao like you always have done with your trabaho series. Looking forward to your next challenge! Good luck to you both and may the best woman wins!😊. You should also do a vlog what to see/visit along the route of the MRT and LRT. This will be informative for those who wants to visit Manila.
As a suggestion, NEVER, NEVER ride the train during the rush hour commute if you can avoid it. It's packed like sardines and sometimes the AC does not work so you'd be physically rubbing against someone who is sweaty and sometime with B.O. (yuck!!) Also, if you do need to take it during the rush hour, there's a section only for females towards the front. Enjoy your commute!
If you know what and where to ride, commuting is not that really hard as long as it is not rush hour! I also like LRT2 because the trains are new. Some trains are also upgrading to newer ones. Same with the PNR.
Commuting in Manila is a struggle, you need to wrestle your way to ride either jeepney or bus.
I wish Lia have to start her own vlog na Rin..she's so pretty just like Jessica..♥️♥️♥️

You know how they used to joke around being a commuter in Manila, 'isa kang MANDIRIGMA'.
Because you really have to become a warrior navigating the complicated streets of Metro Manila. Good thing both of you aren't afraid to ask the locals for directions.

Lucky you since the LRT 2 has the fanciest trains of the 3 rail transits in MM. Wish you could try the LRT 1 and MRT, too. Lots of places you could end up going to. I hope this is the start of a commuting series. Good luck!
I thought Lia is a petite girl, but I realized she's tall. She might be 5'8 to 5'9 as she towers Jessica who is 5'7.

This is such a fun challenge! I might try doing this challenge too, when I go to Manila. I'm not really used to commuting, especially commuting alone, so this will be a new and fun experience!
Yes im happy to hear that our railway system is currently expanding rn with 5 under construction lines im excited to see that
Jessica. There are Provincial Bus Terminals (Airconditioned) that you can check to ride North bound and South Bound Provinces. 1) The Makati Park Square beside the Landmark, Glorietta and Greenbelt Malls. 2) PTIX Coastal Road Paranaque Roxe Boulevard corner Coastal Road and Macapagal Avenue. Do you know that there is a province that has Natural Hot Spring that comes from Mount Makiling? Try to visit Calamba Pansol Laguna and it is One hour and half provincial bus ride from Manila. And also try to visit tagaytay tha main attraction is overlooking the Taal Lake and Taal Volcano at the middle of the lake. Tagaytay you can make a staycation because there is lot of bread and breakfast hotel. The places that tagaytay to offer are People's park, Ayala Highlands, Picnic groove, Starbuck and McDonalds place overlooking the Taal lake and Taal Volcano, Bag of beans, Twin peaks, and restaurants of Bulalo and Lomi.

lmao had the same struggle when getting a ticket for the train 😆 I had no beep card back then and had no lower bills left with me so I got no choice but to avail with a 100 peso bill 🤣 and my change was 80 pesos COINS !

This is so fun. I also like LRT more than MRT but I have a bad experience riding on LRT and that was during rush hour. So you're lucky to have to ride it at a time when there are just a few passengers.
Kudos to these ladies for braving the Streets of Metro Manila and using public transport without their phones.

well, actually jessica was right. it's really difficult to commute in Manila, it's because there's a lot of transportations everywhere and the roads were so tight that it's really minimum to fit the cars on the roads. also the another problem was the vehicles that can really cause traffic. while the transportations here in Bacolod was really easy. although there's also a traffic here, you can still control your patience HAHAHA it's really not that stressful to commute here in Bacolod especially you'd get used to it. the only difference was the amount of people and vehicles living and staying in Manila and in Bacolod. can't wait for the another chaotic divisoria vlog with you guys!❤️✨

From farmers, take the bridge up to gateway, from gateway you can see signs going to lrt 2, from cubao station take the lrt to divisoria.
Enjoyed watching your vlog po. Actually LRT 2 was one of the fanciest train I rode at since it was connected to Antipolo. To give you an info po, there's a planned extension of the LRT Line 2 going to Pier which will also have a station to Divisoria. I hope magawa na siya soon. 💖💖

Have not taken LRT2 at all. LRT1 yes when I was a student in Manila Science HS in Taft in the late 80s. MRT very few times. Already had a car when it opened in 1999.

Hi jessica.. great vids you have there. I suggest that you try to go/live here in Clark or Angeles City we have korean community here in "Korean Town" as well as in Clark. Some koreans told me that Clark is quite similar in Korea and it was refreshing because of the nature and less populated compared go manila. 😊
