    The first half of the th-cam.com/users/postUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.

    What you need to do is get a funnel, cut off the spout, turn it upside down and the feed will not collect in the middle where they can't reach it, but be pushed to the holes. Love the project from scrap. Great job. Look forward to you vids.

    For gluing up those long mitered corners: Lay all our boards out flat with the long edges up and touching. Put blue tape down the whole length of the seams. Turn it over with tape on the bench and put glue on all the faces of the miters. Now just fold the seams closed and put another piece of tape around the circumference to hold the seams closed while it dries. Also, if you let the glue soak into the boards for 5-10 minutes and begin to skin over on the surface before putting the two edges together, it will dry strong much faster.

    Mighty fine! I kid you not. Granddaddy kept his pocket knife unreal sharp.He would go out in the yard and pick up a stick of cedar.
    I can still see him sitting out on the porch a pile of shavings beneath him whittling down that rough hue into a cigar shape
    thing of beauty, far smoother than any machine could have ever done. I miss him that old place and that old porch. It's a subdivision there now.O but in my mind that place still stands. Granddaddy whittling sitting out on that porch and I wanted to be just like him!
    thanks 4 the memory! God is good. 1 Cor 15:1-4

    Nice job! When it comes to woodworking I'm so bad I had to nail two boards together to cut them the same length. The thing that got me though was that beautiful table or workbench you were working on. You made me want to yell every time you started drilling. And when you started finishing your birdhouse you slopped that finish all over it. I know it was only a finger-jointed tabletop but I wish I had it. As always love the video and God Bless.

    • @falllineridge
      @falllineridge  3 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @bigtom2062

    Just tip, you can lay those tube boards flat, side by side, with the 45's down, and use painters tape and run 2 strips the whole lenght. Then turn the whole thing over and glue the angles, and roll up like a tool roll, and tape up. Let dry, then nail. Looks awesome...
