The first video of yours I watched was a Denbigh one, It is sad to see it in such a bad state now and those floors look deadly but on the other hand the decay makes the photography more interesting especially were the vines grow through the windows and stuff. It's still an amazing building, the architecture outside and in is creepy, I love those arched corridors 😎 Nicely filmed and great editing, top explore as always 😊👍

Excellent Tracy. The place looks massive.i think old asylums are the best.there used to be a massive asylum 5 mins from my home in huddersfield Storthes Hall.sadley most been flattened and redeveloped. Thanks for sharing.👍👍👍🏚

Hi Tracy, do you know The Cure's video of "Charlotte Sometimes" ? It was shot in a former asylum too and were musically speaking the spark that launched the original gothic rock wave. (Not that Smith & Co were happy with the result, he said after watching the video "I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry" but it fed his inspiration for the following album "Pornography". There's these words in one song, "A charcoal face bites my hand" because he found charcoal drawings left there by the asylum patients.)
It is a shame kids do not have more respect for these buildings, the irony is that when they get older and mature a bit, they will kick themselves for trashing these places, which were once beautiful and proud, now lain to waste by mindless morons with nothing better to do than to wreck everything. I would love to visit this place and do a shoot there but it is so ruined that i am not sure it would be worth my time driving to wales, which is a shame but there are 100s of trashed buildings in the uk to choose from, and they all look the same after a while, despite some being more grand than others. Good work Tracy!

Great explore, too bad it is so trashed. At 3:44 those were electrical panels for high voltage. They stripped them for the switching devices/fuse panels inside and the copper. Your background write up in the description was very interesting. As you said , not the place to go to when tipsy or when it is dark out. I would have loved to have seen her when she was new (but not as a patient). She must have been quite magnificent. Thanks for sharing!

I either built or renovated 34 office complexes in 35 years (like your Canary Wharf). I also have a love for architecture and history. I always took great pride in my work and my abilities to accomplish what I did with no official schooling. I was taught by the “Old Timers” only I fall in that League now. As always Tracy I’m glad I could help you with some knowledge and thank you for sharing such magnificent places I will most likely never see. (It is a shame she is in such a state 😢.)

Googled this place....used to be a stunning building with amazing stairs which I guess have all been burnt in fires etc
ajadrew hey yes unfortunately there has been a lot of fires and it has a lot of graffiti and been badly damaged by Vandals and weather
I read a CPO was in place with a view to restoring the main parts of the building but this seems unlikely to happen now due to the fires...
