    I know this is older, but the knipex for me, is little electrical connectors. The 11" hold a nut in hard to reach places, while i can screw the bolt in , and i really like that little diamond shape ◇ to hold a nut. And then the precise tips , really good with fuses, spade connections, any tweaks, ... 🎉 LN46ACF is a choice for anything you throw at it, just more brutte

    I have a lot of Knipex pliers as well. I bought the Snap On Needle nose and now they are in my pocket all the time.
    The finish on them looked like rust but you can not rube it off. I showed this to my Snap On dealer and he will exchange with me. He just did not have any on his truck that day.
    I also bought Blue Point Cable cutters from my Snap On Dealer. I first ask him if I could try to cut some harden 6 Gauge wire and he said yes. & he cut with them as well. WOW what a BIG difference from these compared to Kline cable cutters and the Kline Linesman Pliers. The Snap On Linesman pliers cut way easier than Kline. I do have Knipex wire cutters & or for cutting cable. They cut soft cable fine & romax. Knipex has never made cable cutters that will cut steal & or hardened copper 6 Gauge wire.

    I never thought it was worth spending the money for Snap-on pliers but I ended up getting a few used and they are nice. Also got the Snap-on crimper/stripper at the same time, like them too.

    I've always been happy with Channellock and they are the #1 plier brand I buy, but I've got a 1950's pair of Snapon #196 Vacuum grip needle nose pliers from my grandfather that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world.
    Channellock pliers aren't always pretty but they've been reliable for me and they're affordable, Needle nose pliers aren't a heavy duty use tool for me.

    Henry is such a noble & handsome looking dog. He is handling his new role as the smartest tool dog on the internet very well. I will put my Klein needle noses against any and all. I have never owned snap on needle nose but i have all the other top brands.

    I'm extremely picky with my needle nose pliers, just like you. Most of what I own are Knipex (the duck bill being my favorites, although they're not really needle nose) but my longer sizes are Snap-On and they're definitely worth the money.

    Is it strange that I am from Germany and I own more Snap On pliers than Knipex?? I totally agree with you on the handle. Knipex just feel fragile. The Snap On stuff you can abuse.

    • @CPthetooladdict
      @CPthetooladdict  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      People thar think everything knipex makes is great are the same people that don't understand that the test project farm does are not realistic and don't endure the test of time you will never apply that kind of force to something to break stuff I enjoy project farm but he even states alot that his test are extremely "subjective" and the Japanese pliers are the best bang for your buck. Snap-on is definitely not fragile.

    Snap - On needle nose pliers are great for working on cars , but for a Electrician or a HVAC tech ; Klein or Knipex are in their hands every day for years .

    I Think I have the same pliers I believe, had em so long I don't remember if they are straight Knipex or MAC version. Have to look tomorrow. I tend to default to my double hinged or double X GearWrench pliers, just because of their reach and leverage advantage. But it takes so many to get the job done it's just another weapon in my drawers.
    ...uh oh, wait.

    On the subject of deflection...deflection is a HUGE problem with locking pliers(vise grip type)..most of the time when you need a locking plier on something broken to twist it, gripping with the ends of the jaws is the ONLY way you can get a bite on it, and they ALWAYS deflect twist off the object...even the Vise Grip brand ones...my pricey Malco eagle grips do better, but still deflect a good bit. That is one situation where I like my Grip On style locking pliers better..I have 3 pair, one Channelock brand, one Proto brand, one Snap-On brand, all made in Spain by Grip On..the ends on these style pliers grip MUCH better and deflect MUCH less than the Vise-Grip style pliers...other than that, for other uses, I prefer the Vise Grip style..I like the release lever setup better and the wider jaw width...

    CP - love your channel - but could you possibly put a towel down and place an item you want to talk about on it and keep it there - all your video's you are moving the items constantly in and out of camera focus (mostly out of focus) - this one thing would make most all your videos so much better - the people who are hung over have no chance to view your videos.
