You're supposed to live like you have all the time to waste, if everyone lived in fear of dying everyday it'd be utter chaos. You're wasting too much time trying to figure it out. Quit being so critical and live your life. You'll die when you die oh well eat dirt, you won't even know you're dead cuz you'll be dead. All the people that knew you will remember you for a couple weeks but life goes on and other people they love and care for die and soon they'll be dead. It's like no one ever even existed, life is awesome we're all living dead people. Cry about it
The exact opposite is true. Since our time is limited we should make great leaps without fear so that we have the absolute best life possible. We all die, but we'll leave something that benefits others after we're gone.
Yes I think people do think you have all the time in the world. Which is not true. But I like the perspective on the afterlife. I do not believe when you die everything just goes BLACK and you cease to exist, that thought idea never made sense to me and just sounds stupid. So I don't think you loose much when you die, unless you've been extremely immoral and killed and raped people. I think those people will be punished because just "dying" isn't a punishment if we all die.
