- Given to Odd Hougen on his 58th birthday and with his name carved in, Odd has given the 2018 Strongman competitors one of their most formidable events yet.
The odd-shaped stone has been buffed smooth over centuries making the task to just get some air under it seemingly impossible.
Who will prevail?
That performance by Mateusz Kieliszkowski was one of the most amazing feats of strength I've ever seen
Most strength can be extrapolated to one's own progress, but that effort legitimately made no sense to me and it terrified me as well.
he also had the best technique for lifting those stones. Everyone else tried to copy or emulate his style after that. That was high IQ lifting.

I was actually really impressed by Kieliszkowski. Like really, the kind of impressed where i started applauding in front of a computer. I know everything that all of these men do is absolutely inhuman but you have to admit that while you logically agree that these strongmen are doing unbelievable things you get blasted on the internet with so many incredible things all the time that your sense for wonder kind of gets dull. Watching this actually got the hair on my neck up, that was insane. Thank you!

He is an incredible strongman. Dude even fucking managed to keep up with Eddie the Beast in the logg press on WSM. And sure it was during the heat, but still incredibly impressive considering Eddie is known for his pressing strenght (and would go on to win that very WSM)
Definitely, he has what it takes. Just need to mature for 2-3 years, and he will smoke everybody.

Mark Henry didn't hear what the Polish guy said. He said that he trains with a stone 10kg heavier, so this wasn't that surprising for him.
No he said he trained at home 10 kg heavier but I only ever get 1 maybe 2 reps, so it was really surprising for me to get 4 in this event today and Im really happy.

He said he trained with a stone 10 kilos heavier, that’s how he was able to lift it so many times, no translation needed just need to listen. Incredible multiple lifts, I love lifting odd objects owning a demolition company we have some competitions at work, and if I had these guys on my team I wouldn’t need heavy machinery, love these guys, God Bless these men of steal.

I started lifting stones not too long ago, and even a 200lb stone can be completely befuddling. The odd shape poses a huge challenge in just figuring out how to get it off the ground. Beyond that, getting it up on your shoulder can be individually difficult as a lot of natural stones don't roll as easily as a round Atlas stone. It's like solving a really heavy puzzle.

Strongman is healthy in moderation, just like other strength sports.
It becomes unhealthy when you take it to extremes, like strength training over 10 hours a week or gaining to much size.

Mark Henry must be the most useless commentator I've ever heard. He misses jokes, doesn't listen to the other commentators or the athletes properly and talks rubbish incessantly while they're trying to put all their effort and focus into the lifts
I love mark but he needs work...I think the dynamic needs work. You need a really good play by play guy, this other guy isn’t that, he’s not a solid announcer. Mark can play off of a solid play by play with some color commentary. They are both kind of doing both jobs and it’s getting messy and albeit, annoying. Vince McMahon or Dana white needs to help them refine the process. Plus the walking around the stage way too much, it’s visually distracting.
