There are many unique aspects to Real Existence that sets it apart from many rock songs: the starts and stops, Miku's little breakout vocal line, Akane's double tempo gallop, and Kamani's solo. I mean, who would ever put that kind of solo in a rock song? But it works... just like all of the plot-twists, complex density, and genre-merging they employ on most of their material. Every section offers something different than the previous one. That's one reason many people -- unless you're a musician - may find it difficult to get into their music at first listen. As tightly integrated as it is, there's so much going on. And then you add the Japanese language and maid outfits... But for people who like and appreciate their writing, musicianship, performance and personalities, Band-Maid's beautiful cacophony of excellence offers unlimited rewards for repeat listening... and mega stardom for the Maids, imxo. Oh yeah... and BRAVO Band-Maid 2022 & 2023 USA TOURS ending at the 16,000 seat Yokohama Stadium on Nov 26, and the 1,800 seat MacPherson Stadium, Mongkok, Hong Kong Dec. 21! Thx, Zwodrey!
Great comment Tom. I forgot to tell you i was operating one of the dry ice machines for this vid. I thought i did a very good job....until i noticed the real smoke from the fire.😬
@@GaryHolloway-810 Yeah, people think all that dry ice smoke is for stage effects when it's really part of the fire extinguishers to keep the flames down during the Maid's super hot 🔥 performances. I thought it was cool you didn't wear your shoes, too! 😏
"SCOOBIE DO"..one of the very few Japanese bands I listen to.. (not because there aren't many...just how I am). And have physical CD's...Been around awhile..have a funky 70's sound...(plenty of good bass). Discovered via Cluppo. Their bass player plays on Miku project.
@@Bodneyblue Omg Bodney you like some weird stuff. I've never heard of them so i picked a random song "Cold Dancer" & they sound like 70's disco funk....& the Japanese drummer has a big bushy afro. Japanese + Afro = 😳 Huh?
@@GaryHolloway-810haha....he does indeed Gary! ..very retro...especially for a someone Japanese (at least I think so). Being old enough to remember the 70's funk.(though young of course). The music kind of takes me back.
I have heard this song live in a small concert hall in Paris in 2019. It was the first song of the concert. It felt like experiencing a sonic carpet bombing from the go, leaving the audience in shock and awe.
