Thank you so much for this video. I saw it 3 years ago and now I have a successful home bakery businesses!! This video has saved me so much stress withy spring form pans!
my cheesecake's crust got burnt when i plaed parchment in my springform. Is it because of the larchment itself? Or maybe the ingredients or the baking time or other factors? Thanks in advance:)))
If you mount your bakery business with the help of this video, has you think to gift this man with at leas 1.000$? He made possible your wealthy why not gift him.?
What a lovely gentleman you are for generously sharing such an easy and helpful tip! I'm a novice user and learned the hard way about leaking, so I decided to research here on TH-cam and thank God for your video!❤
I know this video is a few years old and it may not seem like a big tip but I do 15-30 springform cakes a day in my restaurant. I've been using this tip from you for two years since I came across it. For 30 years I had cut the disks for all my pans in the morning. I showed my staff this trick and all them just starred. Not only does this save serious time, I no longer have to seal my wet batters ( i.e. cheesecake) with a foil wrap. Thank you, my friend!
I have been baking for YEARS and never thought of this! There are much more complicated methods, but this is perfect for my purposes. I have just one springform pan, but need 2 cheesecakes. This is perfection- thank you SO much!
I wish I would have seen this yesterday when I made a cheesecake for Easter. Had a heck of a time removing the cheesecake from the bottom pan. I'll do it YOUR WAY, next time! Thanks!
I just used this trick to line a spring form pan to make a cake for my dad for Father's Day! :) I'd always had troubles with spring form pans leaking before, this was so helpful, thank you so much!!
That's the way I always do it, and I wondered if I was the only one. After I clamp it together I just take a pair of scissors and roughly trim off the excess. It doesn't matter if you leave some protruding around the edge. Another advantage, besides being quick and easy, is that you get a tighter seal because the paper is wedged in the crack between the base and side, so the pan is less apt to leak.
why didn't I think of this?! it's simple and brilliant. I've always traced before, but I always end up with it being just a hair too big or too small. this is so much better!
Just came across your video, what a great idea, I'm going to try this later when I make a cheesecake, I always have problems removing it from the pan, thank you so much,
What a great idea! I always use parchment paper on the bottom of my springform pan but for some reason I still have trouble transferring it out to a cake board. This method gave me the idea to leave the excess paper hanging out so that I can easily grab onto it to lift my cake out. I'm going to try it this weekend.
Really enjoyed his video! I’m about to make this cheesecake for a coworker and it’s my first one! This is a great tip and much better than tracing and cutting it out! Great job sir!!!!
Thanks. Just got a spring form pan and my first try at a crustless quiche leaked out grossly and wouldn't set after I set it in a water bath. This is very intelligent AND easy... going to try it for my next attack.
Hi Skoggit, I will remember your way of lining the pan...I also made a cheesecake, it nealy ruined my pan. Because it caramelized that inner ridge where I could not open that pan for anything. My pan is now clean, functional, and ready for your way of lining the parchment paper. Thanks!
OMG THANKS THATS JUST WHAT I NEEDED but if only i saw this two days ago ....my cake batter had leaked from the pan and made a whole mess .. thanks for the tip😁
Perfect. I'll bet I can use it to bake my regular pound cakes too. My old pan became lost and the only large pans I've found (large enough to hold my batter) were angel food cake pans, but my batter leaked through!
It’s almost so easy that it makes me feel dumb for not even thinking about doing this Lolol… I literally just took 15 min trying to cut the perfect circle for my spring form pan lololol.. this is genius. Thank you!
Your way is much better and easier than all of those fancy high end Bakery chefs demonstrations we see on social media! Thanks Hun!☺ Oh, by the way. You dont parchment the sides?
Glad I hit upon this video. I'm going to tackle my first cheesecake soon and this looks very helpful. I would suggest one dialog change, however... "If you don't have a knife, you can tear it like this." If you don't have a knife, leave the kitchen. Now.
Oh my gosh, I've been wondering how I'm going to protect the pan I borrowed from my sister. This week will be perfect for Thanksgiving next week. 😃😃😃 Thank you!
This is a great idea! Thankyou. I was just about to bake a Victorian sponge cake with my daughter, but i was feeling down that everytime i try to bake it always leaks out. This method will definitely keep the batter in the baking tin. Great video. thanks again.
You're the bomb! I was just getting ready to make a chocolate cake in my Pan and I thought how am I gonna get that to not leak this time!!😫 Is it did just that last time. Again thank you so very much!
Smart, using the spring form to pinch the paper in place!! Thanks Charles! I leave some of the trim on because I have found it is easier to grab a hold of and move the pie or cake. Your way is also good! Thanks for the comment! Take Care!

You're the bomb! I was just getting ready to make a chocolate cake in my Pan and I thought how am I gonna get that to not leak this time!!😫 Is it did just that last time.
Again thank you so very much!
It was my pleasure. Hope it worked out for you and your cake was a big success. Stay Safe & Take Care!
Smart, using the spring form to pinch the paper in place!! Unlike some that suggest tracing the circumference of the form with a pencil and then cutting it out, and the paper has to be held in place with brushed on butter, which isn't ideal. Probably ought to trim that excess paper off with scissors so it's not so jagged looking, no?
I think you could line the inner edges with measured/cut parchment paper, too, if you're concerned about the sides sticking; but the non-stick surface of the form should prevent that. Mine haven't ever stuck, so...
Thanks Charles! I leave some of the trim on because I have found it is easier to grab a hold of and move the pie or cake. Your way is also good! Thanks for the comment! Take Care!
Does this prevents leaking?
I like your way...thankyou
Thank you! Take Care!
