I used to listen to this album (on cassette tape) when I was a boy with my best friend every morning when we folded papers for our paper route. I lost him to lymphoma when he was 15 and me 16. This song has always been my favorite and you honored it beautifully, while still making it your own. It made me cry. Thank you Nick Thank you! - The video even made it magical.

Sometimes as human beings we kind of have to remember that alot of the things that are made special in our lives, like the relationships that come and go, fond memories of loved ones we've lost and even riding the wave of a brilliant album of music for a time are special because they don't last forever. If everything lasted and was infinitely good it wouldn't be special. We have this privilege, and your memory, whilst painful in your heart also comes with the magic of one human who was here on this spinning rock experiencing something that to me is as raw and bright as any burning star out there. Awwww I'm so sorry 😔. I lost a very dear friend when I was 15 and she was 16. Just got her driver's license and pulled out in front of a medical bus that was doing 50. She had pulled into a gas station where her boyfriend worked to say hello and was hit when she left. He saw it all. There was a school bus parked on the side of the road in front of the gas station and she couldn't see around it. Her inexperience made her believe the coast was clear but unfortunately it was not. That was in 1986. Hard to believe she's been gone that long. Anyway I'm so sorry for your loss.

A bucket list item for me (I'm 47) was to see Elton John in concert....2 years ago I was able to see him preform and sing...I had tears in my eyes and when I listen to you sing this it brought me back to that moment in his concert. BRAVO! it's an encore from me 🎶 ❤️

Nick , I’m in my 50s so let’s just say I have heard a lot of people try and pull off Sir Eltons “Rocket Man”! Some were OK and some were awful! When I heard the music start, I thought to myself, Oh God here we go again! I’m sitting here with tears running down my face! You have the ability in your voice to bring me back to my childhood! You paint a story with your voice! Sir Elton does this when he sings! You caught me off guard and captured my soul! That is what a true performer is supposed to do! Your voice is beautiful my friend!
