I was at this show live and have to admit I popped hard for Cena's music and then booed him during the match. Guilty as charged 😢

The night where Hardy wins it all. One of my favorite matches of all time. And shows that WWE can do long term story building. Almost a full calendar year of building towards that moment.
I honestly believe Jeff Hardy was supposed to cash in MITB at WM 24 on Orton. There was talk about Jeff winning the MITB match before he was taken out the match and based on the history Jeff had with Randy it would make sense.
Simon seems like the kind of guy I'd want to go have drinks with. My hero.

Not only did no one know he was at MSG, no one knew he was in the US. John Cena was in Europe on Saturday.

The first match between Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels (I think)
Goldberg vs Chris Jericho (one of Goldbergs better matches)
Triple H vs Kevin Nash inside Hell in a Cell with Mick Foley as guest referee
And a wierd 'match' between Stone Cold and Eric Bishoff

This was the first Royal Rumble I saw as a WWE fan, and my first time seeing John Cena.
I have a suggestion for you, Simon, if you haven't done it already: How about a retro ups and downs for your favorite PPV from past eras: New Generation, Attitude, and Ruthless Aggression.
Went back and watched the last part of RR, got to admit it was fantastic.

As someone who was watching wrestling during this time (but no longer), I kinda feel embarrassed nowadays to admit that Santino didn't really click with me back then. Looking back now, the man was clearly a genius. No matter how dumb the material, he could always elevate it to something special. Not to mention that he was actually really underrated in the ring. Just how Simon says with Sheamus, I think Santino will be considered a top tier talent that WWE will definitely miss.
I'd love to see Bound for glory 10/10/10 on retro ups and downs. That show single handedly got me into impact wrestling.
