Thank you so much for your videos! Quick question. I tried activating all of the cupcake quests by taking to each character and getting the assignment first. I would then make the cupcakes, but they wouldn't have the quest symbol on them in my inventory. Going back to the character who gave the request, they asked me again to make the cupcakes that were sitting in my inventory. Even if I make more, they still don't have the symbol showing they were ready for me to give to other characters. Anyone else have that problem? I'm playing on Xbox in case that matters.
Oh yeah, I ran into this yesterday. It's a rather annoying bug that won't allow the daily quest to start/generate. Every time you speak to them, they just ask you to make the cupcakes again, but the quest never starts.
To fix this issue, simply restart your game. Upon reloading, you should be able to initiate the quest.
I'll pin your question in case anybody else runs into this!
I had that problem. I restarted the game and then it worked for me. Ngl gave up cuz I thought it was a bug in game xD
Auto cookers and vacuums are my best friends for this event!

Thank you! ❤ I still don’t have blue and purple buttons. This helped. I took a fishing buddy with me and usually got an extra blue button every time.
Fishing buddies will duplicate buttons! Did you know the number of total companions influences how many duplicates you get? All proffesions work this way, including fishing! Here's the breakdown:
1 fishing villager = 20% chance +1
2 fishing villagers = 40%
3 fishing villagers = 60%
4 = 80%
5 = 100% for +1
After 5, you're garaunteed a minimum of +1, but now each additional villager provides a 10% chance for +4
6 = +1 with a 10% chance +4
7 = 20% chance +4
And so on...
At 15 fishing villagers, you will always get +4 duplicates. Going beyond 15 gives you a 10% chance for +9
As mentioned previously all proffesions work this way.
I have 25 mining companions in my valley, so I always have a 100% chance for a +9 duplicate when mining. 😁

@ChompyGator No prob! I think a lot of people were just eager to see what all of the rewards were. Players also often use the multiplayer duplication exploit.
Personally, I don't use it, though! No judgment to those who do! I like to progress through events fast... but not THAT fast! 😂
As always, your video is informative and well produced. This morning I was trying to save some time completing the cupcake daily quest so I made 5 level 1 auto cookers and started all 5 sets of 5 cupcakes. My thinking was that if it worked I could have them started today and I could pick the up when I need them tomorrow. During the test run this morning I started the cupcakes before talking to the characters. Then I went and talked to the characters to start the quests. I don’t know if it was a glitch, but when I went back to the auto cooker and collected the cupcakes the cook tasks were completed and I was able to move on to handing them out. I have already started a set of 5 each for tomorrow morning to see if it will do it again.
What are your thoughts? Do you think it is a glitch?
I don't think it's a glitch. It's the same with the cooking tasks for the star path: it doesn't check the task once you prepare the auto cooker, but only when you collect the cooked meals. So I guess your strategy will work completely fine. What would not work was if you prepared like 20 cupcakes and have them already in your inventory.They have to be freshly cooked or colected from an auto cooker after you activated the task with the villagers.

The amount of Pixel Dust you get is determined by your score! You get a base 100 Pixel Dust for submitting and additional points from your score! It also always rounds up!
So, if your score is 86.4, you'll receive 187 pixel dust. Your score can be increased by using high value items (items with 3 to 4 bonus/requirement tags). Pixel Dust is basically your Dreamsnap XP so this info can help you level up quicker!
The community challenges make me wonder how many players DDV has? There’s an average of 3K players on Steam, but what about the other platforms?
Disney Dreamlight Valley has sold 487,000 copies on Steam. The 24-hour peak today was 4,660 players. (This is not the total number of people that played today, it's merely the highest number that were on steam at the same time.) On May 1st, the game reached 7,388 players online at once but around 40,000 logged onto steam to play throughout the day. The all-time high at once was around 15K
It's important to note that the "average player count" is not the average number of people playing that day. It's the average number of people logged on at any given time. The game typically peaks each day around 18:00 UTC to 19:00 UTC with 5000+ playing live. From 6:00 UTC to 7:00 UTC, the game reaches is daily lowpoint with around 2000 players playing live.
In order to have a constant average of 3k players logged on at any given time, tens of thousands of steam players need to be regularly playing DDLV throughout the week/month.
Outside of Steam, you can get an idea of DLV's active player base by breaking down Dreamsnaps ranks. (Excluding Playstation)
Top 7.5% get 4K moonstones. I've seen people with a rank as high as 8000 get 4K moonstones. When that happens, that means over 100,000 people submitted dreamsnaps... and that's without counting playstation.
Outside of Playstation, the average dreamsnap challenge yields 4K results, usually up to around rank 5000. This puts the average playerbase for Steam/Switch/Xbox/Mac combined around 80K to 85K weekly players assuming EVERYONE submits a dreamsnap... and we know thousands of people don't always submit.
If I had to wager a guess... I'd estimate the total number of players logging onto Dreamlight Valley at least once a month to be somewhere between 150K to 200k for all platforms. That said, it could be more, but I doubt it's less. That's just a rough guess, though.

Ahhh i just dont think the yello button is a error... they have to be working on soemthjbg because thats how o made the aurora cupcakes before they were available on accident lmaoooo
Does the vacuum have to fully upgraded? I've got one at the 2nd upgrade and it isnt picking up the red buttons, only the flowers

I had Scrooge tell me to give cupcakes to the villagers the day of the update but I didn’t know it was a daily quest so I didn’t do it. Now I don’t see the option for daily quests anywhere and have talked to the main villagers and nothing pops up. Is there something I’m doing wrong?…

I'm pretty disappointed with the community challenge rewards honestly. I assumed they were decor or clothing items. Even motifs, but so far it's all been resources that I can gather myself.
The 300 moonstones they sent out today honestly shocked me... and not in a good way.
