I've got a Revox B77 tape machine that was from Radio Caroline. I wish I knew more about it but the guy died and left it for me. A cool bit of history but I never use it. Still has all the sevice notes and stuff.

The Boat is Rocking Again - Maybe a bit too much haha ! Lots of Rock. Should have played The Sound of Music like you nearly did. It would have gone down well I"m sure. Don"t be afraid to play a few odd ones - makes good radio. Great to have you back !!!

I have seen some posts which say why bother with AM.....Well being selfish, it certainly helps me; I listen in the Humber area on car radio; very good reception when driving around.

I can not wait for the video of Andy and Richard turning on the transmitter the opposite of what they did at midnight 6 years ago tuning of bbc radio 1 have to take a holiday to orfordness and take the ferry over to the park and look at carolines aerials have to be careful and stay of the old bombing range do not want to get blown up from the old ordnance that is laying around

Try medium wave during the day 648 if you have a shortwave receiver switch to side band especially down towards south London with a good arial and you should pick them up they switch aerials at night to avoid interference with a station in spain Andy Matteson richard Harrison's colleague and Mate along with John Marks posted a video explaining the airals and how they work and their radiating pattern and the transmitter from crfordness that they are using bbc radio 1 service yes Caroline had come to london even though it has been stated that is is not possible to see their site it is not true you can take the ferry out to orfordness park and go past the national trust information blg and go up on the old observation tower wear they watched the bomb tests and look down the other side of the old testing range and low and behold you will have a clear view of Carolines aerials I think they are only open during the summer have to check the nation trusts orfordness park website for more information

Try during the day their are time when they change the phase of their array and get into some parts of London use a very high arial or even a long piece of wire as high as you can and if using a shortwave receiver try either upper or lower sideband

It’s ironic the one question ‘without being political what on earth was all the fuss about?’
The answer to that question is a certain founder and his possible links. The Government had Caroline heavily monitored and feared its success. Caroline being a financial success was a danger.
Politics was always in play here.

So nice of the BBC to give you your transmitter and transmitter location thank you for posting Johnny Lewis stole his opening program from Charlie wolf a very good mate of mine sounded like him on the Cape cod station he used to work at of course he is president Marconi broadcasting owns three stations also you have to post a video of Andy Matteson and possible Martin Fisher and who ever else took the short boat ride out to the transmitter site and turned it on Ray Clark is very good at shooting video My mate has done the same once on the Ross Revenge out at sea of Our mate Hank imitating Nick Bailey interviewing Ronan Riley and he went right along with him he was removing my mate Allen for causing interference to the bbc like to pump up the transmitter to around 250000 watts from their operating power of 50,000 at night. All of you Broadcast engineers put the bbc terrestrial radio broadcasting service out of business greated your own company and are slowly putting them back on the air running their own transmitter as they should be and running the programing which you want to and the world likes to hear and I know personally that a couple of you are using some of those old transmitter on the 75 meter amatuer radio band at around the same power as Carolines transmitter using a remote switch and separate receiver those german transmitter really sound nice with mono double sideband on am and get a lot of distance with puchy audio at around 200 percent modulation I love listening to you guys on the tag and abba nets it is nice to see my Ross Revenge contact qsl hang on the wall in some of the videos made that contact a few years ago during the special anniversary of Marconie broadcasting global wireless special event Caroline's transmitter site used to be a former facilite of theirs all involved in the global Mist Project.
