Medic you should encase the drone in resin. Tinted slightly green with a bottom that looks like the pond's bottom the drone could be like it has been for the last 6 years but on a shelf. Or you could rebuild it.
Glad you recovered your drone, appreciate the concern to the environment regarding the battery, but most importantly I love your attitude to life and the world around you ❣️. You are a very good man and by that I was greatly impressed by you giving away items to your friends especially Sluice, the look on his face and the tears in his eyes prompted me to do the same kind of thing, to take stock of what I have and start to give to who needs and can make the most of it. Thanks for being an inspiration. Angel in disguise.
For real. I've given away a bunch of my bikes lately. Next up, I sort through all my video games. I'm the kind of guy that has like four Ataris, two PS ones, etc. My homies are about to get some cool stuff to play over the winter if I can get all the wires together.
Rinse the card in fresh water and let it dry and clean the contacts with some vinegar. Don't give up! 🤙 glad to see you finally got it that's awsome congratulations.
@10:38 Your excitement totally reminds of Doc Browns excitement when he finds out their going to need 1.21 gigawatts😆❤️ Thank you so much for the many years of continued RC awesomeness. Throughout so many of your videos I have laughed, shrieked, cheered, learned, and even shed tears of joy. Thank you for what you do. Much appreciated 👊😜
I feel like I've been waiting for every for this, Rebuild series? Lol. If I'm not mistaking there's a company you can send sd cards to that are destroyed or water damaged and they can recover the data. I've seen it on TH-cam before.
I miss watching a video or two of your videos, but when I saw that you were going to dive with this pliers to retrieve your drone, I watched this video first, I was so impatient to see this rescue, and when I saw the drone in the video I couldn't help but shout "IT IS HERE !!" 😄 Well I thought you were not going to be able to get it out of the mud and all the algae that blocked your drone, but you were patient and in the end the rescue was very successful, I am really happy for you . And this lipo battery will no longer be in the pond and that's a good thing . One more word : BRAVO !!
Awesome medic you did it. Never clean that thing and hang it from the middle of your garage ceiling. Try that so card again after a few days in some rice.
I bet a 'borrowed' emery board will clean those contacts up enough to read the card. Also I'd love to see an attempt to get that drone back in the air.
9.5k views 3 hours get it bud your doing it ....love your content and awesome how u have your family in it keep it up much love from Long Beach California
IT HAS RISEN FROM THE DEEP!!!!!!!!!!!! This is one of the best episodes you have ever done Aaron!!!!!!!! This is just a purely MEPIC day!!!!! Someone with some more advanced software may be able to get something off that memory card, but none the less, just to get it out of there is the culmination of years of trying and never giving up on a goal, well done my friend!!!!!
What an awesome journey It has been. I've had the much easier path of just watching though. Let it dry and then clear coat it as is with the mock and the plant material. Preserve it how you found it as a memory, hang it on the wall In your shop as a trophy . CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Holy shit that was the most stressed I've ever been watching a RCSparks video. What a ride I'm so amazed you got it after all this time. What a great video
Congrats on never giving up. Much respect for picking up your drone out of the pond and not just leaving at the bottom to rott. Those fifish v6 are pretty expensive so most people would’ve just left the drone and bought another one but not RC Sparks. Thanks for helping the environment👍 be pretty cool to see what else you can find in that pond or maybe somewhere else. Looking forward to another episode like this was awesome in my opinion and the joy coming off your face was priceless. With the chip card you might be able to buff out the corrosion using a small buffer on a dremal but definitely recommend to let it air dry for a week. Keep trying keep wiping it and trying everyday I’m sure something will eventually come up on your computer. Best of luck on retrieving the footage and awesome job once again on getting your drone back. Hats off to you sir 😎👍
Medic... been watching your channel for years and saw this whole thing transpire. Amazing. You are the OG and this will always be my favorite RC channel
Been watching for 10 years and you are one of the best utubers on the net...I actually fist pumped when the claw grabbed that elusive phantom... a journey shared Aaron thank you much love to you and Gem and little Maurice be safe
I've been a long time fan of the channel, glad you managed to pull that out of there. I actually work in digital forensics and have been for about 8 years. While I can't promise anything (6 years is a long time for corrosion) I'd be more than happy to help out and take a look at it and see if I can't pull anything out.
That was so cool my friend!!! I was literally on the edge of my seat with fingers crossed that you were going to be able to get the drone out, unfortunate but expected that the sd card didn't work. Congrats on the epic retreaval 6yrs in the making!
This is still one of my favourite videos, the sheer joy that you have during this video, one of the most rewarding videos in my opinion. That claw is amazing.
OMG BRO!!! You got the Phantom back!!! Yeah, nobody with a lick of common cents thought you'd pull it out, recover the video and toss it back in the sky. But dude, so cool! So much thanks for sharing the hunt with us. Be well. Live long and RC prosper with us! Thanks bro!
That is so awesome that you finally got that drone out of the water. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that is going to be checking the background in future videos to see if it's displayed somewhere
Wow, what a journey. Man, I'm glad you were able to locate the drone. That's for sure a hard work trophy. Great seeing you get your Phantom Lake Trophy.
That's an amazing bit of footage. I, like so many others have been watching and cheering for you to finally resurrect it from "Davey Jones' locker". I hope you had a few brews in celebration, congrats!
i cant believe it...the reason i started watching was to see if you would ever get it out of the pond. Now i cant wait to see what fun you get into next.
Hi Dude! You are as enthousiast as when you find Gold ! I'm so happy for you Dude! You Lost it you looked After it and found it years and years after his lose!! Better late than never.. thanks for this fun moment..
CONGRATULATIONS! That's really amazing that the props didn't hit anything and snap. Maybe contact a CSI unit, they might be able to retrieve the card contents. How awesome would it have been if it did work right away though. Maybe just leave the drone, and get some fishing line and just hang it from the garage ceiling... as a trophy/ display.
Congrats! Definitely clean it up and have it on display! Maybe in a glass cabinet, with pictures of your various quests to recover it. It would make a good conversation piece, not to mention the memories.
DUDE!!! I have a story for you. My apologies as it will be a bit long. As a young boy... and even into my late teens and early 20s, I used to love my ONE RC car that my parents bought me for my birthday as a child. The original basher of all bashers... a Tyco Turbo Hopper. let me tell you... I beat the living $#!t out of that thing... and it just kept going for years!!! I can't believe just how versatile and capable it actually was for a 2wd, as I would even rock crawl with it. (though I didn't even know what rock crawling was back then) you couldn't buy replacement parts for it to my knowledge, so my dad and I would build our own parts from whatever we could find that would work, to keep it going. however... at some point in my late teens/early 20s, I had bashed it beyond repair. I kept it for years after as I could just not part with it. I have soooo many amazing memories with that lil beast. After all, not only was it my favorite toy... with all the home made repairs I had made with my father, it had basically become my own lil Frankenstein. I moved out of my parents in my mid 20s... so sadly... and now regrettably, I decided to let it go to its final resting place... to deteriorate for the next 1000+ years in some landfill somewhere. (boy... do I wish I had it now) once I became a brand new homeowner and all the adulting responsibilities that come along with that... (though I never lost my sense of play) I honestly never really thought about it or RC in general ever again. until about a month ago or so, when I came across your TH-cam channel. Since then... I have been binge watching soooooo many of your videos. Your excitement and love for this hobby is AMAZING!!! and is exactly how I get when I get excited about something. in regards to RC... you've helped me remember just how much I used to love it. Now... I am officially back in the hobby... i've bought a little horizon Rucus and Roost for my 6 year old daughter and I, to play with together... and she absolutely loves it. (of course i'm a lil partial to the roost as it reminds me of my Turbo Hopper. haha) not only has it helped to "spark" even more memories of my time with my Turbo Hopper... I see many similar ones being created with my daughter. and these lil things are amazing lil bashers... to get her started. Now tomorrow, i'm on my way to get a couple axcil minis as I have already built a few lil mini out door courses on my farm. and eventually.... i'll work my way up to a TRX4 custom trail truck build and then hopefully... if covid ever goes away... maybe i'll make the trip from Ontario to Alberta for a TTC!!! ANYWAY...I know this has gotten way long... but with the off chance you ever read this... and make it this far... I just want to let you know, that your channel is more then just an RC TH-cam channel. it is literally changing lives and helping to create amazing bonds and memories that families will cherish for a life time. sooooo... thank you for that!!! So with that being said... you have not only re "Sparked" my love and excitement for RC, you've reminded me of a way I can spend hours of fun bonding with my lil girl in a way other then just loafing on the couch watching cartoons... So I cannot thank you enough!!!! Congrats on the successful drone recovery!!!!
Oh WOW!!! Thank you for the pin!!! I'm glad you enjoyed my long winded story!!! hahaha Just about to leave now to go get my mini crawlers and saw this notification!!! perfect timing!!! hahaha
I think many of us in the RC community have a story or two to tell. Some of mine involve old toy grade RCs like the Tyco Fast Traxx, which I was never able to afford nor were my parents. My favorite truck, wasn't a RC but very close to, was a Galoob Flex. My grandparents bought it for me. My parents were very poor and were on welfare so we couldn't expect much and didn't ask. After I moved out and started my own life I got into hobby grade RCs and I now own 12 as well as having bought my neices, brother and his GF their own too. I've got boats, planes, trophy trucks, monster trucks, crawlers, and Rock racers. Long long steps from having had RCs from Hills, Ames, and KMart department stores of the time. They'd break in a day or two most often and it was typical that the gears would strip out or the wiring would let go. At the time I only saw nitro RCs and I was too young to know how much their really cost and thought I would never own something like that. Then $1000 seems like $1,000,000. If I seen one of the ones I own now (Losi 5ive T) back then, I would have went nuts over. It's funny cause I never had a penny to my name growing up. No allowance and the only money I'd ever have was collecting cans from the railroad tracks. At least till I got a job. Still never had very much money at 5.15 an hour. Much of which was spent on fuel, my own insurance, and just necessary things in general. Took years to climb out of that hole I was born into. Looking back though, it's taught me a lot about how to control spending and choices to better my future. I spent more on most of my RCs than I spent on my first vehicle and I never thought I'd be here. Crazy how things change when you don't want to end up like it was when you were growing up.
@@SebastianLong WOW!!!! Great story!!! thank you for sharing!!! Very inspirational also!!! I love hearing stories like this, instead of the same old cry for sympathy... "My parents were poor, so poor me, i'm not going to do anything about it and continue the cycle, kind of scenario. I love to hear that you believed in yourself enough to know with persistence and determination you could climb out of the hole you started in. WELL DONE!!!!
Wieee, at last you got it out of there! and I dont think that there can be a better commercial and review of this underwater drone, honestly, you can say, that after six years of searching, you also got it up! Congratulations!
MEDIC!!!! Sweet! It has been a long time dude! Congrats on that accomplishment! Can’t wait to see what’s next brother! Awesome machines, one hand washes the other ! WooHoo!!
Congratulations Medic after 6 years 👏 💥👍🏻 Maybe you can take the card to some kind of electronic restoration place. Or someone that is very tech savvy that can get info off of card. Been optimistically waiting for the recovery of the drone. Well done my friend.
Dude!!!! I’m so pumped! I wondered if you was going to be able to pull it off the bottom. I’m not even sure I’d clean it off. Dry it and put it in a glass case lol. Trophy!!! Congrats brother!
Wow Aaron, The absolute Joy in your voice said it all. Absolutely blown away you recovered the Phantom!! Deeply awesome!! I've seen quite a few Phantoms crash due to the battery shifting during flight as the latches aren't really that secure. Worse as they wear. Micro SD.. I'd be persistent, try a couple of card readers, try popping it into a samsung smartphone if you have one... Would love to see it's final flight... if it blacks out in the air.. my bet the battery unlatched... Awesome Vid mate!! Smiling from ear to ear brother!!
Finally!!! I have been following your work and growth on the channel for so many years and this is one of the culmination of experience and technology in our hobby. I felt like I was there on the lake 👍. Bravo
Awsome, that was a great! glad you could finally retrieved your drone. I could almost feel your excitement on the other side of the sceen lol! Great job!
Awesome!!! I am happy to see that you have finally found it!! Watching all your videos on the hunt for the drone makes it feels like a little victory for me.
Damn dude! The Mythical Underwater Phantom!!! Finally slayed! I love it! HUGE Congratulations on finally getting it back! Now if only I had a way to recover my Armattan Rooster from the bottom of Kootenay Lake....
That’s kind of like a trophy of all the hard work you’ve put in all these years, you should figure out a way to display it in the shop!!
After a good hosing lol.
I bet u can take the sd card to a professional electronics guy,bet he could work some magic n bring the phantoms Last flight to life.
Oh definitely, all that's needed is the chip from within to still be good, and being that it's pretty much sealed it'll probably be just fine.
Yes, I agree. It should be recoverable. It would definitely be nice to see that last flight.
Just put it in some rice and it will be fine🤣🤣
hope he sees this
Memory Express may have a idea who can restore the data @djmedic2008.
Medic you should encase the drone in resin. Tinted slightly green with a bottom that looks like the pond's bottom the drone could be like it has been for the last 6 years but on a shelf.
Or you could rebuild it.
I say rebuild it. That would be pretty rad
Definitely Resin or something similar to keep it for years to come.
Persistence definitely pays off. Way to go Medic.
That’s almost as good as a great a feeling as getting a RC in a complete build kit and running it for the first time!!
Can't wait for a rebuild series on the drone!
Just stumbled upon this guys video and I must say, his extreme happiness gave me extreme happiness. Thank you RCSparks Studio!
This is why I do my show.. so it gives other people smiles and happiness like that :) Thank you for commenting and letting me know it workd
Awesome medic you did it. Never clean that thing and hang it from the middle of your garage ceiling.
Try that so card again after a few days in some rice.
You HAVE to restore it and make it fly again!
YESSS IM SO HAPPY WE ARE FINALLY SEEING THIS AGAIN
I bet a 'borrowed' emery board will clean those contacts up enough to read the card. Also I'd love to see an attempt to get that drone back in the air.

That was one word: AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the commentary of these videos. It’s like watching a directors cut

Progress and perseverance paid off, well done Aaron 👏, I knew if anyone could retrieve it, it would be you.
😁👍 What a great video! That Zoidberg machine is awesome! So cool you finally got it!!
DUDE!!!!!! CONGRATS! Sparks Salvage and Recovery! Man Vs Pond! EPIC!
Could take the card to a pro shop and see what they could do with it.
Pretty cool and interesting video of the recovery drone. ^_^
I've been a long time fan of the channel, glad you managed to pull that out of there. I actually work in digital forensics and have been for about 8 years.
You should watch kevintalbot might like him too and see if there’s another one you can buy of what you used to have
@@SebastianLong WOW!!!!
@@jdmjanitors8942 I watch Keven Talbot as well... thanks for the suggestion though.
WooHoo!!
That is a great achievement! Good job
This is the greatest thing I’ve seen all month.
Yay! Congrats, man!

Every once and a while you just have to stop and really appreciate how far technology has come, especially in RC toys :)
