That little laugh Gareth gives when he hears £42,000 😂😂
😂🤣
😂
The laugh at 150 sold CDs keeps the background giggle theme going.
This is for the stapler
Eat it Out! @@unhappiness8465
Fukn Gareth really chooses the best times to not be the loyalist he usually is
This episode was after Brent had been sacked and Gareth had been promoted.
@@johnp515 i really need to rewatch this series haha
Yeah, Brent was out and Gareth was made manager and suddenly Gareth stopped pandering to Brent and started being honest. It's pathetic because when Brent was manager he stupidly believed Gareth actually respected him. Here Gareth proves he was nothing more than a duplicitous worm all along. They really turned up the pathos for that Christmas special as Brent realizes what a pitiful figure he is.
@@curiaregis9479 but he gets the girl and manages to tell Finchy to bugger off. Minor w haha
@@buffering-rn5xi True, David Brent gets a small redemption arc by the end. Brilliant show.
The 50 to 150 is gold 😂😂 the glance to the camera on juxtaposition record, genius😂😂😂
This shows the difference between the UK office and the US office. The US show made the boss a lovable goofball; when things start to get a little cringey they always soften the blow. The UK show made the boss deeply pathetic, and they lean into the cringe mercilessly.
American comedy has the guy be the underdog but come out on top.
British comedy has the guy be the underdog and always fail no matter what they do.
@@Melsharpe95 That's very true you look at something say, Big Bang Theory v PeepShow.
Which ended with the Mark and Jeremy.... 12 years older. That's basically it.
@@Ryan.90 Just keep on... keeping on.
@@Melsharpe95 Peepshow being the exception that proved the rule, that's another massive difference between British and American sitcoms, brevity?
US version 9 seasons, 201 episodes, whereas British went for 12 episodes and 2/3 specials.
(I don't think the 2013 one counts).
Either way massive difference, in the UK one Tim and Dawn finally kiss at the end, whereas their American counterparts get married halfway through.
I dunno, personally I like how we're left to draw our own conclusions,
I bet if you asked there'd be load of people who said, 'Yeah, I bet they're still proper happily married, sending the kids off to uni and deciding what they'll do when they retire'
and other people that are totally addament they'd only last a few months and realise they were actually really incompatible.
Loveable? I always hated Micheal Scott. He always makes everything about himself and is so annoying. I always wanted him to get comeuppance lol
150 pound on a 42 grand investment. Classic Brent
profit on that
You steal 1000 post it notes…you’ve made…profit
I love the faces that brent makes so much. Ricky as brent got the best British comidic faces
It’s the last face he makes that gets me 😂😂
"Juxtaposition Records 😶"
‘What was that shit, what was that shit, what was YOUR shit?’
😂
'Cost is a bit misleading because I paid for everything myself' a line stright from a contestant on Dragons Den?
Brents little glance to camera are Gervais Genius
Juxtaposition Records 😂😂😂
I'm crying 😂 gervais was electrifying in this role
I love the little look he gives to the camera after naming his record label
Same thing after the stapler in the jelly incident ‘theres children starving in the world.. which I hate’
'IFF YOU DON'T KNOW MEEE!'
"No you won't, no..."
Waaaaaaaaaall the things!
@a.tanner8524 Haha! I could hear it, and more so see it, but most importantly, feel it.
@@a.tanner8524that’s my favourite bit and the very first time I saw it I was howling 😂
@@garydon19 haha yes me too.
Juxtaposition Records
He's so chuffed with that name it's amazing
@@hero2342it's not a bad name 😂
@@mariajukejax9649it's such a tryhard name
Omg i have to watch the office again....absolutely hilarious...
As an independent musician, I felt this on a personal level 😂
substitute 'independent' for 'loss making'
I hope you sold more than 150 records and loss less than £42k😅
Yep, this describes the music industry of the last 15 years with near-perfect accuracy.
@@baTonkaTruck your experience or "the music industry"? Cause some people made a lot
@@baTonkaTruck Why you lie? What past 15 years? It was the case for much longer time, hate it when people try to make everything about "this is fault of our time". Bs
The face Brent makes when Gareth says they’re still in the garage. ☠️
The more questions asked the more uncomfortable he got lol
That final face he pulls 🤣🤣 brilliant
I wish I had 1% of David Brent’s irrepressible optimism!
Didn’t get in the Top 100? “Good! Because I didn’t want it to!” 🤣
Loved this episode, the sudden switch of power and Gareth made no attempt to hide his glee.
Brent mused...
classic ! XD
This made me do a little giggle
@@happydude6713 Nah, you're spreading joy :)
Can I Borrow A Feeling 😂 same vibes
Best song of the 2000’s
They're still in the garage 😂
"wwWAAAA'LL the things..... that we've been through..."
You’ve charmed me
that is my favorite line :D
Every time i laugh
Completely without context and not even in this series let alone episode and I still guffawed stupidly reading it
@@adils786He mused…
so...
Started watching everything Ricky done after this...loved it
Clears his throat when asked how many records he sold 😂😂😂😂
I saw Foregone Conclusion at the Hammersmith Apolo back in 2016 when Life on the Road came out, it was one of the greatest nights of my life.
Probably worth quite a few bob today if those CDs were actually made. A reall collection gem.
Gareth's got some probably still in his garage.
Half expected him to say Parley 😂
Isn't that the dude off pirates of the Caribbean the one that loses his eye 🤣
Genius. He changed the game.
WhaaaALLLLL THE THINGS
THAT WE'VE BEEN THROUUUUUGH
The famous Juxtaposition label.
Mick Hucknall wishes he was this good
Absolute classic. One of my favourite scenes in the Xmas specials
That’s all outgoings tho
David was refreshingly laid back...
His single was the biggest contribution to music of all time
“Roughly? £42,000” 😂😂😂
Ricky Gervais was in an actual band back in the day
An actual band? 😂
@@michaelb2388 Yea, Seona Dancing th-cam.com/video/vzbqAibXruU/w-d-xo.html
Seona Dancing is the band name :)
@@michaelb2388there’s a few photos
Like a rock band?
Superb acting from Gervais.
His performance at The Office UK really is underrated
Gervais is a genius 😂
Juxtaposition records 👀 (absolutely amazing) 😂😂I
Why is it so good? What am I missing?
@@Dudemon-1 if you don't get it, I can't help ya.
The greatest show in the history of television. A work of rare, unparalleled genius.
Ashley Jensen is the voice!
You intrigue me.
The single was still better than Texas to be fair.
They're still in the garage 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Gervais is as good an actor as he is comedian. All the subtleties in this 30 secs are note perfect.
The fact that Gervais never had any formal acting training is astonishing.
I love the thinly veiled anger in davids "NEXT". He HATES that he didnt get in the top 100
He shouldve brought out Free love on the free love high way.
Deffo better than the USA version hands down 😂😂
100%
For any one who doesn't know, this is actually funnier because Gervais irl was part of a band for a couple of years, it had one semi-hit that did break the top 100, but they never broke the top 50 and the band fizzled out soon faster. Also, as part of a 2013 charity benefit Gervais in his character as David Brent did actually produce a collaborative single with UK artist Doc Brown titled 'Equality Street', and I can't remember if it was chart rated but it's actually not bad, the song has a catchy ring to it and "David Brent's" vocals are good enough that it makes you appreciate Gervais' musical background.
Every local band
Is forgotten how funny this is 😂
I can’t even bring myself to watch the us office because whatever anyone says the original is untouchable sheer genius closely followed by detectorists
The funniest thing about this is knowing that Ricky was an 80's pop singer.
The change in tone when he says "juxtaposition records" is too english
He was so proud of the name Juxtaposition Records xD
Every metal band ever
He’s a real mate though
I just knew it had ti be the office.
This is giving serious Michael Scott energy 😂
I've been sitting here for about three minutes, wanting to write a response but simultaneously wanting to stop myself. This was my compromise, someone else can fight this battle.
Sounds like the lead singer of that band Seona Dancing.
My mate was very proud of his three rejection letters from various premier league football teams! 😅
Until I watched the episode with subtitles I always thought Gareth said "I just threw them in the garbage." (Which I suppose would be "in the bin")
Woooooooah the things that Brent's been through
would love to the outtakes on this one
Original and BEST
Juxtaposition Records said proudly hahha
More to Lose is a banger
Im Scottish and absolutely love Steve carrel and the American version John kranski and rain Wilson are two of my favourites plus pretty much all the cast are brilliant but there's something about Ricky's office that just hits different and even thou it doesn't have the longevity i prefer it 🫶🫶absolutely top notch and up there with the best 👍
I should watch this show again :)
Thank you for your love and support towards me ❤ hope you don't mind how long has you been a big fan of mine 🎉
We all know someone like this 😂😂
£1 for every single sold on 50 RECORDS and he reckons that's his "lion's share" WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Genius
Mr Toad!
gotta watch uk version, could funny as well
Random fact of the day- Juxtaposition Records is on Companies House and Ricky Dene Gervais is down as the Director 😮😂😂😂
Juxtaposition Records 😁
Youve charmed me
Good. Didn’t want it to. Next 😂
Gosh this hits harder than our drummer.
David only lost 41,850 pounds
Roughly..
The lady sounds like the one from Extras
I checked and it is
It was a hip-hop record.
Gareth is so cocky since he jumped in brents grave so quick.
ONE HUNDRED And fifty!
What a great show 😁
Vanity Press
His decisions.
I can't help feeling sorry for David even though it's not real
Love it 🤣👌
'Roughly'? ... '42k pounds' 😅
That's 87000 pounds when accounting for inflation in today's money.
I forgot how awkward this show was 😂
Is that the dude who plays the one guy on POTC? Idk his name but the one with the wooden eye always getting into a bad position 😂
