The forest on top of the mesa was pretty nice. And then the view just before you descended was really nice. Pretty interesting town as well. Nice hike!

Hi Cameron, it was really nice in the forest, especially after fighting through all the vegetation below. And it was a nice view off the edge too. Jerome was neat, although it looks like a lot of it could slide down the hillside at some point. Thanks!

That’s definitely your best route and summit combination.

Hi Piece Train, I thought it would be pretty interesting to start in downtown Jerome and make it up from there. I possibly could've tried straight uphill from town, but I think the road gave me less off trail. It was neat to get it done and finish up the hike in town.

My test of how poor my off trail route choices were: how many holes did I rip in my shirt? 😂 it happens. I saw a news blurb recently on the town of Jerome because Amazon started refusing to deliver packages up there. Looks like an interesting town!

Hi Travis, I definitely had some holes in my shirt, and more in my hands and arms. It's a good test, but sometimes you have to go through that stuff no matter what. I'll have to look that up about Amazon, but the down definitely reminded me of PA with the houses built the way they were. It's definitely a steep place to build a town.
