Personally, I’d argue that the Purple doors don’t count. You can see that the Playermodel never actually makes contact with the door, and that the only part of the door that it touches is the handle, which is golden/yellow, rather than Purple. That’s just my personal opinion, though.

With the normal levels yes but with the captain toad ones you can see the light on toad's head clips with the purple on the door.
In my opinion it has to be counting hitboxes and not the models

Purple bricks and brown bricks sound different when broken, and those shadow bricks seemingly use the brown brick sound.
What about if you touch red the world and color switches
you can't touch red in world 1
no orange in world 2
no yellow in world 3
ect.

Aww, I'd like to still see Mario Kart Tour streams on TH-cam, since I don't use Twitch as much, but do whatever you feel is the best for you.
WiiU games always get ports with more content, even though what that "content" actually is varies wildly. I'm just happy that 3D World is one of those that is getting quite a lot of changes and also new content.

I was wondering how they’d handle some of the Wii U-exclusive stuff in the 3D World port. For example, the fan platforms. The Switch doesn’t have a microphone, so they wouldn’t be able to activate via the mic. Maybe they’d make them tap-activated?

I 100% agree about not liking exceptions in challenge runs. Gamechamp is great cause they're honest when they fail a run and then just revise the challenge from "can you beat x without y?" to "what is the minimum y to beat x?"

Just to be safe, i think you should count things that have blue/red and white or multiple colors in general on them as all the colors they have on them, but teal is still teal, not blue or green.
Also, in Ceave's defense, he does try to keep the number of meta left presses at a minimum, and when he does make one, he records it, and I think at the end of the run he counts them up alongside gameplay left presses (of which i believe there are none). Also, the "world map doesn't count", and thats where (i think, i haven't watched that video in a long time) all the meta left presses that Ceave made were. Keep in mind, you (and the people that do those sorts of challenges) can just call it "How many times doing X can you beat X game in?", it doesn't need to be that restrictive, though "Can you beat X game without doing X?" is better clickbait...

About the exceptions and the “meta left presses” thing, in your challenges, you don’t count the world map, which is an exception to the challenge, much like meta left presses.

Well there's a difference. She's not doing a challenge run. She's just making a video. If she did "Is it possible to beat the entire game without touching purple" I think she totally would count the World Map.

just so you know in world 2s shadow level the blocks are actualy black sorta beause of how they made the effect basicly the ground is invisible so no worries
A few things about this run. The doors are purple, but you don't touch the door, you touch the doorknob which is yellow. In world crown, the moving platforms are a shade of red, not purple.
The sides of the moving platforms are purple, but the top is not.
A thing you can do to test things colours to get rid of any debate, is to take a screenshot, put in in MS paint, select the colour, save it as a custom colour, and hover your mouse over. It'll tell you what colour it is. For example; the crystal thing in world 2 that you couldn't tell the colour of, MS Paint declared it lavender, which is a shade of purple.
Those blocks in Champion’s Road honestly looked a lot more red/maroon than purple, I personally wouldn’t have counted them
For champions road, The SMG enemies are blue and the platforms that move are red. But when you get to the swinging spike logs with the fuzzies, you’re pretty much doomed.

In Ceave's defense, Meta-Presses are primarily for world map stuff, since it'd be no fun if you couldn't try to beat actual levels because of the map.

My two cents on the Boomerang Flower:
Due to the fact its model contains both the colours blue and white, it is to be counted both as a blue and as a white object. I don't see why it has to be either or.
The boxes in the shadow area are wooden crates you can tell from the smashing animation
