you can also store your necklaces in plastic straws!!
Great tips Rebecca. I hope I don't have to move again. Moving is fun packing and unpacking is not.i guess the decorating at the end pays off. Thank you for sharing this with us. I love the tips about the necklaces, I had a hard time getting them all apart .

Paper grocery bags make the best padding for breakables. Tear them up into square pieces roughly about 8" or so, then crumple them up into balls. The balls of paper are sturdy enough - yet have enough give - to keep valuables in place without breaking. You can also partially un-crumple them to fit into different spaces.

When me and my family moved from my home state NC to my husband home state Ky that was a regularly a 4hr drive but with the biggest uhaul truck it took like 6hrs going around mountains isn’t no fun when you are behind your husband in a big truck like that it was scary too me, oh but he was having a blast!!
Anyway we took something’s like one of our cars down and we just put some pictures that were expensive we wrapped them in like throws or quilts so that they wouldn’t get broken. We put smaller pictures and glass items in drawers with clothes or in boxes with like old towels and blankets .. We just focused more on the glass and picture items and if it was some type of stuff that was important too us we just put it in our safe.. What was so sAd is we gave away a ton of stuff and still didn’t have enough room on the biggest truck you could rent. Plus I used my car too put what would fit and still had things left over.. I told my husband then, we aren’t moving again and we are going to give away a ton more stuff and donate too... You really don’t know what you have till you have to move, it’s not for the faint of hearts!! If we ever move I’ll do what you done, go through and get rid of things!!!
